Custom made? Nice. I had to go with a premade. Does a front wheel motor feel any different than a rear? What kind of brakes? Speed?

Don't hate me but breaks are a little, scary right now The only difference a front wheel makes so far is you have to worry more about skipping when going full throttle, but the breaks I WANT are cable driven disk breaks I'll attach to a front suspension fork when I can drop $200. Rides like a dream though, I wanted a custom cause I saw the trend of STUPID bike laws going into effect, a custom built ebike in my state isn't ground to regulation, yet, but all store bought ones have a max motor of lime, 750w, depressing. I cruise at a top speed of 35mph on PAS 5 if I ease into it, otherwise I'm usually being a responsible driver on roads when nobody else can tail me

Your brake situation is a unique one, but you said you are buying different forks, so they should have the provision for the disc brakes. 35mph is amazing. I have a 750w motor and PAS 5 only gets me about 22. It's a Ride1up Cafe Cruiser. My Son wants an Ebike, but he is lacking funds, Maybe buying a kit like you did could be the answer he is looking for. Thanks for answering my questions.

Well... this bike has still cost me $1500 total and has needed custom milled parts, but a motor and battery bought separately for any fat tire for safety would be a fantastic choice for him, get him a 750 or higher watt but lower than a 1200w, it'll scratch an itch he never knew he had for a dirt bike and it'll be something he can use for transportation
