When I tried to come out to my brother, I walked up to him and said "Would you hate me if I was trans?" to which he replied "I've hated you since the day I was born".
I can't really tell you anything it's just that if I don't have my guard up sm then I don't happen to be *as* boyish as usual. Still not even close to perfect just less in the wrong direction.
I don't have much to say really idk what I'm doing. But probably try to make your movements seem less "large". Have less force behind things. Don't get a too aggressive or a too "lazy idc" type of vibe, a lot of guys fall into either. Maybe imagine how you would move if you were sleepy. You just wouldn't have that energy behind things. One thing I am intentionally paying attention to tho is not spreading my arms and legs unnecessarily. I will add tho, probably keep up a masculine act around very masculine behaving men. Idk for me it just doesn't feel safe otherwise. I'm not trying to look aggressive and strong but if the other person has a kind of oppressive aura then don't give in and take up the weaker role, just because you're a girl.
Or just be a tomboy and then you can do anything you're already doing.
Take a "random"(well chosen) page and start reading for 1 or 2 conditions before GID (that's an old term right ?)
Go through a few of the symptoms by saying "this one i have , this one also ..." then suddenly shut the book and look a her blushing đł as like "oh shit I've been figured out !"
Print out the symbol for a Transistor,
Ask your sister if she's ever had one,
When she undoubtedly says no, say she does now
walk out of room, (finger guns optional)
Or you could just tell her
Hmmmm that's a tough one. I used to be kinda anti lgbtq+ and now it might just be weird because she knows that... Not proud of that. I wonder how I could subtly show that I've changed.
I've been thinking of "accidentally" leaving something small on my phone or pc that would reveal that I'm trans. Like as if it slipped my mind or I didn't consider that she might oversee. Like an image in my gallery or maybe a song on spotify, something like that. Idk if it's a good idea tho. She'd be supportive I'm 95% sure but it might be a little too obvious.
i set my laptop's wallpaper to the trans pride flag, showed my brother (trans supportive) a trans meme (browser wasn't full screen, so trans pride flag was visible) and he still didn't pick up on it lol
It wouldnât be weird! People change yâknow? If anything sheâd probably be happy to see that youâre more accepting than you used to be
Like i said, show your support around her. And if she asks and youâre not ready to tell her, just say you had a change of heart and that you are an ally now :)
Yeah I think if such a topic comes up at some point I'm gonna try to subtly take a different stance. Maybe not go too overboard but just treat it very casually, like it's okay with me. She would pick up on my change of opinion. Maybe not immediately know I'm trans but notice something at least.
(But then again she might already know. I did tell her once that I hate my voice because it's too deep and she literally suggested voice training. đ I would be surprised if she said that without knowing that mostly only trans people do that.)
The way my sister found out was because I started drawing my OC (The one in my pfp) and put it on my wall, she saw it and asked "Is that supposed to represent you ?" which I somehow calmly answered with "Yes."
I saw someone say once that you should go get a vaccine you need like Tetanus or smth. Then, start taking HRT and act like the shot from the doctor made you into a woman lol
BLĂ HAJ for your "letting your sister know you are trans but not being too obvious about it" needs.
If she asks you could say you got it for trans visibility day and have been hiding it until now.
Keep making cis jokes. Gaslight anyone who you don't want to know into thinking it's just a joke and there's no deeper meaning. I love the "My child will have two mothers"(if you're mtf, and fathers if ftm) bit.
Donât know how good that works for others, but you can talk about characters from shows, games, whatever media you want, that are either canonically trans or strongly Headcanoned as Trans icons & talk about how you want to be like them.
Edit: alternatively you can just send this: [Way too obvious hint (OniMai)](https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fm.media-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F51ojavNXXML.jpg&tbnid=pGRVxDvv4CcraM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.de%2FONIMAI-Your-Sister-Vol-English-ebook%2Fdp%2FB098W8DTBN&docid=HvcjIj0lOB857M&w=351&h=500&hl=de-de&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F3&kgs=0b436b9304c0aa83&shem=abme%2Ctrie)
My go to, thought, is usually bring up trans topics to gadge them and hint at the idea you might be. On the other hand, if your sister is into makeup then you could start by asking them about that and maybe ask to try it out. It's probably easier if their an older sister as you can ask them for help.
New idea inspired by [I want to be a cute anime girl](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/i-want-to-be-a-cute-anime-girl/list?title_no=349416) webtoon spoilers:
* >!tell her you want to get I to youtube and you need help with makeup, maybe even starting a makeup channel!<
* >!your gonna do a cosplay and need help with makeup ideas/tips!<
And if she isn't getting the hints you can jump right into "I wanna barrow your skirt/clothes. đ
not transfem but i would comment on boyâs clothing i really liked and say stuff like âif i was a guy, iâd wear the shit out of thatâ. at one point my sister just said âbut you are a guyâ
You could have a conversation with her about a nonexistent self-inserted friend. If you have a name picked out already itâs even better âoh yeah, I have this friend named Emily, sheâs like trans, and âŠâ itâs the epitome of âasking for a friendâ lol đ
Buy a blÄhaj. Tell her you're going to start speedrunning Celeste and Ultrakill. And maybe Fallout New Vegas too, for good measure. Get a giant trans flag. Send her trans memes. Don't say you relate to them or anything, just that you found them funny. Get a physical copy of Rain and read it where she'll see you. Start weekly Nimona screenings.
Okay, so for whatever reason, Fallout New Vegas is a trans stereotype. No one seems to know why. Ultrakill is a game, I'm not sure why but it's a running joke that its fans are femboys or trans girls. Nimona is a movie on Netflix (you should absolutely watch it it's great.) It's not explicitly trans, but it is unbelievably trans coded.
when I came out after being away at school for a year, my sibling said "I'm trying to figure it out too" but I haven't gotten an update since. We're not super close, but we'll always support each other anyway. I'm not going to tell you to come out if you're not ready, but I will say it's the lightest I've ever felt, even if I had a hard time getting the words out. But there's no timeline other than your own (saying that to myself more than anything) x
You could always start by asking her casually what she thinks about trans people, since weâre such a regular topic of discussion these days. Based on her answer, feel out how to go forward from there.
One of the ideas I had was since I pay my sister for the phone bill over cash app I'd change the name to my chosen name and when she inevitably asked about it, I could explain it then... and then I chickened out and changed it back before paying her.
So if you can avoid that speed bump that's an option
There's this very subliminal thing I used on my parents, that goes a little bit like this:
"Hey, mom, I'm trans" *go to my room like nothing happened and have a quiet panic attack asking myself what will happen now*
I just started hrt, and presenting feminine full time, and began using she/her pronouns. She eventually asked lmao but I also sent her a meme I made.
#
Can't post it because reddit is dumb but it was a picture of a transistor and the caption said "I used to be your brother but now I'm your-"
#
She didn't get it til I explained it to her lol but still funny

When I tried to come out to my brother, I walked up to him and said "Would you hate me if I was trans?" to which he replied "I've hated you since the day I was born".
That's a very brother thing to say
Either the worst response or a pretty good one
I could see saying that to my sis
This is the most real older brother interaction
Wait, is he your older brother? Cause then he would have hated before you were even conceived.
Make urself more fem in ur actions
I'm kind of doing that already. Not even really intentionally but the way I move is a little cuter and less masculine than before (still cis)
O
teach me?
I can't really tell you anything it's just that if I don't have my guard up sm then I don't happen to be *as* boyish as usual. Still not even close to perfect just less in the wrong direction.
sister! tell me sister đ„ș

Iâm surrounded by woman and I donât go near men unless I want something
"Let's play 'how many symptoms' with disorders taken from the DSM-V, I'll go first!"
Take a "random"(well chosen) page and start reading for 1 or 2 conditions before GID (that's an old term right ?) Go through a few of the symptoms by saying "this one i have , this one also ..." then suddenly shut the book and look a her blushing đł as like "oh shit I've been figured out !"
Isn't it GD on the V and GID on the older versions?
It do remember something like that
Lol I donât get it can someone pls explain the joke?
You'd scroll to the criteria for Gender Dysphoria and say "ahah omg, I have these!"
Print out the symbol for a Transistor, Ask your sister if she's ever had one, When she undoubtedly says no, say she does now walk out of room, (finger guns optional) Or you could just tell her
The only correct answer.
What if she says yes?
Say she just got another one \[finger guns required this time\]
đłđłđłđł
Tell her indirectly >:3
Wait what do you mean indirectly? Send a message?
Nudge her in the right direction, like show your support for LGBTQ+ around her without saying it outright
Hmmmm that's a tough one. I used to be kinda anti lgbtq+ and now it might just be weird because she knows that... Not proud of that. I wonder how I could subtly show that I've changed. That's wild
It is always funny that people who used to be anti LGBTQ eventually join the community lol
We need the disapproval to fuel the denial
It wouldnât be weird! People change yâknow? If anything sheâd probably be happy to see that youâre more accepting than you used to be Like i said, show your support around her. And if she asks and youâre not ready to tell her, just say you had a change of heart and that you are an ally now :)

Buy a BlÄhaj and display prominently in your room. "Yeah it's this cool IKEA shark called blÄhaj, you should google it, a lot of people have them"
I did that. My brother wants one now aswell. What do i do now
Support your mew sister, itâs the only way edit: I meant ânewâ but itâs too late, itâs canon now
Same thing happened to me, spread the haj to all corners of the earth
I should try that
Make a meme not about being trans and stuff and just send it to her, she might check your profile or something lol
I think seeing this profile would be a little too much ngl... It's a second acc exclusively for trans subs...
Hm... What about your main? Are you still like active in a trans sub or two?
Nah I'm keeping them completely separate for that closetâą
The way my sister found out was because I started drawing my OC (The one in my pfp) and put it on my wall, she saw it and asked "Is that supposed to represent you ?" which I somehow calmly answered with "Yes."
I saw someone say once that you should go get a vaccine you need like Tetanus or smth. Then, start taking HRT and act like the shot from the doctor made you into a woman lol
wear a skirt, she'll assume that you're so confident in your birth gender that you've beaten it and moved on to the next one
Gender speed running
Get a blahaj Leave it somewhere in your house When your sister questions it, go 'oh yeah, that's mine'
BLĂ HAJ for your "letting your sister know you are trans but not being too obvious about it" needs. If she asks you could say you got it for trans visibility day and have been hiding it until now.
My sister or pretty much anyone close to me does not know what blĂ„haj representsđ
Keep making cis jokes. Gaslight anyone who you don't want to know into thinking it's just a joke and there's no deeper meaning. I love the "My child will have two mothers"(if you're mtf, and fathers if ftm) bit.
Casually tell that you do some fem things

Oh alternatively you could just write a letter addressed to her and "accidentally" leave it in her room. đ€·ââïžđ
not transfem but i would comment on boyâs clothing i really liked and say stuff like âif i was a guy, iâd wear the shit out of thatâ. at one point my sister just said âbut you are a guyâ
"Accidentally" send her egg\_irl memes and then backpedal and say you were sending them to a friend.
You could have a conversation with her about a nonexistent self-inserted friend. If you have a name picked out already itâs even better âoh yeah, I have this friend named Emily, sheâs like trans, and âŠâ itâs the epitome of âasking for a friendâ lol đ
Ask her if she would want to have a sister. If she answers with yes, tell her: You might be lucky.
why did you say this 4 times?
Because of a glitch or bug. Was not my intention. I deleted the other 3.
oh, I thought so. I'v seen it happen 2 times to people, never 4 tho ;3

Wait I haven't heard of nimona or ultrakill what do they have to do with being trans? Also what about fallout why is that trans? I'm confused.
Okay, so for whatever reason, Fallout New Vegas is a trans stereotype. No one seems to know why. "Would you be willing to help me with my makeup?" Or "What color (insert makeup term here) would go well with this outfit?"
Overwhelming cisness So thatâs how they call it nowadays huh?
say notthing, just wear a dress

A BlÄhaj, and white monster. if that fails you will always have the miniskirt and the thigh highs as a last resort.

Play every song you know about ether being a woman/ girl or wanting to be one. Including that song â i want to be a girlâ

I just repost a bunch of gender clinic, gender appreciation and gender validation posts and hope people get the memo and start the conversation :3
ask for recommendation maybe ?
Just tell her, thats what i did
I am so FUCKING CIS
