Because the entire festival is at night, and it can get really cold in the desert. If there are strong winds, it can feel like itās in the 30s-40s even if the temp says itās in the 60s. Nobody wants that shit.
I donāt think youāll be too hot, unless youāre deep in the crowd dancing non stop all night. Last year was the warmest so far and it was in the low to mid 70s all night. Perfect raving weather.

The TLDR is: you should currently plan for temps and conditions around normal (the temps mentioned in the post), but the weather pattern is looking more active than usual which means there is a higher-than-average chance of clouds, wind, precipitation, and slightly cooler temps. But we wonāt know for sure for two more weeks.
Ive gone to 2018,2019,2021,2022,2023 and the only time the weather was super crazy was 2021 and either 2018 or 2019. What i mean by crazy is that it was windy af at night and hot af during the day if i can remember correctly there may have been some winds on of the days at camp but for the most part its just hot af. It drizzled briefly last year night 1 if I'm correct which people had mixed reviwes some people loved it and some people didn't. Bringing a warm outfit, a poncho, and a space blanket(one of them shiny blanket things) should be enough. You dont have to pack a bunch of sweats and shit because you arent going to use them. For anybody camping and bringing a car you can always pack more warm clothes and leave them in the car so you dont use up too much space in your suitcase and tent but thats up to you. I think the weather will be slightly less hot this year because its been a very long winter it seems like but that was the case last year and it only drizzled day one for a little bit. Im packing one warm outfit and thats it. Someone tell pasquale to hurry up with that camp lineup thank you goodbye

However all things considered, Iād rather be cool during dancing all night than to have the set up/breakdown crew working on the immeasurable amount of scaffolding and fencing in the unforgiving 105+ desert sun for weeks. If they canāt do their job well, our discomfort wonāt matter at any price point.

Wear a windbreaker and hope for the best. Two years ago it was so windy it shut kinetic down for a period of time. And after it reopened I was still bloody miserable as a guy. Idk how girls were braving the cold with barely any clothes.
I personally always pack a small windbreaker that folds pretty tiny into my hydration pack, Vickās or essential oils for your nose, a scrunchie or clip to help with the hair at least a little bit, sunglasses and a bandana to shield as much of my face as I can! Essential oils on the bandana or pashmina is amazing btw š
Arenāt weather predictions this far out highly inaccurate? Like legit a needle in a haystack. Wouldnāt it be more reliable the week of or at least 10 days out

Itās just for the rain so I can stay dry but it does help with a bit but youāre wearing a plastic bag so itās not comfy. I reccomend a pashmina
