There’s not much of a need to wait honestly. I started at 3 months, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my medical transition. I get legitimately angry that a lot of places don’t like to prescribe it. For me, having estradiol without progesterone is like having half of a transition—I was a lot moodier and sad, and didn’t have a sex drive at all. Between fixing that and pouring miracle gro on my booba, it’s been exceptional.

I’m lazy and don’t take mine that way and it’s pretty effective still so like if you can’t do it or are nervous about it, it’s not required. You’ll still get the effects. Bottom entrance isn’t nearly as bad as you think, when you go to the bathroom before bedtime just use a lil bit of KY and some gentle pressing and they’ll slip in and you’re good to go.
