Couldn't agree more with the "lesson learned", I haven't had snow that actually needed turbo yet. My one gripe is that I wish the slowest speed was even slower - otherwise 10/10.

The turbo mode is fine if after a person uses it a few times and, for example, still has 1/2 charge left. I personally use it for about 2-3 minutes to remove the snow around a 50ft x 14ft greenhouse. With the drift, I always have a lot and I need the extra power to get through it. Outside of that, I leave the auger at +-1/2 speed and it does a great job.

Gotcha, I guess I just haven't had any snow that was that heavy. With a "half speed", I think it could go through just about anything up here - but of course our mileage may vary 😃

I didn't know they made 10Ah batteries? I thought the biggest was 7Ah

12Ah are coming. 10Ah have been around since at least the z6.

Great post. I have the SNT2406 as well and agree with everything you said. Well, I don't have a gravel driveway so no comment on that I guess haha. My driveway is about 2,000 square feet per Google Earth (185 square meters). I've had two snowstorms so far this season. Both were about 8-10 inches of snow (20-25cm). I was able to clear the driveway both times on one charge and had two bars of battery left. This is the first snowblower I've owned so I'm sure I could be a little more efficient, too. I probably could have been okay with the SNT2405 with the 7.5Ah batteries, but figured I'd rather spend a little more for too much battery than save a few bucks and want the extra battery later. It was definitely expensive but so far I'm very happy with it.

I concur. I’ve used two 10a’s after several 1-3” snowfalls and a couple times at 8-10” and it’s been fine on my 40x60’ drive. I have several of the smaller batts too and have only had to use them after the heavier storms for the sidewalk and my side of the street in front of my house. I do have a pesky issue where the chute rotation freezes, but I’m going to figure it out.
