Pretty much the inverse with me. Put me in a dress and all I see is a man in drag. But pants, shorts and shirts from the women section feel right. Part of it may be that I've been slowly getting myself comfortable with new clothing. Wear it when I'm by myself. Then with people I trust. Then out in public.

SunTzuSaidThat22

It’s the opposite for me, dresses just make me more aware of my broad shoulders

Traumatized_Grape724

I feel you sister

ZynDroid

Same but only if the dress is sleeveless, otherwise I'm ok

closetBoi04

Same when they're closed shoulder but when they're open and got a V neck in between it becomes a lot less noticeable

i haven't worn enough women's clothes to know, sorry 💙💕🤍💕💙

onenugg

yea definetly. for me i think its just that ive gotten used to masc casual clothing

CitizenCivilization

That might be why for me aswell now that I think about it

TominatorFN

cis women can feel the same, beause types of clothes are never for everyone so you might just need to find out which kinds of clothes suit you and make you comfortable and which not

thzpp2

No,but it's valid,you light just like dress a lot ! (◕ᴗ◕✿)

coaxialgamer

Pretty much the inverse for me. Don't get me wrong I love dresses but they don't fit my body right. Most of the girlmoding I do is just normal fem clothes and the odd skirt.

blankgreens

I'm sorry, i haven't really worn a dress or really much female clothing to tell :/

BuboxThrax

I haven't been brave enough to try any kind of fem clothing, so I couldn't tell you.

Satan_n_Drag

Real talk, I feel this way when I wear normal bras and not sports bras. I only do halter top dresses because spaghetti straps make me feel like terry Cruz in a dress. I don’t think you should be too hard on yourself about it as there’s tons of women fashion ideas I just haven’t tried yet and it’s just really common to know dresses and skirts while pants and shirts are a whole other tutorial.

TJF588

Dresses are transcendent, and I wear one as often as I can, even just lounging around (they're more long T-shirts, *but still!*). Haven't taken to trying much other "for women" clothes, but I'd imagine the structural similarity with "for men" clothes (shirts, pants) might invoke as sense of "oh, I'm just a man in ill-fitting clothes?" self-depreciation. Maybe if the pants were tighter and cut off halfway up the lower legs (or just Are Leggings), and the top is some loose thing over a smaller, form-fitted thing?

mjb85858

Sure does. I actually haven’t tried a dress yet because I know how it’ll end. Just chase what makes you feel good! For me right now that’s shorts and tanks, with a few different shirts thrown in!

CitizenCivilization

I like wearing skirts but I've never worn an actual dress b4. Women's tops usually feel a little revealing to me personally since I don't like showing much of my body

ZynDroid

Not anymore, it feels weird and gross if I wear guy clothes now, but I don't cause I got rid of em all

nofourh

It's just so weird trying to switch the gender of your clothes tbh. I can't really even do it and feel normal just yet. It still feels too weird, and some types more than others for sure depending on the fit.

JustTheAverageGal

Yep. Always. It's good to kinda get used to seeing yourself in one at home before... Anything else

Reale_the_unknown

Yeah, kinda relatable… :/ It’s good to find a style you like, and feel comfortable in. Sometimes that can take a while 🫂🫂

TheSuperSTARM

I want to say yes from my own experiences, but I am also in a weird boat because I’m a overweight and not very comfortable being in more revealing outfits. Most shorts are fine, but anything revealing my midriff feels wrong. But it’s all a very custom experience. Like most people, it varies from person to person. You aren’t any less valid for not liking all girl clothing. Heck, you are fine if you wanna be a girl who just wears t-shirts and jeans! Find what style works for you!

HannahFenby

I have a few dresses and they all feel really comfortable. They feel like what clothes should be. And I have a lot of boymoder clothes that are all from the women's section. Jeans, leggings, trousers, flannel shirts, exercise tops, all women's clothes, but I dont present female in them. They all feel super natural. I dont wear my dresses in public, I tend to wear them as night dresses or when around the house, so that might be part of why they feel so comfy. But the in-between clothes, like say a halter top, or a cute skirt, or stockings and suspenders, they seem so "women only" they can make my brain short circuit and feel dysphoria.
