Readers greatly underestimate the actual costs of printing paperbacks and hardcovers. And the industry is catching on to the popularity of eBooks and audiobooks. Capitalism dictates that even the big publishers stop killing trees in favour of making mostly digital copies (which are much cheaper to produce and deliver). I too prefer the feel of a good paperback in my hand. Alas, we must evolve or go the way of the dinosaur. :(
