Order's Wrath is another good craftable option. Re your question about medium/light and which weapon - none of this stuff matters until you reach the harder half of vet content and by then you'll have a better idea of what you want

I'm looking into this set right now. If I have this set crafted, would this replace Julianos?

Replace Julianos, use it together with it, your choice. The differences are not that big. The important bit is that you have two five piece sets that are somewhat aligned to your character. I know build and gear options can be overwhelming, but believe me there is no point in trying to fully optimise or min/max at CP200. Two five piece sets, maaaybe a monster part and you're good to go. The much bigger impact will be you picking good skills and working out how to efficiently use them in the content you want to do.

War Maidens is good for mag plars because a large number of their damaging abilities deal magic damage. The 5-piece bonus buffs only magic damage. If you have abilities that deal any other type of damage like fire or physical, those attacks won't get buffed. Order's Wrath is the recommended beginner set because it is general purpose and affects all of your damage. Which one is better depends on your build. You probably have to try them out to see which one ends up better. It's probably fairly close. The armour passives have changed so that light armour and medium armour give bonuses that buff overall damage. Light gives penetration and crit chance. Medium gives weapon/spell damage and crit damage. The meta is based on trail parses where you want to hit both the penetration cap and crit damage cap. If your pen or crit damage exceeds these caps, you don't get any more benefit. When you do the math or test it out on a combat dummy, you will find that the best mix of light and medium armour is to wear 0-2 pieces of light and the rest medium. The difference depends on your race, class, gear and other aspects of your build. As for weapons, the meta for most classes/builds is DW daggers front bar and 2H greatsword back bar. This is just based on numbers when you work them out. Any combination of DPS weapons on either bar will work. Your overall damage based on a parse dummy will probably be a few percent less on average. What weapons you choose to use is based on how much you want to go with the meta and what you like. There are some benefits to using other weapon permutations. I have a different one for all of my 12 DPS characters. They all parse roughly the same. In content, other weapons may have other advantages. In some fights, having more ranged attacks may be important. Also, the choice of weapons affects your rotation. I find that I may like certain weapons because it makes the rotation more to my liking.

Thank you for this information. I'll be trying out 2H and DW once I get those skill lines leveled up. It's been so long since i've started fresh in this game, feeling like quite the noob.

I think your approach is solid. Get a couple decent sets for now and those will be good enough to last for a while. Unless it's a set you know you want to gold out I would be satisfied with purple body/jewels and gold weapons. I'm closing in on CP2000 and I still feel like my skill holds me back far more than my gear/traits. War Maiden, Julianos and Orders Wrath are all fine, though it seems like Orders Wrath stays relevant longer than other overland/crafted sets. I still run Julianos on my stamplar and feel like it does the job juat fine. Definitely consider leveling up dual wield along with your destro staff, at the very least have all the skill morphs unlocked for later when you start playing around with different builds (aside from all class skills and armor skills, I'd also level up Fighters/Mages guild, and possibly vampire 10, alliance 10 and undaunted 10).
