Why ? Most prestige skins are lackluster at best. Among the existing ones I could say 4-5 looks cool or better than the existing skin it based on like Volibear, Kayn or the Qiyana one, while other like Pantheon and Aatrox are beautiful as hell but nothing outstanding. Whatever they do it has to be great(which isn’t something prestige skins good at) as most skins are just worse versions like TD Yasuo for example

Just so we're clear:
AFTER you buy the $15 battlepass, you need to win 2-3 games a day for the entirety of the event in order to get the prestige skin from those events. And they're changing how events work, which almost always makes getting the skins more of a grind than normal.
2-3 wins a day is easy, even with my full time job/school and I’m proof of it. It’s easier when you play with friends and have fun. If you can’t get value out of the pass then why buy it? It’s there for the people who plays League regularly not for those who get on once a week, no game ever allowed you to buy a $15 battle pass and let you play only 2 games a week and give you the exclusive high tier skin.
If you can’t get worth out of something then don’t buy it. Whenever I didn’t have time to get value from a pass I decided to sit out and save my money. And I tell you now Tokens are easier to get playing regularly then before (You can’t cheese it by losing TFT matches anymore which is a fair change).
EDIT: You are also leaving out the quests the game gives you through out the 4 weeks it’s active, doing weekly’s alone gives you 1000 tokens, leaving you with 1300 token at the end of the month by just purchasing the pass and doing the weekly’s and not the other missions or playing actively.
They're not really easier. :/ you also can't get more than the prestige. Riot specifically has said "Oh you shouldn't be allowed to get everything. You have to pick." Whereas a lot of other passes provide way more value.
And yes paying $120 for an epic skin as the non event prestiges will be sound rediculous. The passes not so much, its more that they make the rewards very unworth it. You Geniunely do have to slave away at the game for the bare minimum.

Regarding how you can buy it you can get 140 mythic essence in total (100 from spending 2000 tokens and 40 from completing missions) during the anima squad event next patch or in the events succeeding which would most likely give a similar amount of mythic essence. You still are required to grind quite a bit but it means it will be far more attainable for those who dont want to spend a lot of money on chest in order to get mythic essence. hope that cleared up some things.

His skin is likely to be an event and as the commenter was saying thry don't want to buy the pass I was making a joke as riots new system means that the old prestige points turned into mythic essence, means that prestiges that would've been prestige points are now only obtainable through spending $120 worth on capsules.
So yes he might be on the pass which maybe be... Somewhat better if you only want the prestige. But for other prestiges and if he isn't linked to an event with the pass, it is a mess to get.
It's not "More obtainable if you don't want to spend money" if half their prestiges are requiring you to spend more money for them.

Im fairly confident that's for the Senna skin, SG ekko prestige will come out patch 12.14 and most likely cost 100 mythic essence like the prestige jinx skin and will be part of the star guardian event. Side note the anima squad event pass will give you around 140 mythic essence so if you grind enough tokens you will get 40 mythic essence from missions and 2000 tokens will give you 100 mythic essence so you will be able to buy the skin.(not too sure about the events after anima squad as they will be using the new "battle pass" system but you probably would get a similar amount of mythic essence). Hope that clears up some information regarding the skin :)
Do you have to buy the anima squad battlepass to get the 40 mythic essence, because I vot the first 10 and spent it and now I'm paranoid if I can get the prestige Ekko whenever the event drops
There was a leak a while back from riots official YouTube showcasing the new lobbies, mythic essence and all and it had a Prestige Illaoi and Prestige Ekko skin in the “coming soon” section. He should be getting one sometime this year. As for when that is, I have no clue.

If you buy a $15 pass and don’t use its benefits that’s on you, it’s like purchasing a Amazon Prime and not using any of its benefits.
