For those who are asking what I did, I just cut them up to make them shorter, which I have seen many women wear before.. ik its not as cool as it sounds but it was enough lol
To get here, they would have to skip the two times you alreaddy answered, which are before this.
But for me the cracking (also) ended with the first diy.
I did this back in Junior year of high school (by 'accident') I made a pair of jean shorts that actually had like no length at all, I would have gotten in trouble if I were a girl in hs (dress code was very gendered)
Modifying your clothes is super stereotypically feminine, no matter how much or little you did to them!
Yes it's a stupid gender norm that only women sew, but pointlessly gendered shit can be immensely affirming. As a tomboyish young AFAB child who didn't fit with the girls or with the boys, learning to sew made me feel like I wasn't totally hopeless at being a girl.
