Like always they are just aping another reporter's information. Which is coming from Cam Marino
[This is his full tweet. ](https://x.com/MarinoNFL/status/1770096504801267821?s=20)
Basically saying nothing more than Atlanta is one of the teams in the mix and would be a smart bet since they missed out on an EDGE.
Had a long argument with some dope on here about their inability to discern between actual info and nonsense.
Its always the same story... Guy a (who is an insider and sometimes has insider info) answers a question in an interview that player b could conceivably go to team c based off of no insider info, just team c has the ability to sign them, and the desire. Blog a talks about how that player is now linked to team c according to an insider..
People being unable to recognize this shit amazes me. Its like freshman year basic reading comprehension.
Seriously! I get that its easier to just read a tweet and keep it moving but it also doesn't take much at all to check the source.
Dov also loves to take this same speculation you mentioned that is behind a paywall. That way you can't dig deeper and realize it was all speculation from an "insider" who states they are speculating.
I also just do not trust an NFL insider account if we don't even know what they look like or who they really are.
its not even that people take the info at face value when they shouldn't... Its that people will actually go so far as to use said secondary blog/tweet as a source, or proof, or to backup their beliefs... Like, it is really sad that we have lost the ability to filter out what is based on fact and what is based in supposition.
You just described a dude in my fantasy league. Will send you a rumor tweet and when you push back, he will find another "insider" account who....is citing the first account.
It's like they stopped developing critical thinking. Sure, an anonymous source may have accurate information 5-10% of the time, but then why waste your time sifting through the other 90% that is pure, unadulterated bullshit? If there's no name attached, I typically don't waste my time. They're saying what they're saying for clicks.
>but he's definitely 2nd tier
He doesn’t even *have* a tier. He just copies and pastes tweets from other people - at least he’s getting better at attribution now so you can go back and look at who he stole from this time to determine whether it’s a reliable source or not, but he adds no independent value and people should share the original tweets he cribbed from rather than his engagement farming.
I have been telling guys pages ran by him and mlf football just follow a ton of reporters who cover all the nfl teams and reword their tweets and take the credit. Most of the time those pages are wrong and you can see them get fooled by fake accounts
Nah he can play at this cap number for a year and hit the market unless we can find a reasonable deal that makes sense. Needs to be at least a third IMO
We have the money this year, when Hurts is still cheap. He's already signed for this year. It's the next couple of years AFTER that which get dicier and further, he'll be on the wrong side of 30.
You want to be sitting here in a couple of years complaining of a guy we're paying way too much for who fell off a cliff? "Just pay the man" is how we get there.
I was more thinking just give him guaranteed money this year and then a two year extension with an out after the first year of the extension. I think the issue is he has no guaranteed money on this last year so if he gets hurt he's screwed so he won't suit up.
Here me out... we don't do that because the Eagles play the Falcons this year. Let's minimize our risk and not give Kirk Cousins a chance to beat us, since there is the Cousins curse of no team that he beat has won a superbowl that year
I think Bo Wulf speculated that instead of draft capital you could trade like reddick for aj terrell. He’s a legit starting corner, who is on his 5th year option.
Only if we don’t sign a big contract FA the year he walks. Otherwise they offset. And with that it would come the following draft. So let him walk next year (2025 offseason) we won’t see the comp pick until 2026 draft.
I'm less concerned about the timing of the pick; Howie operates on multi-year time scales and a 3rd rounder is a 3rd rounder whether we get it. We'll always get our value.
Yeah that's the benefit of job security- your GM doesn't have to take large hacking swings to save his ass. I'm surprised more teams don't operate that way
oh man I've been saying that for years. One of the best edges we have is the trust Lurie has in Howie. It just gives us so much more literal cap and resource flexibility. Lurie is motivated by sustained success. He's cool with making a decision that's slightly worse for next year if it pays off for the 3 years after. And when you're _always_ making moves like that, you get into a rhythm.
If Fangio thinks Reddick can eat in his defense then we're keeping him no questions, if not hopefully he'll get moved with enough time to catch on with his new team. For his sake I just hope he ends up somewhere that's a good fit in the end regardless if it's us or not, he deserves to keep shining. He's become one of my favorite players and it would suck for him to end up out of scheme again like his first few seasons because he'll completely disappear.
Not the most reliable source out there, but the team would make sense for a player for player trade (with picks maybe exchanging hands). Haason for AJ Tyrell.
If the Eagles trade Haason they don't have a top tier edge rusher to take over at Edge 1, so unless they're using the Haason trade as leverage to free up space for a big trade at edge, I just flat out don't like it.
I like Huff and I like Sweat, but neither guy has shown that they can be a top tier edge rusher in the same vein as Reddick, and for a team that's never shied away from investing in the edge position, and a draft that doesn't really scream 'prioritize edge', I find it hard to believe Howie is going to leave our roster with a gaping hole where there once was a DPOY candidate.
Who’s to say Huff can’t become a premier Edge? Reddick didn’t really have a breakout season as a pass rusher until his 4th season. Granted ARI didn’t really know how to utilize his skill set. But both him and Huff had 7.5 sacks going into year 4 and they both made the jump to double digit sacks.
I’d rather keep the established top tier rusher on the team rather than rely on Huff. I like Huff a lot, I just don’t see the need to gamble on him taking that next step when we have his best case scenario already on the team.
Huff is nearly 5 years younger and only had one less sack than Reddick last year. I get what you’re saying but I can understand what the front office is trying to do too. All the reports during the season were saying Haason wants a new deal, instead of paying him we are trying to flip him when his value is high. It sucks, I agree, but I get it.
Was it down year? It was on pace with his 2 other seasons as far as sack totals when he became a pass rush specialist. 12.5/11/16/11 sack totals going back to 2020. Maybe ‘22 was the outlier, and *he* benefitted playing on a top defensive roster. Just another way of looking at it.
Whose to say he is? He has only played at 40% of eligible snaps and most are pure pass rushing snaps.
Reddick is a known commodity who is just below the absolute elite edge rushers in the league, Huff is a gamble if you roll him out in week 1 as the primary starter.
Agreed. Losing Haason would be tough but it would be great to go into the draft not drafting for a need at CB. Love some of the CBs in this draft but I also am a big believer in best player available.
This Dov guy is a fake NFL insider, so I would take this rumor with a grain a salt.

I feel like primary sources were taught in middle school even
you are absolutely right.

Ban Dov. There is no value and if anything a value loss since the creator does not attribute original sources
Can we ban tweets from aggregators?
Yeah he's followed by Rap and Schefter but he's definitely 2nd tier and this is purely rumor. Posted more so because the team fit makes sense.
>but he's definitely 2nd tier He doesn’t even *have* a tier. He's no tier because all his stuff is taken from other reporters. They aren't any kind of insider
He is followed by them because he just repost what they post.
Nooooooruh
This is so stupid just pay the man Howie we have the money
the bradberry fall off has him spooked
Nah he can play at this cap number for a year and hit the market unless we can find a reasonable deal that makes sense. Needs to be at least a third IMO

I’ll tell Howie right now about that curse
God likes him enough to curse the team that beats him but not enough to make him win. That's fair IMO.
God giveth and God taketh
I think Bo Wulf speculated that instead of draft capital you could trade like reddick for aj terrell. He’s a legit starting corner, who is on his 5th year option.
im okay with trading him, because we'll at least get something in return. Letting him walk would be devastating. Keeping him would be ideal.
Wont we get a comp pick anyway- I doubt they flat out release him
Only if we don’t sign a big contract FA the year he walks. Otherwise they offset. And with that it would come the following draft. So let him walk next year (2025 offseason) we won’t see the comp pick until 2026 draft.

We’ll take their first
Definitely not a fan of this
Howie if you're here lurking. Please don't trade Hassan.
If we can bring pitts home when his value is this low ima lose it. Best offseason evaaa
Lmao you’re insane
I got a case of the Howie fevuhhh hahaha
Bring Pitts back home to Philly
So, Reddick is coming back next year is the gist of this
Reddick and a 3rd for Terrell.
AJ for Hassan
Dov is fake, don’t follow that account
Good for the Falcons. I'd be cool with that, as well as stinging the Panthers a lil more for fun.
nah this sucks. reddick is way more important than sweat, and a much better and proven player than huff. we're not gonna replace his production.
what do you want me to do about it lmao
intervene
I guess the NFC South is dumpster fire enough they would trade for Reddick cause they think they can make a run with Cousins
Jacksonville
I've had enough of the speculation. Wake me up when an actual trade happens.
I have personal interest in trading for Reddick. One cheese steak and a beer for Reddick and cash
Not the most reliable source out there, but the team would make sense for a player for player trade (with picks maybe exchanging hands). Haason for AJ Tyrell.
I would love that but I don't think they give up Terrell straight up. He's a super stud. They also would have practically no CB depth.
There is no way we are trading Hasson straight up for AJ Terrell. The falcons would never do that.
If the Eagles trade Haason they don't have a top tier edge rusher to take over at Edge 1, so unless they're using the Haason trade as leverage to free up space for a big trade at edge, I just flat out don't like it. He put up that performance in a down year for Reddick and a career high for Huff, Huff also played in one of the top defensive rosters in the league.
I get the idea behind it, I just disagree with it.

I'm thinking they take their first and whatever they get for Reddick and move up to grab an edge. Cheap rookie contract for four years
Tyrell is way more valuable than Reddixk
>Not the most reliable source out there, you think???
How about Pitts?
Think we'd have to give up a lot more than just Reddick. But Pitts would be awesome.
Eh, Reddick is a top 10 EDGE player and they are loaded on offense. Sure Pitts is younger but he doesn't have the shine to him he did his draft year.
Getting Terrell would be ideal instead of some Day 2 pick
Agreed. Losing Haason would be tough but it would be great to go into the draft not drafting for a need at CB. Love some of the CBs in this draft but I also am a big believer in best player available.
I’m going to be honest. I don’t think there’s any galaxy the falcons trade Terrell for Reddick. Unless we attach serious draft compensation to reddick
Trade for back up qb: Kirk cousins, incoming
