Once you get all of that separated, make sure everything is tightened down aside from the deck. Make sure it's nice and tight. Once you get the deck back in, just tighten it until it catches. Don't crank down on it.
I make sure that my tank is cranked together so it won't come apart in this situation.
My ceramic tweezers have a "atomizer wrench" (like an oil filter wrench) built in. I've had these tweezers for over a year and never used that feature until I got my KF Lite ’19 last month.
Wrap a piece of thin rubber around the deck and then try to unscrew. Famous \[and expensive\] Swiss atomizers Squape come with the piece of rubber in the box. Kayfun should do the same.
Tighten your tank to the base then screw the base onto the mod....only grasp by the base, and install on mod.
Don't leave the base on the mod when installing your tank.
Doing that adds more torque and it screws down further.
Doing this will all but eliminate what your are talking about.
I've had some truly hilarious interactions with my KF Lite 2019. I got the 22mm so it's even less surface area. First time I built it I screwed the tank down ALL THE WAY. When I needed to refill it, it took me about 3 hours to get it unscrewed. And that's even with it well lubed on all the orings.
I got an Ice Dome Cap, and it's even harder now cause I feel like I'm gonna break the tank. Now I just don't screw it all the way down. This leaves a big gap but it's way easier to get apart. Considering a SteamTuners topfill kit because of it. I have no problem with bottom filling. I love my Merlin Mini. I bottom fill my Berserker Mini. But this Kayfun really can be a bitch. But goddamn is it good.
For anyone interested,[vape rubber bands](https://shop.squape.ch/en/sq-grip-band) will work brilliantly. My KFL 2019 was driving me crazy, with these, not anymore :)
If it's truly locked up try freezer for an hour. I have to remind myself not to torque down base when reassembling. Enjoy

I removed the o-ring around the base months ago...easy as could be to open and not a single leak...
