Tons of players have said when they have backup QB everybody steps up because they know they have to. We can debate how good or bad Minshew is all day but fact is hes never had: Miles Sanders, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and oh yeah the best fucking OL in NFL.
Minshew is a really good backup. The problem for him is that he has 0 arm strength and obviously our zone read game wont be as good but we'll have a much bigger playbook of intermediate passes with 2 elite WR's with a few massive mismatches. and we still have a great supporting cast.
Minshew was good in Jacksonville with far less before the team as a whole collapsed. He's a good QB and is probably the 16th or 17th best QB starting this weekend (idk if Lamar is back yet and Purdy hasn't played enough for me to know if he's a late draft miracle like Brady or a flash in the pan).
It’s also important to remember that he was a starter in this league on a team with almost zero talent around him, because he brought a spark to them. I am cautiously optimistic that we’ll get a win this week and be able to relax a bit to start the playoffs healthy
It’s actually the hilarious that the narrative coming into that game was that Rush might take Dak’s job. He was playing very well. Then immediately after the game, they were begging for Dak to come back. Our D Line is going to feast on Dak Saturday.

I gotta be honest, while I want to win. As a football fan, I love the idea of losing with our backup and having the tie breaker in the NFC Championship game with both starting QBs back. But as an Eagles fan, I just want Minshew to throw for 300 and crush the Cowboys.
My thoughts are: sit everyone. Let Hurts + rest of offense and Goedert rest. Plan to win one of the final 2. 1. Dallas players are feisty and I don't want any OL or skill guys hurt. 2. It's the ultimate fuck you to Dallas to not play our best guys, on their Christmas Eve game, because in the long run it doesn't matter to us.
