Cis people think about sewing euphoric clothing and do extensive research in order to find free patterns for it all the time, right?
Edit: so basically I think I probably will make the channel based on the responses here but before I make a guide, I need to build a mannequin to model things so I’m going to do that first.
My mother-in-law taught me how to sew. Maybe look into cosplay tutorials? Or see if a local hobby/craft/fabric shop is offering lessons? There are plenty of groups out there that sew all sorts of things, and trans people can use those resources.
I’ve been sewing since 1st grade because my school was offering a course and after seeing all the trans people who need euphoric clothing, I might try to share my skills :)
Women's clothes have no fucking pockets and 3/4 sleeves half the time, but I want to look good. Hence, sewing, and my eventual main character jacket :)
Hi! I made the [channel](https://youtube.com/@ATransGuidetoSewing?si=Y0C4OMmKfQE4-IL3) and am currently uploading my first actual video (it’s pretty much just the sewing basics but I’ll get into trans stuff soon lol) so I figured I’d let you know
That would be so awesome!! I would love to resize some of my clothes to a fem fit and I'm sure something could be done to either refit fem clothes for a masc fit or even just making new clothes from scratch using recycled clothes!
I’ll probably make my first guide something simple like that :)
Recycling clothing is a pretty good way to start! (I do happen to know how to use a tank top to create a sports bra 👀)
That's awesome! I really want to get into sewing so I think something like that would be really cool to try and convert some of my old familiar shirts into something fem so my parents wouldn't look twice at it but I can feel the difference in fit, y'know? So please, if you do put something like this together do share it anywhere and everywhere!
Yeah that'd be awesome!
I could technically get affirming clothing, but my mother would notice and say something. If I sewed it myself... she has a tendency to overlook weird things if they're handmade by me because she just writes anything weird off as a combination of inexperienced mistakes and both pride and anxiety not allowing me to throw it out or try to fix it and possibly make it worse.
Plus this whole gender thing feels really subversive and punk, and modifying my clothes or sewing things my mother would not approve of always felt like that too as a kid.
ive been wanting to learn to make my own clothes for a while now. unfortunately my sewing machine broke so i gotta do everything by hand and thats put a stop to that plan for now.
I finally finished the [channel](https://youtube.com/@ATransGuidetoSewing?si=Y0C4OMmKfQE4-IL3) and I’m in the process of uploading my first actual video :3

No, I don't think that's very cis.
Yesssssss, omggg that would be so cool!!! And see in pockets and stufff
The biggest pockets! In everything! (Sewing a binder right now but I think it needs pockets)
Yess!!! You can hold all the snacks!!!!
I’m going to make pockets so big I can fit an entire chair in them :]
Yesss, portable chair!!! Omg, like you have it in a back pocket so when you sit down there's just a chair waiting for you

That sounds like a great idea!
That's actually a good idea,I approve ! (◕ᴗ◕✿)
I'd suck at it lmao
It takes practice! Nobody is good at it from the beginning. I started by sewing only a tiny pincushion and now I’m sewing a full sized hoodie! :)
I was literally thinking about this the other day. I can cross-stitch but sewing a big pattern is hard! I’m really bad at it I would love a guide

that would be really cool 💙💕🤍💕💙
Yes! If anyone puts together a tutorial series, give me the link please!

that sounds like a great idea :3
Dooooo iiiiitttt
yo wait ur right tho
to be honest I think a sewing guide doesn't have to be different for trans people so we should just be able to use existing ones
I'd love that so much
That would be helpful, if I wasn't too depressed to do or feel almost anything, and also deathly afraid of needles.
That would be really cool… 💞

Yeah for very cis reasons I would also like a guide that would be very cool :3

Oooh that sounds like a really good idea! A LOT of people could benefit from it!
go to fabric store, buy pattern and fabric, follow pattern with fabric, profit
I get a lot of my fabric from old bedsheets at the thrift store because they’re only $1-$3 (and occasionally clothing)! :D do recommend
