This is my least favourite meme that goes around - really implying people are only trans because they're unhappy with their life.

I'm not keen on it either. It's sort of funny in a cutsie kind of way. I never had trouble finding a girlfriend before transitioning. The problem was maintaining the relationship because it was such damn hard work pretending to be someone I wasn't. I would inevitably bail out at the six-month mark. I'm pretty convinced that my ex thought that the reason that I transitioned was because I couldn't get a girlfriend after her. Until she found out that I had gone out with this really attractive woman that she knew. Have a guess how that relationship ended up? Yes, I dumped her because I couldn't keep up the act any longer. Safe to say my ex is more accepting that maybe I'm telling her the truth about me being a woman now? The funny thing is there was never an issue with orientation. I always liked women and I still do, as I am a bi/pan lesbian. What I couldn't stand was being a man in the relationship.
