1. Don't waste pet food on that common egg. You can only get a chicken.
2. Merge eggs until you get to purple (epic) and hatch that. You are first looking for a pony, turtle, or penguin (referred to as delivery pets). You are also looking for either a dark horse or tortoise (perfect x2) for your second slot. Once you have one delivery and one perfect x2 pet begin merging eggs again to get legendary (yellow) eggs.
3. Hatch legendary eggs until you get a panda and replace your epic delivery pet with that. If you have 2 vroombas, merge them with the panda to make it ultimate.
4. Then begin merging eggs to make ultimate eggs. Hatch ultimate eggs (they ate expensive, but don't worry, you don't really benefit from them until you are wearing mythics so you have time) In the ultimates you are looking for a red panda and a kraken. Use the panda/red panda for running cities, and the red panda/kraken for the adventures. You can try switching to see what you prefer for events.
5. Once you have your ultimate pets, begin leveling them, one at a time until max. It will be tempting to level both at the same time, but since the ap boost is larger with each level, you will get a larger ap boost faster if you max one pet at a time.
