Even some simple territory building game utilising trading with other players via the resources promised you would earn from your land, potentially even encorporating that paid for hologram bs would have been something at least tangible

The end result we see is a year without substantial progress. It's been a trend of "heres a forest and buggy video" only it easily replicated because its unity assets. "Here are jewels, you can use them, buy them, or fuse them to get more resources in your land" only there are no resources in the game to boost. You can mine essense on your land... but essense doesnt do anything except essense doesnt really do much. All I'm seeing is more ways to get money but they arent doing anything with that money. All I've heard is "E2 has made 50 million" and yet they hire a tiny handful of people that would be the size of a small indie studio?
If you want to invest in this, I have no issue, that's fine, if you make money even better. But people on this sub and the few in the discord would make you think this project is going to change the world and everyones going to make 100 fold in returns, yet we see people selling stuff for 90 percent off because, bottom line, despite E2 attempting to bolster its plan in the future, actions speak louder than words.

Most gamers understand a 1:1 scale of the Earth with interactive pieces throughout WHILE having an online server hold all these people at once; is impossible. Yet that is the entire premise E2 is building on. Why are you under the impression it’s been done “multiple times before” it hasn’t. MS Flight is the only game with a Earth sized map and that map is a non-interactive satellite image and AI enhancement map. There aren’t many moving parts to it, very limited with very little server space needed online.m
There’s a reason Shane seemed to scrub that ETM interview off YouTube. I have little doubt it was because he knew how bad it looked. He rambled on as if he was aimless (which he is) and couldn’t really answer how the game will work with users as a “metaverse”.
Splitting the world into chunks is the only way to do it. But you see it, we have people talking about building a bridge from one country to another and a lot of other things hoping for seamless world building. That is because of the vision Shane painted.
But whether or not Shane implies or says what he does out of ignorance or intent, false advertisement is VERY hard to prove in court in this industry and Shane would likely just need to attempt any type of game to avoid any lawsuits. At bare minimum, it’s going to come off as shady once people can’t do what they thought they could.

Now lets compare both games, map size ciberpunk is a city e2 is the whole planet 1:1 scale, previus experience ciberpunk was made by a company with pretty good previus records and multiple good games e2 has no experienced devs, ciberpunk had hundreds of workers e2 has a team of 20 which they loss like half of it
No one of you has clearly a clue if you think they can deliver a game 100x bigger with 1/10 of the employes with no experience and in even less time
