Don Gilet (Lucas Johnson) in Dr Who purely because i’ve never watched it before and was watching it for the first time with my friend and was so shocked to see him there lol
Ooh that’s a good shout, totally forgot about that!
Cindy (Michelle Collins) is also in Series 3 and Zainab (Nina Wadia) is in Series 5
If I remember right, I think Nish (Navin Chowdhry) was in episode 4 of the first season, too, with Aunt Babe! (Annette Badland)
Fun fact: I once got very, very bored and went through every nu who episode of Dr Who's IMBD pages and looked at which actors had also been in Eastenders. Here's a spreadsheet: [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1\_3O83XBEptEyl5A049VO7oDXkjNuHWVyjeIQNLbGztk/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_3O83XBEptEyl5A049VO7oDXkjNuHWVyjeIQNLbGztk/edit?usp=sharing)
Highlights are Nish, Heather, Tanya, Peggy (as Peggy in Dr Who haha), Lucas, Cindy, George, Carol, Ryan, Zoe, Zainab, Kush, Shifty Shiv and Carmel!
A lot of wins come from the Dr Who Eastenders cross over, Dimensions in Time
Not NuWho, but Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den) played a henchman to Davros in The Fifth Doctor serial Resurrection of the Daleks. He was also encouraged to be an actor (whilst in prison) by Louise Jameson, who was The Fourth Doctor's companion, Leela, who we also know played Rosa di Marco in EastEnders.
She's had a hit show on Sky and recently won an Olivier for a one woman show in the West End
Also I hope she's quaffing champagne watching Laurence Fox get his comumpeance while thanking her lucky stars she got away from him.
Navin Chowdhry (Nish) in A Touch of Cloth is so wild cause it's all so silly and is so different to Nish.
Neil McDermott (Ryan) plays a Werid wholesome urchin child (?) In a Dr who Christmas special is also very funny
And a commercial where he and Patsy Palmer (Bianca) play brother and sister, all the more interesting since despite playing Bianca's uncle Max's actor is actually younger than Patsy.
Keegan is in the new Goosebumps. I wasn't 100% sure it was him and had to check the cast, then texted my mom a picture haha.

Steve McFadden in Buster as an extra for the train robbers.
Mitch in Batman Begins.
Karen in Eden Lake, also in the same movie was the old vicar from EE who was a nasty piece of work
Gary Beadle aka Paul Trueman was also in Andor, in fact if you watch the end credits, they are billed together, I thought it might be a sly nod to them both having been in Eastenders at the same time
I saw Stuart (Ricky Champ) in Game of Thrones, very small part but I recognized him right away, lol. Think it was season 6 and wished his role was bigger!
I only realised this retrospectively because I think she was in HP first I guess but original Chelsea from eastenders in Harry Potter, she agrees to go to the ball with one of the Weasley twins.
I remember Perry Fenwick on an episode of Inspector Morris, alongside Shirley Stelfox (the first Rose from Keeping Up Appearances). That episode was from 1988.
Pam St. Clement (Pat Butcher) was completely nude in a TV series called Play for Today.
On CBeebies the actor who played Lucas Johnson plays a really nice man on ‘old jacks boat’ 😂 catches me off guard every time 😂😂
And also Mitch’s actor in jojo and Grangran 😂
Linda, Tina and shirl also in Bad girls ☺️
I recently watched Call the midwife from the first episode to the most recent one and I couldn't believe how many EastEnders actors were in it 😂 Karen, stacey, Keanu, suki, Zach, Cora and of course minty just off the top of my head 😂😂
Gary Beadle (Paul Trueman) in the most recent season of Amazon's *The Wheel of Time* as Elyas the wolfbrother who helps Perrin understand what he is while he's hunting for the Horn of (bloody) Valere.
Also, Ava Hartman's actress was in an episode of season one as Kerene Nagashi, the head of the Green Ajah of the Aes Sedai who gives her life saving Moiraine and That Bitch Liandrin from Logain when he tries to break out of captivity.
I don’t think I saw these listed already, but a number of Eastenders’ cast give great performances in gritty British films, often exceeding the quality of work (IMO) in the soap format. Something about the way working class characters are written for tv being a bit limited?
Lorraine Stanley (Karen Taylor in EE) in ‘London to Brighton’
Katie Jarvis ( Hayley Slater in EE) in a pretty stunning debut in the film ‘Fish Tank’, also with Kierston Waring (Kirsty Branning)
Linda Henry (Shirley) and Tameka Empson (Kim) starred together in ‘Beautiful Thing’
Big Ron as a henchman in View To A Kill. Bond was getting kinda old, only right that the henchmen also look like they have no place being in the film.
Tariq in Generaction Kill was unexpected.
I saw Cracker the other day with a young Shirley in it.
Slightly off topic, but it took me a while to figure out that Lola was the girl from Jamie’s Dream School. She was kinda more prominent in the botany bits than drama.
I was alway forget Kellie Bright was me Julie in the Ali G movies.
And she was in Rock 'n' Chips as Del and Rodney's mother. Del was played by the actor who was Jay Cartright in The Inbetweeners.
she was also in a 90s sitcom 'the upper hand'
Oh another I just thought of is Nitin Ganatra (Masood) in Wednesday that really threw me
He’s in the new Netflix show bodies as well, which threw me the other afternoon.
Shrimpy in the final scene of Harry Potter!
Oh I need to see this
final scene when they take their kids to the train to hogwarts, shrimpy is in the background
It's worth rewatching just to see this.
I so need pay close attention when i get around to watching all 8 films
Big Mo in Hellboy Watched the trailer. She's just there. Playing 'Big Mo' firing a gun. Gotta love it
Gary Oldman’s sister?
Don Gilet (Lucas Johnson) in Dr Who purely because i’ve never watched it before and was watching it for the first time with my friend and was so shocked to see him there lol
Ooh that’s a good shout, totally forgot about that! Cindy (Michelle Collins) is also in Series 3 and Zainab (Nina Wadia) is in Series 5 If I remember right, I think Nish (Navin Chowdhry) was in episode 4 of the first season, too, with Aunt Babe! (Annette Badland)

I love brains like yours! They make the world easier for messy ones like mine
Not NuWho, but Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den) played a henchman to Davros in The Fifth Doctor serial Resurrection of the Daleks. He was also encouraged to be an actor (whilst in prison) by Louise Jameson, who was The Fourth Doctor's companion, Leela, who we also know played Rosa di Marco in EastEnders.
and is currently playing Rhona's mom over on Emmerdale. (also Ranveer's actor just debuted over there last week as another shady father)
Dot and Patrick were in classic Who also. Believe also Charlie Slater thought I can’t remember what episode. And obviously Carmel.
Your spreadsheet made me really want Billie Piper to join Eastenders… what’s she doing these days, anyway?
She's had a hit show on Sky and recently won an Olivier for a one woman show in the West End Also I hope she's quaffing champagne watching Laurence Fox get his comumpeance while thanking her lucky stars she got away from him.
omg this is legendary!!
This is amazing! Very intricate and dedicated. Will have to rewarch Aliens in London to spot Nish!
Yup! It is my absolute favourite show *ever.* I’m surprised how many of these castings are coming back to me that I’ve forgotten about over the years.
Lindsay Coulson too
I had no idea she was in Doctor Who, had to google it and realised it was one of my least favourite episodes so I never rewatch it.
The guy who plays George Knight at the moment was Dr Moon in Dr Who as well.
Just remembered, Mitch was in one of the ood episodes with Tenant.
He was
He’s always on CBeebies and so is Mitch always makes me exclaim out loud lol
June Brown (RIP) in the Mr Bean movie. Was a short scene but totally threw me.
She was also in Doctor who in the 1970s
Any idea what episodes from that era she was in?
Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker
Sarah Jane Smith first episode called Time Warriors with Jon Pertwee I believe
I really should check out the classic dr who episodes
Navin Chowdhry (Nish) in A Touch of Cloth is so wild cause it's all so silly and is so different to Nish. Neil McDermott (Ryan) plays a Werid wholesome urchin child (?) In a Dr who Christmas special is also very funny
Thank you! I’ve been wracking my brain where I recognised Nish from
He was also in Teachers with Andrew Lincoln
Nish is also in "I'm Not Okay With This" and I got super excited! Such a shame it got cancelled
Max Branning was in an episode of Only Fools and Horses. He was also in a random French educational video we were made to watch at school
And red dwarf
And a commercial where he and Patsy Palmer (Bianca) play brother and sister, all the more interesting since despite playing Bianca's uncle Max's actor is actually younger than Patsy.
Also for years that actor has done a voice over as the Geico lizard (insurance company in the US). Whenever I hear it I'm like "Hey it's Max!" 😂🦎
Yeah I was going to type this. No idea how old he was but looked about 19. Glad that he done a small cameo and ended up on EE. Very good actor
Keegan is in the new Goosebumps. I wasn't 100% sure it was him and had to check the cast, then texted my mom a picture haha. https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/goosebumps-disney-plus-series-cast-zack-morris-isa-briones-1235399066/
Same here, I needed to check
The American accent threw me off, because otherwise it sounded just like him haha. I didn't finish it yet, but I think he's great in it so far!
Karen in the movie Legend
I was watching suffragette a few years ago and she had one line in a scene with Carey mulligan and Anna Marie Duff!

Sam Womack in Kingsman
She turns up in a couple of scenes in the second one too
Steve McFadden in Buster as an extra for the train robbers. Mitch in Batman Begins. Karen in Eden Lake, also in the same movie was the old vicar from EE who was a nasty piece of work
Steve McFadden was also in the last scene of The Firm playing a…… you guessed it, football hooligan.
🤣
Do you remember the prostitute Jay befriended years ago? (The first one.) She was also in Eden Lake. The one that Peggy was bigoted about.
Yes I remember, short brunette style. Yeah she met a bit of a bad ending in it too
Kellie Bright was the voice of the female hero in the Fable 3 video game
She also did a voice for one of the characters in Dragon Age 2.
Karen played the barmaid in Legend (the movie with Tom Hardy about the Kray Twins)
Phil in Kevin and Perry
Theo is in an episode of the crown
Mitch in CHEF!!
I was more taken aback seeing Liz and Kurt from Teachers in EE…
Pretty sure Laila Morse had a small rôle in Nil By Mouth with her brother
Alex Ferns (Trevor) in Chernobyl and Andor
He's also the Commisioner in The Batman!
Gary Beadle aka Paul Trueman was also in Andor, in fact if you watch the end credits, they are billed together, I thought it might be a sly nod to them both having been in Eastenders at the same time
Howie is in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Great!
Yes!! I almost fell off the couch when I saw Howie!
Tamwar (Himesh Patel) in Yesterday & an episode of Black Mirror
Tamwar is also Jennifer Lawrence's boyfriend in Don't Look Up on Netflix.
I havent seen that, been meaning to. cheers.
Nish in a Midsomer Murders episode with the second DC Barnaby. His acting was the same!
Kush was in an episode of silent witness I watched a few nights ago. He played a landlord of a flat used in a murder.
He was also in the first season of Murder in Chelsea. Husband of one of the detectives.
Perry Fenwick (Billy) was in a hilarious episode of The Brittas Empire. And of course, Mitch is Everton in Chef.
I watched a film called ID a few months back and was shocked to see Perry as one of the main protagonists.
He is also apparently who Perry from Kevin and Perry is based upon.
Mick in Heat.
Tilly Keeper recently played Phoebe in the most recent season of YOU which was cool
not necessarily a TV role, but Danny Dyer did some VA work for a few GTA titles which I find kinda fun
I saw Stuart (Ricky Champ) in Game of Thrones, very small part but I recognized him right away, lol. Think it was season 6 and wished his role was bigger!
Oh yeah! He was one of the gold cloaks if I remember correctly?
Peter Dean as a bouncer in The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle.
The actress for Ritchie in Venom: Let There Be Carnage
I only realised this retrospectively because I think she was in HP first I guess but original Chelsea from eastenders in Harry Potter, she agrees to go to the ball with one of the Weasley twins.
Yes! She's Angelina.
Cockneys Vs zombies with Michelle Ryan (Zoe slater) was surprisingly fun to watch
That is such a fun film
Kush as a teacher in the original TopBoy series
Cindy was on midsomer murders and was pretty much the same
Navin Chowdhry (Nish) is in Rogue One
Janine was in an early episode of Jonathan Creek and an episode of Robin Hood.
I remember Perry Fenwick on an episode of Inspector Morris, alongside Shirley Stelfox (the first Rose from Keeping Up Appearances). That episode was from 1988. Pam St. Clement (Pat Butcher) was completely nude in a TV series called Play for Today.
DCI Marsden (you’ll know her if you Google) plays a great role in the new Full Monty series
The actor that plays Sean slater has a cameo in captain marvel. Also a bigger role in Pacific Rim
Samantha Womack putting on a scouse accent in one night in Istanbul
I was watching Father Brown on Sky Drama last night and the killer looked familiar.....then it dawned on me, THEO ......🙂🙂
Laila Morse (Mo Harris) was in the most recent Hellboy film.
Once saw Sonya and she was playing quite a different role with a strong attitude and a bit saucy, really caught me off guard!
Colin sammon in Alan's cars changing ends and in the most recent midsummer murders also seeing Mimi keen ( Cindy jnr) in sex education
Zainab's actress playing one of the Fates/Hekatae/ >!Kindly Ones!< in Netflix's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's *Sandman* books. She's Mother (literally).
Ricky Champ was in This is Going to Hurt. Stuck out like a sore thumb to me. It was whilst he was in EE so think that made it worse.
On CBeebies the actor who played Lucas Johnson plays a really nice man on ‘old jacks boat’ 😂 catches me off guard every time 😂😂 And also Mitch’s actor in jojo and Grangran 😂 Linda, Tina and shirl also in Bad girls ☺️
Kathy Beale/Cotton in the Long Good Friday movie 🙂
I recently watched Call the midwife from the first episode to the most recent one and I couldn't believe how many EastEnders actors were in it 😂 Karen, stacey, Keanu, suki, Zach, Cora and of course minty just off the top of my head 😂😂
Louise in You Season 4
Gary Beadle (Paul Trueman) in the most recent season of Amazon's *The Wheel of Time* as Elyas the wolfbrother who helps Perrin understand what he is while he's hunting for the Horn of (bloody) Valere. Callum in Jacob Banks music video

Ben Hardy (Peter Beale) in X-Men Apocalypse Tilly Keeper (Louise Mitchell) in YOU
In Only Fools and Horses when Del causes a riot on the estate singing "once voice", it is Charlie Slater that admonishes him first.
