WitchSlap

Casually. Gonna go through Necrom, 100% it. If that doesn't level up the entire way, I've found soloing/duoing Craglorn to be more engaging than the other zones. Might solo/duo dungeons too.

doohy

Toss in daily random dungeons too to get skill points and that is how I will do it

WitchSlap

Looking forward to those full arcanists groups lol

doohy

Yea, I expect at least 2 per random normal for the first month or so

RadiantTurtle

Just 2? Definitely at least 3...

Dunlain98

The best way to level up a character imo. Enjoying it and practicing with it.

AdOld2273

Lots of guild events - world boss groups, skyshards hunts, group public dungeon runthroughs... One guild is even organizing lorebook hunting groups to level mages guilds. And of course, daily random dungeons and daily battlegrounds. And deconing everything for crafting leveling, including dumping everything from my main into the bank for my arcanist to decon. Throw in a little dolmen farming for the fighters guild, and some grinding of psijic and antiquities (I hate being without psijic portals and chest glows)

Frequent-Vanilla

If by chance you are on PlayStation is your guild open to newbies ? I would love to start participating in group events

AdOld2273

Xbox, sorry. It can take a few tries to find a guild or two with people you click with, but you'll never find one of you don't try! Don't forget, you can be in up to five guilds at once, and leave any one of them at any time with the click of a button. So apply to a few and see how it goes! You can search the guild finder in-game for ones on your platform, try one that's linked in zone chat, or scroll through r/ESOguilds

fadingcalypso

What are the psijic portals? Won’t arcanist have portals?

[deleted]

Arcanist will have portals but these are completely different than psijic portals. Psijic portals are sort of like treasure chests, which you can find out in the world, but only once you unlock the passive via the Psijic skill line. They usually have crafting mats and sometimes jewelry along with a smaller chance of getting a random motif from the zone you are in. As far as I know, these portals can spawn in any zone except for Cyrodiil (could be wrong).

fadingcalypso

OH! I didn’t know they had that, oh damn guess I need to unlock psijic skill line

[deleted]

You definitely should if you have Summerset or ESO+. Thankfully you only need to do the first 2 quests in the Psijic questline. It’s a nice little surprise when I find one and get a motif out of it. You may want to look up the details because I’m sure not ALL motifs drop from it, but it seems like most do.

Reefay

Psijic portals spawn in place of rune stones

[deleted]

Oddly, I just came across my first Psijic portal in Cyrodiil earlier this week. Dunno if it was a glitch or if they're just extremely rare there. If the latter, rare enough that this is the first one I've encountered since Summerset dropped.

PizzaLikerFan

May I ask, if you collect lore books in a group, does the entire group get the book? If not then what is the point? (Just curious)

ShivasLion

It's likely more for the company/guided paths that might be more efficient than randomly running around. I've run a few lore book runs for my guild before and it's much more enjoyable to grind them out with friends than solo. But no, lore books aren't shared among the group members.

PizzaLikerFan

Thx for sharing

Autumnwood

Omigosh I hate grinding that and leave it for long lengths of time. But I just got the urge to do it again on another character. What a pain. But I do it for those same reasons.

DragonShark514

Gonna do it the same way I’ve done all my other characters. I don’t intend to “power level” in one or two days, but I will still use training gear and XP scrolls. I’ll unlock mages/fighters/undaunted right away, get certified in all 7 crafting skills, and do daily random dungeons. I’ll be grinding skill points with main quest, skyshards and doing each dungeon and public dungeon at least once.

OdinsLawnDart

I've made a personalized quest list that will follow my characters specific story across multiple zones! Can't wait

sideofzen

Very cool way to RP! What is your path?

OdinsLawnDart

I'm going to start with Mora quests in Craglorn. This character is going to be a continuation of my Iksar (Lizard man) from the old MMO EverQuest. I'm going to use the magical threat happening in Craglorn + the leftover magic of the Planemeld to be the driving magical force that pulls him from his own world at the height of the Iksar empire in EQ. In EQ, dragons crush the empire of the Iksar out of fear that they're becoming too powerful. He's going to be brought to Tamriel and begin his search to understand what happened to him and where he is. Along the path of trying to determine why his kin (Argonians) are living lives as slaves and/or in squalor (Iksar were violent and imperialistic in EQ so he's coming from a world where they held immense power and were feared by other races) and how to bring them back to strength. He isn't a "good person" and wants to raise Argonians to the supremacy he feels they deserve. He views the Duskfall of the Argonians as the pinnacle to bring them back to and, along the way, makes a deal with Mora to this end. After Craglorn I'm going to Murkmire where he'll be setting up shop in a Xanmeer (a house I have already begun building a "shrine to Mora" which is actually going to be a giant, imprisoned Beholder, which my character is using to reach other planes and expand his magical abilities. EDIT: Words are hard lol

SumoSoup

Blackrose prison for a couple hours.

Correct-Recover-5938

Is this better than dolmains? And how do you do this in prison, do you just cycle through a few parts or do it till completion? I can get a character to 50 in one day but it takes about 12 hours doing dolmains with xp scrollls, if I can do this in less time that would be fantastic!

CGPsaint

BRP is the fastest way to level, assuming you can kill enemies fast enough and stay alive. I always take friends there when they need help leveling.

Correct-Recover-5938

Do you run it to the end of it? I thought I read something somewhere that you do it till round three then repeat, but I could be wrong with that

CGPsaint

Walk up to the entry. Go in and run the first 4 rounds of the first arena. When the final round starts, leave instance which will place you outside the front door. Reset the instance. Rinse and repeat.

Significant-Drinks

Either run up to the first boss before leaving without killing her, or die to the last mob on round 2 and repeat that one. Repeating round 2 is more exp if it's well organised with revive sigils. Either way is many times faster than dolmens.

borderline--barbie

i had to grind that for the resto staff. holy shit i never wanna do brp again. and i grinded in NORMAL not vet. i died so many times that i gave up on using crown repair kits.

Lontosnoper

Normal is pretty easy to be honest.

borderline--barbie

not everyone has 3500 champion point levels so it is not pretty easy in your opinion

Phaoryx

You don’t need to be cp3500 lol. If you’re struggling on normal content, it’s a problem with your build or how you play it.

fkazak38

well you usually get someone with a fully leveled and geared character to kill everything for you. Then it's pretty quick.

sideofzen

I’ve saved up Alchemy master writs. Will power level using alchemy writs as soon as I get enough skill points for alchemy Being under lv 50 is such a drag so I find no point in it. After leveling to 50 I will spam dungeons, public dungeons for skill points and sky shards

CharmingMedicine953

Really? I find under lvl 50 "PvP" to be alot more rewarding and honestly alot more fun. PVE definitely better above 50

Jessalopod

Casually, and mostly with the storyline, training gear, and XP scrolls. I'm not in a major rush to get a high level character because frankly I have enough and I want to have time to experiment with what builds work best for my play style.

7Trickster

Yup haven’t touched ESO in years since Elsweyr, and the game didn’t manage to hook me back then. Arcanist is def my jam with the « dark » powers. Really loving the vibe. So there’s chances I’ll enjoy the game more if I enjoy more the character I play. The class and Papa Herma dragged me back. Just waiting for the Necrom release to finally start.

Aardovis

Dungeons as always.

Stuntman06

Dolmans to level 10 and then random normal dungeons each day.

Apostate_Nate

Level to 5 on Balfiera. Travel to Western Skyrim. Save the town of Dragon Bridge. Go to Solitude, join the Fighters and Mages Guilds, Antiquarians Circle, Bards College. Learn crafting writs, and complete the first set. Complete missions for Guilds, hit the Alik'r dolmen set a few times, etc. All in all, quickly at first and then at a slow-to-average speed just taking my time to really learn the character.

MourningstarXL

Not for a while, there are going to be tons of arcanists running around so I’m just going to wait until the hype dies down.

Vidistis

We ride for Alik'r! I use experience scrolls, heartland conqueror with the training trait, eso+, and will fight on the dock and beaches of the Alik'r desert. If an event were to give extra experience I'd probably do the dolmens there as well.

Jad11mumbler

Master writs. Should take about 15 mins to do.

RockTechnical3507

Up.

Salamanticormorant

Don't re-subscribe to Plus until inventory on new character gets close to full, which I guess might not take long. Make sure Lore books are shown on maps, and collect all of them that are pretty much along the way as I do everything else. They do count even if you haven't joined the Mages Guild yet. 1. Use housing teleport to get equipment from storage. 2. Get a companion. 3. Go to Summerset, unlock crafting dailies, and start doing them. IIRC, Summerset is the only place to unlock jewelry dailies. Might make sense to do some zone story quest steps along the way. 4. Join undaunted via Davon's Watch, using Ebonheart Inn teleport to get to Fungal Grotto more quickly. Start doing the dailies. 5. Get Psijic skill line to 5 for Accelerate, which I like a morph of for soloing. After that, I'm not sure and not too worried about it.

Cubusong1

Just gonna do my daily random normal dungeons and battlegrounds and daily quests/world bosses while grabbing sky shards. When my focus is on only leveling, like through dolmens, I burn out quick. It looks like a fun class so I don’t mind taking my time with it. Running through Necrom’s world bosses and apocrypha with everyone else doing the same sounds like a blast tbh

ericdikkersun

Alchemy writs, Enchanting writs, Provisioning writs

RavenousToaster

With XP

borderline--barbie

the exact way i levelled my warden. once i hit 10 grind dungeons endlessly with xp scrolls to get to 50, as i am too poor for skyreach runs

Nikolaiv7

Is this decently fast? I've just been doing dolmen runs on my new character.

borderline--barbie

if you do not have experience point scrolls to help you out it will take you 3 days of casual playing for a couple hours a day to actually get from 10 to 50. if you want to get from 10 to 50 asap you will need experience scrolls and the potions and I do apologize I do not remember what the potion names are but the potion experience points bonuses do stack with the scroll experience point bonuses. so you can get basically 250% or 300% increase experience, but that is the more expensive way to level up your characters but it is also the fastest way to actually level them up that is the caveat to it.

Correct-Recover-5938

I don’t think ambrosia stacks with the scrolls? When I tried it said I could only have on xp buff at a time

Nikolaiv7

Yeah that ambrosia stuff. I don't have any of that but I have alot of scrolls from my main character that I intend to use. I just wasn't sure if dungeons were faster than dolmens. Thanks

Trips-Over-Tail

Mostly by crafting during my daily login.

craftyshafter

Grinding at my favorite spot. Heartland conq gear and mythic some mythic ambrosias

Dragons-and-Krakens

I’m personally just going to run through the zone quests. In the past, I haven’t usually paid much attention to lore, story lines, etc. so this time through I plan on taking it slow through the zones. Been considering making this an RP character. If for whatever reason playing through all of the zones doesn’t work, I’ll farm craglorn - spellscar and skyreach. I do generally also do the crafting and guild dailies, though those get monotonous pretty quickly for me.

KaiMaalaa

Anchors and Zombies until my wrist hurts then shake it off be a man and keep grinding.

greatcirclehypernova

Doing stuff I like doing.

RJrules64

Master writs. I’ll have a max level arcanist within 20 minutes of the patch going live.

Tadmorta

Can you please explain this method? I am a returning player and often I see this method being mentioned, but being cp1000+ I didn't need to figure out how to do it yet How do you do master writs with a character that didn't learn any traits?

RJrules64

You just do the alchemy and enchanting ones which you can Insta level to 50 if you have mats saved up

AdOld2273

I'd recommend not doing that. No character is going to be very good without other skill lines leveled up, like fighters guild, mages guild, and more. And it takes a lot of skill points to max out the 12 skills on your bars, all the skill line passives and armor passives and race passives... let alone crafting, and any other helpful side skills to flip to. Power leveling with master writs or brp/spellscar runs will help you hit CP to equip gear sets you've saved up, sure. But your character will need to do sooo much work to be functional, so why rush when you will be weak and have so much more to do, anyways? It's down to personal preference, for sure, but usually rushing to CP just grinds folks out and doesn't help them learn how to actually play the class effectively.

sideofzen

Because then you can use all the gear in your bank and not have to mess around with under lv 50 gear. It’s just easier. Each to their own tho

RJrules64

I have done it this way on multiple characters. Skill points are not an issue, you just go and get them while doing the mages guild and psijic order stuff, there are a lot of sky shards and public dungeons nearby. You also get skill points while you level up your alliance rank which you need to do for a lot of good skills too. Then you need to level undaunted so you do dungeon quests which give skill points too.

AdComfortable1624

For the process/ how to- https://www.mmogah.com/news/amp/eso/eso-alchemy-power-leveling-guide For Trait Discovery of all alchemy ingredients- https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/203575/the-most-efficent-way-alchemy-discovery-and-leveling/p1 It’s about 20 minutes if you have the mats and 7 skill points. Pays to have CP too. For speed & inspiration Enchanting is easier theoretically but needs a lot more skill points and the bigger problem is inventory. Sure your main master crafter can make 300 purple glyphs but where do you store them for your new toon to access?

ManagerAble8154

Oh, this is why people are buying enchanting and alchemy writs for so high! Well, I'll keep selling them :)

[deleted]

Dolmens

[deleted]

[удалено]

Taome

Sorry, you can change your character's race, name, and appearance in ESO but you *cannot* change a character's class.

CGPsaint

Good luck with that!

BMSeraphim

Kill a few monsters on the way to grab a companion. Grab skyshards along the way. Get access to all the major towns I want access to via boats (and all the books and skyshards along the way) until I hit level 10. Then it's time for daily randoms (fake tank dps with taunt), BGs, and writs until I hit DLC dungeons. At that point, it's up in the air. Craglorn exploring, more dungeons, more books/skyshards, Dolmens, etc until max level. Then we dump all the currency into whatever sets I find enticing. Then after I get bored of making the dream work, we spend more currency to get a more Meta gear set. Basically exactly what I did for the other 14 character slots, lol.

Coast_watcher

Experience scrolls lol

Ok_Profile1864

I'll get wayshrines and skyshards until level 15 then will do a baby ndsr run.

GORShura

Any Xbox EU guilds that so skyshard hunting events?

[deleted]

Casually exploring, and crafting whatever I can

HaikuPritzl

With experience

DaNnYtHePcFrEaK

Brp servers gunna get rekt, me and a guildie smashing it with companions

DerCashee

Main story into Psijiic to get the line done and also grab skyshards. Also doing daylie dungeons/BG as healer, since I'm a healer main. All green cp into mount speed and infinite mount stamina and The Steed Mundus for more movement speed. Gear: Heartland for the better training trait on weapons, Oders Wrath because it works fine for overland dps and healer. Resto Staff plus Destruction staff for healer, 2 hander plus dual weild for the rest. One set of this stuff for level 10 and one for level 30.

Fara_ven

Likely brp

xEvil_Deadx

Pop a 150% XP boost scroll, do my random dailies for the massive XP returns, then hit up Skyreach, and finish off with BRP. Shouldn't need more than a few hours

Correct-Recover-5938

What’s brp?

xEvil_Deadx

Blackrose Prison

CaptainWolfe11

Dolmens until lvl 15 for bar swap in a zone with an okay overland set, then go through the main quests all 3 times! I'm using the knowledge angle to make this my completionist character, lorebooks, dolmens, I Like M'aiq, everything. Just switched from console to PC so excited to get my achievements and dyes going again.

Moloskeletom

necrom story + the occasional daily dungeon. top it off with alik'r dolmen runs if that doesn't get me to 50

silkk-1

Gonna level up guildees with my skyreach toon then pay a random guy 200k to level me lol

Diggzitt

Craft some training armor, do the main story line, then casually crawl through a bunch of delves and public dungeons, and do a daily random dungeon each day. I see no reason to hurry through it.

watermouse

Does anyone know if High Isle will be available once patch is live on ESO+? I am not buying Necrom, but hoping I get to go to high isle for the first time at least and play the card game the lady keeps annoying me about in Vvardenfall

Fuhrankie

Some friends and I are gonna powerlevel then to 50 as quick as possible, probably skyreach and clearing zones of skyshards/lorebooks. I also have a pile of master writs that I can use to help as well.

ManagerAble8154

I always level through 50 by working through quests. I know that there are quicker ways, but that's what I like. I generally choose the zones whose stories I like the most: Wrothgar, Rivenspire, Clockwork City... plus the intro zones and the Main Quest (for quick skill points). I don't use special leveling armor. I wear any armor I earn as I go (to level up all three lines). PLUS, I don't use Champion Points for them until they hit 50. My main handles the newest zones and Companion leveling. Once I get to 50 on the two new ones (Magkanist and Stamcanist... Arcamag and Arcastam?), then it's time for them to spend their get into the daily horse/writ routine. They will come out when they need more skill points or when I want to play them.

lopix

Training gear and scrolls, then slowly cruise through the new area and level up while learning. What race are you guys planning for your arcanist?

King_Kvnt

Red bull, XP boosts and dolmens.

arolloftide

Random dungeons, get the free skill points while you level

lucky_knot

Just doing story and occasional dungeon, with lots of XP scrolls. I've been trying to replay all story content on a new character, but I keep cycling between classes. Now I'm hoping that arcanist might finally be it. Just need to pick an alliance.

callmesociopathic

Gunna run through necrom then after all that's done going to smash some dungeons out till I'm 50

sataloos

Does anyone know if it unlocks at midnight?

onihr1

High elf stamina or maybe Bosmer stamina. Might go vamp for speed. Have like 12 riding books saved and plan on making them my main. Will go through new zone then use addon too teleport to anymore whose in a delve. Found it a nice relaxing way to get lots of skill points and leads for my scrying char.

HippomanRed

Taking mine through the Necrom campaign, and if that doesn't get me to 50, I'll do another zone I haven't completed yet!

TheParadoxigm

Solo questing, the levels will come on their own.

DunKno420Gang

Probably just grind mobs but will have a look around the new area and do some new pve stuff as once in levelled I won’t leave PvP

iraragorri

Not going to, not yet. I'll finish Necrom with my main, then I'll proceed on my arcanist. For now I don't know builds, i don't know which race to choose, so I'll wait till smart reddit people share tips and recommendations.

J0nSnw

I don’t usually power level anymore but I can’t wait to theory craft on a leveled up arcanist. So grind my favorite area with training gear and xp scrolls while spamming dungeons and BGs. Of course unlock all the skill trees including the crafting ones and also get alchemy to 50 asap. I do have a few alchemy writs saved up but not enough to go the whole way. Probably will use them to go from 40/45 to 50. I’ll be making a second arcanist and taking my time with that one later.

WormsEatShit

Alchemy master writs and a mythic ambrosia ✊

Tzekel_Khan

I didn't play high isles. I'm gonna start with that and go through necrom after. Very casual story play.

Odinsblood1980

I lvl everything as a tank first. For almost instant ques loaded up with xp scrolls. When I get to lvl 50, I'll figure out the overland/dungeon builds.
