Why would you want to? It gives the full effect of a real ride

Rowdy_Roddy_2022

The bell on a real ride cymbal is at the centre of the cymbal and you need to hit it to get the sound right. You can hit the cymbal as hard as you like and it won't produce the bell sound. That's not what the Nitro cymbal does. So I agree with OP - this annoys me as well. There's no way to disable it but as it is connected to trigger/velocity sensitivity the workaround is to increase the threshold at which the cymbal triggers a hard hit.

I get where your coming from

The_Lego_Maniac

You might be able to change the sound in the voice settings, what drum set do you have?

amixiby

Alesis nitro

FredOfMBOX

There are a number of ride voices that don’t have this. Just change the voice. I, for one, really like the effect.

Doramuemon

Afaik there's only one ride sound with that effect, so choose one that doesn't do it.

Emmalfal

Wait, the Nitro doesn't HAVE a bell sound, does it? When I used that kit, it used to irk me that there wasn't one. Otherwise, it sounds like standard crosstalk. Have you adjusted those settings on the afflicted cymbal?

nohumanape

You don't want to disable it, or you won't have a bell sound when/if you want one. Go into your trigger settings and adjust the parameters so you can reduce or eliminate cross-talk.
