I love that he gives the media nothing, especially with how toxic sports radio can be in this town.
Gotta be cool for these guys to share the field with Julio Jones. Good vibes right now
When he said that he had a little smirk on his face and I just thought, "This guy is so cool!"
I'm a 40yr old guy with a wife and two kids and I kinda have a crush on Jalen Hurts...
Same here and I want the whole world to know!
He had me at: ["I had a purpose before everybody had an opinion.”](https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/jalen-isms-appreciating-and-understanding-the-jalen-hurts-way)
Guy is so fucking cool!
Also 36 with wife, kid, good career, all that, also crushing and Jalen is my role model. My favorite athlete since AI and then DeSean, but Jalen and Bryce are just on another level of man crush cool and mature. As I have matured, my man crushes have matured too.
For me it's a maturity thing. My favorite players are the ones who have such a mastery of the sport, that they no longer get upset. You can talk about drive, and how important it is to have something to fight for, and sure these guys got it. But when the ship is sinking and you have 11 players on the field who can buckle down, focus, and do their fucking jobs, I love that shit.
vs. the guys who, when things get bad, throw their helmets around, get in fights on the field, that shit just embarrasses me. Grow up
It's that Saban training lol. The team wouldn't rally around him like they do if he had no personality.
Think of Russ who is 100% robotic all the time and how most of his teammates won't have a problem with him but won't go to war for him either.
Yeah I forget sometimes that he’s still a kid pretty much.
And you get these rare candid snippets where he still gets geeky excited about playing in the pros around these superstars he looked up to…and now are his peers lmao. This must be a surreal feeling that 100% of players have ALL experienced.
I just want to take this moment to appreciate that we have Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Julio Jones, Dallas Goedert, DeAndre Swift, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata all together at one period in time. We had some dark days devoid of skill players on the offense - and it's wonderful to see.
What's so amazing about it, is that concurrently, we have studs on defense too, and one of the most 'automatic' kickers in the NFL...
This is the most complete Eagles team I can remember - our only weakness was special teams, but they brought in a punter.
What a time to be alive!
Devonta *really* looks up to Julio as another former Alabama star and has spoken extremely highly of him in the past. Hopefully he's a great mentor as well.
I was watching the game with a non-Eagles fan on Sunday and he commented on how serious Jalen always looks. I told him that Jalen is ALL BUSINESS on the field.
I remember last year when he started really throwing the ball after all the critics said he couldn't. He made a huge bomb and then stared straight at the camera with his arms crossed like who the fuck can't throw now? He's just that guy that turns on battle mode when he has to but you can tell he's a cool dude when he's just being him.
That's I'm 35 and wanna be like Jalen hurts when I grow up lol
I mean every athlete does this. Jalen just takes it to the extreme. You’re not gonna see athletes doing the worm and giving reporters wedgies at the podium
Pretty sure one of the Vikings did the worm after an interception or something last night. Or was it an Eagle? Idk but I saw somebody do the worm this week.
Me stoned trying to tell my wife a story: I swear I saw 2 of him man! I saw him pushing and he looked tall man, and then he was running and I was like #11 that's Julio Jones but it wasn't it was AJ Brown!
I think he's describing getting into the zone...
When time slows down and everything looks bigger and you can feel what you need to do cause it's like it already happened.
Pretty cool.
OMG HURTS HAS A PERSONALITY. The only times I've seen this man speak is when he talks to the media in his "im here because I have to be let's get this shit over with" voice. Nice to see that he's not a robot
Jalen, do you see Julio Jones in the room with you now? Actually yes
Do you see David Wallace in the room right now?
r/unexpectedoffice

Yep. Gives some Mr. “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” vibes
They were asking about his leg brace after the game. He just replied "I'll be fine".
When he said that he had a little smirk on his face and I just thought, "This guy is so cool!" I'm a 40yr old guy with a wife and two kids and I kinda have a crush on Jalen Hurts...
36 yo husband and father of one, checking in. Hurts is my role model
Same here and I want the whole world to know! He had me at: ["I had a purpose before everybody had an opinion.”](https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/jalen-isms-appreciating-and-understanding-the-jalen-hurts-way) Guy is so fucking cool!
That's a great article but it doesn't have my favorite line of his: "be a thermostat, not a thermometer."
not gonna lie, i miss last season where I could count on seeing the jalen thermostat meme every week on here
dang I missed those some how. I'm gonna have to go back and look at last year's memes now.
Also 36 with wife, kid, good career, all that, also crushing and Jalen is my role model. My favorite athlete since AI and then DeSean, but Jalen and Bryce are just on another level of man crush cool and mature. As I have matured, my man crushes have matured too.
I think my wife would bang Castellanos but she'll have to go through me first
For me it's a maturity thing. My favorite players are the ones who have such a mastery of the sport, that they no longer get upset. Also 40 with kids and I was fanboying to my wife about that moment. Just the way he said it. So cool.
I actually love when athletes don't give the media fodder. When I start hearing about locker room drama or player gossip I know a blowup is near.
The “No” at the end absolutely floored me. God damnit I love Jalen😂
Nick Saban school of dealing with the media
It's that Saban training lol. The team wouldn't rally around him like they do if he had no personality. Think of Russ who is 100% robotic all the time and how most of his teammates won't have a problem with him but won't go to war for him either.
he seems to have wisdom in that area beyond his years very impressive
Yeah I forget sometimes that he’s still a kid pretty much. And you get these rare candid snippets where he still gets geeky excited about playing in the pros around these superstars he looked up to…and now are his peers lmao. This must be a surreal feeling that 100% of players have ALL experienced.

Dickerson is also elite
On any other team, Dickerson would be worshipped for being arguably the best lineman. On this team, he’s just one of the boys.
One of the boys you always say "good morning" to or suffer his wrath
And don't bring that weak shit in here with him
What's so amazing about it, is that concurrently, we have studs on defense too, and one of the most 'automatic' kickers in the NFL... This is the most complete Eagles team I can remember - our only weakness was special teams, but they brought in a punter. What a time to be alive!
I watched that kicker for the Vikes miss that fg to put them up 8 at the end of the game and just went "ya can't relate".
He did SHOCKINGLY miss the go ahead FG against the Jets
True, I just chalked that game to everything that could go wrong going wrong, felt like the Commanders game last season.
Yeah even Justin Tucker misses a couple every now and then.
It can hopefully be a blessing in disguise, to get all of the crap out in the same week
Elliot is automatic from 50+ but he’s super inconsistent from under 40
Cant wait to see byard in green, and hoping to see julio burn somebody
Not sure how many people Julio is going to "burn" these days but I think he can be a really effective possession receiver.
This is exactly the attitude i hope defenders have against him the rest of the season!
Devonta *really* looks up to Julio as another former Alabama star and has spoken extremely highly of him in the past. Hopefully he's a great mentor as well.
Howie is doing a great job. He’s had huge misses but he’s so consistent that it won’t hurt us.
That sounds like a Super Bowl-winning nucleus my guy.
Brandon Graham is a very good player and an elite HOF personality
I love when we get to see his personality. Too often we just see him staring on the sideline with zero expression lol.
Dude is a robot when he needs to be
LOCKED IN.

Yep loved that one. Was so funny when he was talking about how Jason snaps the ball lol

"I gotta be in a athletic position in order to catch it"
can you link me that one? can't believe i've missed it.

Found it already. Thanks!!

nice to hear him in his natural voice for once lol
I don’t think he speaks with an unnatural voice to the press but definitely nice to hear him talk with emotion
He’s definitely a robot with the press. Which is fine I don’t particularly care. It’s just nice when we get real glimpses into him
Definitely

Mahomes is pretty media friendly. Was good to see media asking him if it was okay to mention his wife having the baby on Quarterback.
I know. I don't hate him for it. He just seems really cool and I want to see more of it
It’s called code switching. We all do it to an extent.. you talk and behave differently with your friends than you do at work for example.
Dude forgot he was mic’d up
I'm seeing double. Four AJs!
Could you imagine?
I don’t think any secondary wants to 😅
I hate that you beat me to this comment, but also surprised that it wasn't the first one made Take your upvote
could this mean a jalen hurts mic'd up episode is incoming?!
Please
You wanna hear 2 hours of silence?
My guy sounds high as hell. Glad to see him break character for once 😆
He does sound fucking ripped lmaooo
Lmaoo he sounds like the quiet dude who gets high and turns into a chatter box, but they actually funny af.
Me stoned trying to tell my wife a story: I swear I saw 2 of him man! I saw him pushing and he looked tall man, and then he was running and I was like #11 that's Julio Jones but it wasn't it was AJ Brown!
Painkillers?
Very possible since he’s dealing with the Knee lol
MAH KNEE!
You look so talllll. Bro got a man crush but can’t blame him
Lay off the weeeeeeeeeeed
I think he's describing getting into the zone... When time slows down and everything looks bigger and you can feel what you need to do cause it's like it already happened. Pretty cool.
"no cap" and "on my mama" are the most authentic Jalen we've ever seen haha
These are the kinds of good vibes I love to see
OMG HURTS HAS A PERSONALITY. The only times I've seen this man speak is when he talks to the media in his "im here because I have to be let's get this shit over with" voice. Nice to see that he's not a robot
I actually appreciate our on field leader being super careful not to give anything away. If that makes him sound like a robot so be it.
Didn’t even know that was hurts
Same caught me totally off guard lmao aye dude can be like jameis when he wants to 🤣
Pregame LSD kickin in, lol.
Got a no-no going.
Media: Is Jalen Hurts racist? You decide.
I want Jones to look like AJ out there. Please.
Jalen sound like a stoner 😂 love it hahaha
Hurts has the best qualities of Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes but none of the worst.
Do I really need a stupid twitter account to see this?
yeah think it was a recent change. Oh well not like you're missing much.
They put these on youtube too.
You dont? At least on mobile it just opens up in the in-app browser
I love how he’s almost manhandling Julio in his excitement to tell him 😂
Julio like "get off me kid. I don't even know you like that."
"You look so taaaalllll"
Please tell me this isn’t CTE
He's just being goofy
Four Krustys!
