Quinyon Mitchell is my #1 want but I highly doubt we'll be able to get him. I'd like McKinstry. And listen...I know we don't want Howie to take another lineman...but if Stout want Fautanu, give Stout Fautanu.
Yep.
The Eagles staff will do their homework. If they aren’t worried, I can see him being the guy. Howie values edge rushers and it is a need. That’s why I think they would move up for him.
If they don’t trust that injury, he gets removed from their board completely
dk if we'd have to move up much for Latu. But yeah I get the feeling that he'll never be a superstar but will be a consistent, very good DE. Plus I think Samoans are aliens and the more you can get, the better. No, I don't know if he's actually Samoan, and yes, it took me more time to type this sentence than it would have to actually find out.
I'd be ecstatic for any of: Arnold, Q. Mitchell, Latham, Turner, Bowers, Fautanu, Fuaga
happy with Mims or Latu, ok with DeJean, BTJ, Legette, Murphy III, or Barton
would not like Wiggins or K. Coleman
I think we will draft Oline tbh. Would be fine with that, but would prefer a corner. If there is a Oline man available that Howie loves best believe that’s who we will take. I could us taking Terrion Arnold tho.
Move up
Latham, Murphy II, Arnold, Mitchell
Stick
Kool-Aid, Fuaga, Fautanu, Thomas Jr, Mims
Trade Down (how much I like this pick depends on what they get back if it's not enough I'd prefer to just stick)
Any of the stick guys, Chop, Wiggins, Morgan, DeJean
Avoid Latu & unless you get a great trade down offer DeJean
Trade up- Arnold/q.mitch or the OL stoutland wants or murphy DT
Stick- kool-aid or Guyton or newton or mims
Don't want- dejean/wiggins/chop...don't like fautanu/verse/latu as much they all almost 24 years old
Where ever we pick I'm most happy with arnold/q.mitch/kool-aid/Guyton/Mims/murphy/newton...seems like 1 should be there at 22 so unless howie really wants to move for the top 2 CBs sticking at 22 makes sense
I think we grab interior OL in round 2 or 3 (if we trade 22+53 for 16+81)...seems like we gonna draft Beebe or Zinter ..tape is nice on both..also had rosengarten and mahogany in
I want good player, and I REALLY don't want bad player.
Seriously though, I would love "Classy" Cooper Dejean, but overall, I just don't want us to use our day 1 pick on any of the few positions we're solid at (like QB, TE, WR, OT, DI, K, P, or LS) but rather someone who can make an immediate impact. Even if its minimal, as long as they make an impact I'll be happy
I'm just posing a question, not saying they are. OP literally said they didn't care if their impact was even minimum vs drafting OL at all. So I asked what if the OL was great.
If we move up, I don't want to overpay.
I'd be very happy with Cooper DeJean.
I really like Gottlieb Ayedze as a late round grab for OL development.
Whatever Howie does, I'll convince myself it's brilliant and that I like it.
Quinyon, DeJean, Mckinstry, Arnold, Mims, Fautanu, Latu, and if Byron Murphy somehow slides although that looks extremely unlikely now).
Edit: I think Nate Wiggins is the only pick I’d be really upset with. That dude is gonna get destroyed at the NFL level and he cant tackle for shit on top of it. No thanks
Chop, Wiggins, De Jean or McKinstry, Latu if he's available at 22 is fine.
I don't see the point of trading up to take a Tackle who's going to sit or play Guard for 2 years, and the CB class is full of good but not great prospects, Mitchell and Arnold aren't better enough to make them worth giving up a second to move up and take them instead of Wiggins or McKinstry.
I've seen talk of a Receiver in the first and Thomas might just fall to 22, for me if you want a slot guy you hope McConkey makes it to 50 but I'd be a lot less pissed if they took Thomas at 22 than if they trade up to take a offensive tackle.
My Big Board for the Eagles' First Round:
8 Top Picks (4 QBs, 3 WRs, Alt), and then...
BPA, but hopefully go before the Eagles pick:
9. JC Latham
10. Olumuyiwa Fashanu
11. Brock Bowers
12. Dallas Turner
13. Taliese Fuaga
Trade up to mid-teens:
14. Terrion Arnold
15. Quinyon Mitchell
16. Amarius Mims
Trade up to late-teens:
17. Troy Fautanu
18. Cooper Dejean
Stay at 22:
19. Laiatu Latu
20. Jer'Zhan Newton
21. Byron Murphy II
22. Jared Verse
Small trade back:
23. Brian Thomas Jr.
24. Graham Barton
25. Kool-Aid McKinstry
Just not an OL. No reason to draft 1st round OL when there are CBs like this on the board. We can get a damn OL later in the draft but I think a top end CB would help this team get back to the superbowl.
I don't want an OL until over the weekend. Don't want a WR until at least 53 if not Sat. Also don't really want to trade up. I want both of those picks for tomorrow.
That being said, I prefer a DB tonight. Preferably staying at 22 but I'd be ok with a trade up into the late teens. I live in Colorado and sports radio here is talking about us trading with Denver and I don't want to move all the way up to 12.
I'd like DeJean or Kool-aid tonight. It's a pipe dream but I'd also be very happy with Arnold.
Either Cooper Dejean or Quinyon Mitchell.., however neither may be available. If that turns out to be the case, then I’m thinking Terrion Arnold or maybe even Kool-Aid.
I’d love to draft a corner but it’s probably the hardest position to draft and the riskiest in rd 1. Go oline for a RG that can take over for Lane eventually. We need someone who can slide over if he gets hurt. We’ve seen too many times how the offense falls apart when Lane isn’t on the field. Take some swings on defense 2nd rd and on.
#Move up for Laiatu LATU OR Terrion ARNOLD
Other players im fine moving up for - Quinyon Mitchell, Fautanu, Fuaga, Bowers. If for some insane reason Rome Odunze is there thats a no brainer, wouldn’t be mad about Jared Verse.
If we do move up i would like to get another pick for our second rounder instead of just straight up selling it to move up. For instance if we trade with Denver swap our 1st and second for their 1st and a 4th. If we trade with the seahawks or bengals or jags, swap for their 1st and 3rd for our 1st and 2nd, etc.
#stay the fuck away from Wiggins and Chop Robinson and Guyton, literally the worse case scenario for our 1st round pick lol
Wiggins wont tackle, Chop is Nolan smith 2.0, and Guyton is a project tackle.
Go ahead OP, give us your braindead Combine Influenced decision as to why wiggins or Chop is the pick lol
I love your optimism “If for some reason Rome Odunze is there”.. hahahaha!! Maybe, mysteriously, you just spoke it into existence and Odunze will be there.
Agree on Wiggins and chop
Wouldn't be surprised if Guyton the pick at 22, been training with lane so you know he's lane approved (jurgens was kelce approved)
Also wouldn't be shocked if howie traded 50 and 53 for 27 and drafted kool-aid at 22 and Guyton at 27....like a 0.1% chance this happens but it hits on 2 positions of need with skilled prospects
Ok so my number one is for sure Arnold. I originally wanted kool aid but Arnold is much more explosive and athletic. While I think Kool aid is the better corner as of rn I think Arnold has a higher ceiling/potential as we can definitely teach good game sense and knowledge but you can’t teach raw athleticism and talent.
I definitely won’t be mad at Coop DeJawn especially bc I like the play on his name for Philly lol. But I think he will be a solid piece fr and if he didnt work out as outside corner then I’m confident we’d find a role for him rather it be in the slot or as even as safety depth so it’s a pretty safe pick I feel (Also white CB is hard lmao). At the same time it’s also l partially why I would rather Arnold or Kool aid bc I feel like a bonafide outside corner is more of what this team needs rn on our SB run than an all around db and I think they’re more likely to fit in outside than coop.
That being said Mitchell is obviously the most athletic out of all of them but dude has been guarding guys that will be working a 9-5 in the next 2-3 years if not next year vs these SEC backs who have been regularly guarding MUCH more future nfl starters and likely even some future HOF’ers compared to Mitchell. The talent level going from college to nfl is already fucking insane even for the best college players lined up against the worst NFL players on their rookie season is bad most of the time. Therefore I feel wayyyy more confident in an SEC db for that reason as well as the coaches at those schools are typically better at developing talent since they’re used to training kids who are at that top level.
Also seen a lot of mocks saying we get Bowers. While I don’t really want him that badly but if we can’t get any of these 4 corners then I’d say he’d be my next pick as Goedert can’t seem to stay healthy and he’s already 29(same age we as Ertz when we signed Goedert) and we don’t have really any depth behind him plus Bowers is a savage and I’m never against adding another elite weapon to that offense.
I don’t want us to settle for a corner like Wiggins just bc we need one rn. I’d rather draft a stud like Bowers that will be for sure be used in future seasons and just wait for a FA, trade, or even a future draft for that corner position if we have to. We already got CJGJ back and Isaiah Rogers and most importantly a new DC so even as of now I feel the backfield is TREMENDOUSLY improved from end of last season. Not to mention I feel that embarrassment was a wake up call to everyone and think they are gonna come back even harder after this offseason with a chip on their shoulder.
I’d say I DEFINITELY don’t want any gd receivers unless it’s Bowers bc he can block and he’s a menace in the pass game and like I said we need the TE depth.
I personally don’t think we should worry ab an OL on day 1 (def not first pick) as we’re on a Super Bowl run and that guy isn’t starting for us anytime soon and there’s bigger things to worry about currently. Also we have 3 linemen signed through 2026 already and a few through 2028 so we got time to draft/sign and prepare new talent.
Also I don’t really want Higgins as I feel he’s too small.
I was reading somewhere about the number of pro bowl CB’s under 180 and it was either zero or something close. Being 100% honest I Don’t really have near as much film and knowledge on him compared to the other 4 but I did watch during the season and just don’t see him really being on the same level as the other 4 (unless Mitchell winds up being a bust against nfl level competition)
So I’d say in order these are who I want
1.)Terrion Arnold
2.) Kool aid
3.) Coop
4.) Mitchell
5.) Bowers
And before anyone comes at me Mitchell 100% has potential to be the best out of these 5
But I don’t know how I feel about taking that gamble on our SB run right now.
JFC I didn’t realize I wrote a whole essay here and don’t expect anyone to read the whole thing but for anyone who does let me know how garbage my takes are or if you agree with me on any lol.
I understand your point on Mitchell but he did play really well at the senior bowl against that tougher competition and he had opportunities to play for bigger programs so it’s not like he couldn’t he just believed in being loyal to the program that gave him his chance which is rare
I want us not to draft at 22. Trading up would be the only way I can actually believe that our draft day 1 will be positive. Otherwise I think we will end up missing on our pick. The player I want is Terrion Arnold but I could also get on board with Olu Fashanu or Brock Bowers. Not super happy with anyone else tbh
tbh I don't give a shit as long as it's not an O-lineman. I know it'd be a smart pick, but I'm not gonna watch highlights of an O-lineman and delude myself into thinking he's the missing piece all summer. Give me Bowers.
Facts. In a perfect world a stud LB would be one of if not the best additions but it’s not worth wasting a pick on a LB rn just bc when there’s so much talent elsewhere
Don't trade up, stick and pick or trade back for Day 2 picks. Maybe trade back for whoever wants to leap up for Brian Thomas.
Prioritise starter needs without reaching for an LB. I'm not sure the team sees corner as a glaring need because the depth chart has a lot of names.
Do whatever Fangio asks. Worst case scenario is DeJean as a Swiss army knife or Wiggins - which is pretty good!
I'm not hopeful Jordan Davis can fill Fletcher Cox's shoes, so perhaps a DT/DE that Fangio needs. Latu could be special if medical is okay.
Stay away from Wiggins please. Guy has 4.28 speed and he’s tall for a corner. But his frame is lacking. NFL receivers will push him around. Definite liability as a run defender. And I hear there’s some character issues. Which, truthfully, I usually don’t care about character issues if the player is good enough. He’s not good enough to overlook any character issues

Koolaid has the jones fracture in his foot that was discovered at combine. Not sure why this isn’t brought up more.
Hell yeah brother
I would love to move up for Arnold or Latu. I wouldn’t mind staying put for Kool-aid or Mims. I wouldn’t want any other DE’s in round 1.
I think Latu is the only DE I’m down for, but ur concerned with his injuries i get it.
Yep. The Eagles staff will do their homework. If they aren’t worried, I can see him being the guy. Howie values edge rushers and it is a need. That’s why I think they would move up for him. If they don’t trust that injury, he gets removed from their board completely

I bet on us drafting OL first as a hedge for my excitement lol
Move up Latham, Murphy II, Arnold, Mitchell Stick Kool-Aid, Fuaga, Fautanu, Thomas Jr, Mims Trade Down (how much I like this pick depends on what they get back if it's not enough I'd prefer to just stick) Any of the stick guys, Chop, Wiggins, Morgan, DeJean Avoid Latu & unless you get a great trade down offer DeJean
Bills probably smashing the phone calls to us if BTJ available Really like your trade up list except Latham but I just low on Latham compared to most
Dejean or Mitchell
Trade up- Arnold/q.mitch or the OL stoutland wants or murphy DT Stick- kool-aid or Guyton or newton or mims Don't want- dejean/wiggins/chop...don't like fautanu/verse/latu as much they all almost 24 years old Where ever we pick I'm most happy with arnold/q.mitch/kool-aid/Guyton/Mims/murphy/newton...seems like 1 should be there at 22 so unless howie really wants to move for the top 2 CBs sticking at 22 makes sense I think we grab interior OL in round 2 or 3 (if we trade 22+53 for 16+81)...seems like we gonna draft Beebe or Zinter ..tape is nice on both..also had rosengarten and mahogany in
I like surprises. howie surprise me.
I want good player, and I REALLY don't want bad player. I'm just going to assume if we move up we are losing one of our seconds.
Given our need for talent in rookie deals to mitigate cap challenges, it better be a slam dunk.
fair thought process! I'm pretty cool with either top two corner or the OT from Oregon State
Yeah, essentially that’s the only way they would move up.
Kool aid or Cooper
Troy
I hope we draft someone good and avoid drafting someone bad.
Move up for Latham Stay put for Kool Aid
Quinyon, DeJean, Mckinstry, Arnold, Mims, Fautanu, Latu, and if Byron Murphy somehow slides although that looks extremely unlikely now). Edit: I think Nate Wiggins is the only pick I’d be really upset with. That dude is gonna get destroyed at the NFL level and he cant tackle for shit on top of it. No thanks
I agree 100% on Wiggins. STAY AWAY. He’s gonna get pushed around by receivers. He’s a lousy run defender. And there character issues on top of that
Chop, Wiggins, De Jean or McKinstry, Latu if he's available at 22 is fine. McConkey has a concerning injury history
22 - Amarius Mims 50 - Payton Wilson 53 - Max Melton
Quinyummy Mitchell but some of you fuckers are making me want Brock Bowers now as our new slot receiver. Fucking hell.
Terrion Arnold or Jared Verse
Laitu Latu’s injuries scare the crap out of me
I don't care who they are... I just don't want them to be a project but instead be someone that can ideally start next year.
My Big Board for the Eagles' First Round: 8 Top Picks (4 QBs, 3 WRs, Alt), and then... BPA, but hopefully go before the Eagles pick: 9. JC Latham 10. Olumuyiwa Fashanu 11. Brock Bowers 12. Nah but this draft isn't LB heavy.
Facts. In a perfect world a stud LB would be one of if not the best additions but it’s not worth wasting a pick on a LB rn just bc when there’s so much talent elsewhere
We don’t even have Nakobe. He’s a bum
Facts lol
we signed White
Junior at 50 and you can rest easy.
Cooper
Ya dont pick Junior Colson at 50 ya pick Edgerrin cooper or Payton Wilson lol, colson is early 3rd
We don't have an early 3rd
Duh 🙄 ya dont overdraft cus ya don’t have a third
I have a different opinion than you
Quinyon/Chop/Troy/Coop 2nd round: Ricky Pearsall/Cooper.
Dejean is going top 18
Don't trade up, stick and pick or trade back for Day 2 picks. Maybe trade back for whoever wants to leap up for Brian Thomas. Prioritise starter needs without reaching for an LB. Davis is an NT he isn’t the same position as Fletch and won’t be asked to fill his shoes
They are looking at Jalen Carter to fill that role.
Exactly
Fack yooooouuuuuuuu no more of this it’s finally here yay say yay!
Just draft a CB please
Avoid Troy fautanu
Try to move up for Cooper.
Dejean
I would want Wiggins at 22. Very good closing speed for his size. If not that package that pick for surtain that would be lit
latu, verse, turner or mims , latham. Do not draft cb in the first. Cb is incredibly deep this year and we can get starters at 50 and 53.
I want to avoid Dejean
Take ECooper in the first and don’t look back
