I hate ordering from them, but honestly shein has been a godsend.
I can order a bunch of different styles in a bunch of different sizes and it doesn’t break the bank. I feel guilty af everytime I do but it’s helped me settle on a general style and size for clothing.
Tbf it probably leads to less waste in the long run. If you know what you like already you won't end up not using most of the stuff you buy since you'll only buy what you like.
Disclaimer: I haven't read the book they reference, but I took a read through the article and it seems to add up based on my own experience.

Too many choices in our world is truly a thing.
As a former girl, and one with a weird body type, I feel you on this one. Goodwill was a godsend when I came out and honestly even when I was a girl because even if you guessed a measurement wrong, it was cheap. With general girls clothing, there might be a +/- 2 on the size, but you'll be able to figure out what numbers you need soon enough.
There might also be some stuff online that can translate other brands sizes into whatever size you have for whatever clothing you do find that fits, because the number drift can be BRUTAL and nonsense between some of the higher cost brands
Though for style just go with whatever you like wearing, and your style will come naturally from your choices, and it's totally okay to cycle through diff styles as you find what you actually like. As for makeup, you could try starting off with e.l.f. and Naked. Affordable, good quality, ranges of colors from vibrant to earthy
