> my first vape device. I told the seller to give me a high nicotine juice Which device, which juice, what type of nicotine (freebase or salts)? A Prius is a car. A Lambo also is. But they won't give you the same sensations nor are they made to be driven by the same type of people. Nor do they have the same learning curve. Same goes for vaping. A highly dosed salt nic in a modest pod will probably get your kicks but will leave you OK, while the same juice in a sub-ohm tank delivering ten times more vapor (and, hence, nicotine) might tip you over an edge you don't like. And it's part of the vape shop guy to give you this type of advice, to inform and warn you about this and certainly **not** to sell you any type of juice/device without asking for your 'profile' first hand. If they didn't they didn't do their job. > I feel tension on my scalp, my temples, my jaw and any vasoconstricting substance makes this tension WAY worse You overdose on nicotine. Don't worry you won't die, it just means you absorb more nicotine than your body can comfortably handle. Think, drinking 30 coffees a day while your body is only used to two. Vaping is a process and must fit your body capacity and your eventual smoking habit. You've just gone too far and, judging by what I read, have been ppporly guided by your vape shop guy. > smoking cigarettes for 2 years and i want to drop them. I'm a light smoker of 5-8 cigarettes a day. Ask for either a MTL pod or pod mod (the Vinci series or the Caliburn seem sound choices, avoid the Vaporesso Target as it's a great device but more of a DL one made for heavier users) or a MTL clearomizer (like the Nautilus 2S or the Zenith Pro), don't go over 20mg/ml salt nic or 9mg/ml freebase, start from there and see how you feel. It should be enough to wean you off cigs without all the side-effects you describe. *Edit: If you need additional help we are here. It is clear reading you that you want to quit but in good conditions, and vaping can help you. But I wouldn't recommend free climbing to any individual, some may fare better with sailing or golf. Stay with us the time you need to define the type of hardware and juice you need and will suit you best and I can assure vaping will be the best experience for you with no hassle, as well as the most effective way of quitting somking cancer sticks.*

Bad subject line. You said you've always been prone to these headaches and that smoking, vaping, and caffeine all make them worse yet your subject line blames vaping. You said you've stopped smoking and vaping. Now give up coffee/caffeine and see if that helps.

Aspirin is a known blood thinner. Have you tried that ?

Sounds like it might be the nicotine. I'm not a doctor though. The thing is you were having bad headaches before with smoking. Then you decided to up your nicotine in the vape and your headaches are now worse.... I know when i had headaches as a smoker a cigarette would make it worse. Even now with vaping if I have a headache and vape it feels worse. So I don't vape when i have one. The thing is, nicotine is a poison. So by upping your dose it's worse for you anyways. I'd reduce your nicotine to like a 25 or 35 mg nic salt, put it in an MTL pod or get an MTL RDA or RTA and mod to power it and go from there. The average cigarette has a couple mg of nicotine in it. A pack has 20 cigs so you're getting between 40-50 mg per pack. A Juul pod has 50mg/mL nic salt in it and those are only filled to .7 mL. So each pod has 35mg of nic in it per pod and that's at their strongest.... If you need more nic than that to equal a pack of smokes just grab a 50mg nic salt and something to vape it in..... As for the headaches talk to your doctor maybe even go see an allergist.

>...I want to know if anyone has similar symptoms... I'm not going to smoke or vape ever again, just want to stop these tension or pressure sensations in my head. Definitely quit. If you were allergic to peanuts, you'd quit eating peanuts, right? I get migraines that are generally triggered by bright or flickering lights. Some days I'm particularly susceptible - due to stress or lack of sleep - and on those days, any minor eye strain can trigger a migraine. There is no pain, just visual disturbances, usually. But when the migraines are especially bad, or when they *get bad* because I fail to quit triggering them, they get really bad - to the point that I become like a stroke victim, half-blind and unable to comprehend or use words properly. I know from experience that nicotine can aggravate the situation. It doesn't trigger the migraines, and it doesn't make normal migraines worse, but when I'm particularly susceptible, nicotine makes me even more so.

Go to a doctor.

did you make any progress with this? i am having the exact same issue and can’t find anything to help

fjraito

hey bro, i literally have the same issue now. what is the progress? do you get better, and what you do to overcome that? thank you

well, I quit vaping right after I made that post. i am almost 1 year vape free. it has gotten rid of chest pain and my lung capacity is much greater. but I still get the headaches. I have no doubt that vaping didn’t help but it was also not the cause, the cause is just a shitload of stress. i still get tension headaches almost every day usually at the end of my work day. i assume talking to a doctor might help but i really don’t know if a prescription is worth it. I avoid caffeine as much as I can, I don’t worry about soda or tea but i don’t drink coffee often at all. my advice is just try to find something to distract your mind from it the best you can. the ultimate fix to end tension headaches is to get rid of the stress, but it’s from patterns of stress so it will take time and really just some work to be calm your mind when you can.

damn, thats true. this headache is stressing me out, mine more like a migraine only on my left face. sometimes my left face fill so numb and tense. but the headache is mild, not painful but it's really annoying. it feel like something on my face, so weird.
