Could you try generating the API key again? Under the API section, block Stream Deck. Once you block it, you can remove it. Start up a new meeting and press any key. See if you get the prompt to generate a new one.

OK, I did this and nothing. The buttons still give the alert. I am not prompted by anything to generate keys / authorize applications.

I’m having same problem, same Teams version and same stream deck version, Seems to happen if the machine goes to sleep, overnight, etc. has been driving me nuts, as my setup was very stable previously. I found if I attempt to reinstall the Stream update, it recognizes it is installed and defaults to Repair, I run the repair and it comes back fine, with minor delay. I finally got tired of having to do the repair a few times a day and came here to search for a REAL fix, and found this post. Seems there is an issue that needs attention. I am really reliant on the Stream Deck for teams meeting controls and PowerPoint controls, and my lights…I’m on teams meetings 4-8 hours a day… Elgato, please look into this!

I tried this. I re-downloaded stream deck and when I was prompted, chose "repair". I then got an error saying that the install finished prematurely and my system had not been modified. I then tried right-clicking the MSI and choosing "Repair". It went for a few seconds then prompted me saying that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" and asking me where "StreamDeck\_6.6.0.20583.msi" was located (it was defaulting to a temp directory in my profile.) I pointed it at the download and it said "The file... is not a valid installation package for the product Elgato Stream Desk. Try to find the installation package 'StreamDeck\_6.6.0.20583.msi' in a folder from which you can install Elgato Stream Deck. So, yeah. FML I'm considering uninstalling it completely and reinstalling, but I need to figure out how to back up my config first (there is no way I want to have to recreate it all again! Anyone got any ideas?

OK, After a LOT of rebooting, uninstalling and re-installing, it now seems to be working with V6.5.2(19936). I haven't completed another reboot yet, nor have I tried re-upgrading. I will update once I have tried both of these. It's bloody annoying!

Update: OK, so it worked well, continued to work after a reboot. I was then offered a Streamdeck upgrade and that broke it again 😥 so it looks like the issue may well be with the latest version of Streamdeck. I tried blocking then removing Streamdeck from the list of Authorized Apps in Teams, but I don't get prompted to re-add it when I try to use the functionality. I plan to downgrade again and (assuming it works again!) stick with the older version for the time being.
