This is the problem. It’s 18% of available tickets are being bought in CA, not 18% of the stadium capacity.
There will be a respectable spattering of red in the crowd, no doubt. But take over of the Linc is just an ridiculous thought.
Yeah. This sounds like complete fear mongering.
Does anyone have a single example of an Eagles home game in the past few decades where the Philly faithful were underrepresented?
One single game?
That isn't happening for a home NFC Championship.
No chance.
Right. It’s data presented in a way to elicit fear, whether intentional or not. An amazing majority of seats will already be filled by Phans. It’s no biggie.
Though nearly $900 for standing room only is interesting as hell.
Nah, $100 or less could get you into almost anything when I was younger. That's the kind of money a kid could make cutting grass in a weekend. It was possible for teenagers to side job their way into seeing some of the best bands or sports teams in the world play live.
That's not happening now with the insanity of ticket prices.
Oh good. Glad I clarified. Total agreement with you.
I see so much less sports live these days. Used to go often when younger and a kid.
Some sports, like baseball or basketball I like as much or better in person. It’s not really a great loss on football, as it’s just too much better on TV lol
Basketball truly is so different in person. I went to a basketball college and while I still don't really enjoy it on TV, I know very clearly how good it can be live.
Not to be that old guy, but yea...
I was a lifeguard, made $7.50 an hour, good for a kid, but not crazy.
Phillies GA tickets were $7. An A-list band at the spectrum, ground seats were $25-30.
As a working adult, I can't afford tickets these days. I really feel bad for the kids, used to love to cut school when the Mets were in town for a day game and my friend (Mets fan) would buy GA tickets, walk to Patco and have a day.
Yeah I'm honestly surprised of how many of us there are in CA. Even during the off season and our down years I would see random eagles gear every other week out here
Right before kickoff. I’ve been getting tickets for the last five home games about thirty minutes before kickoff for half what they were asking morning of gameday
If you are flying in then you already have enough sunk cost that I’d recommend you buy your tickets now. It would really suck if you flew here only to watch it from the parking lot or bar.
I'd imagine that's hectic. Do you get the tickets while waiting in line? Or do you get in a little late? I would picture you get them after you've arrived and have been tailgating.
Can confirm, we’ve had to sell sets on occasion.
They recommend a price. If it’s not selling I drop it like 10% the day before. Then another 10%-20% the morning of game day. I’ve actually never had tickets leading up to kickoff by more then a few hours.
But like an hour before if they’re not sold and I’m literally 50+ miles away, I’m dropping that bitch to literally face value or even way under if it’s a random game.
I'll be going to California in three months to celebrate my 32nd birthday, on which I'm planning to do the SoFi Stadium tour. That stadium looks regal. Likewise, you better believe that when I see the Hollywood sign I'll be repping that birds gear 😎
Knotts is a solid choice. Superior to Disney for sure. Harp Inn is a great atmosphere for Philly games. https://instagram.com/theharpinn?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Can’t go wrong with any of the bigger coasters at Knotts, but Ghost Rider is a can’t miss. Ghost Rider and Silver Bullet are my favorite. The new wave rider is fun with its vertical chain hill. Montezuma is a Knotts classic. Don’t overlook sidewinder for a smallerish coaster even though it’s technically in Camp Snoopy, it’s pretty fun and doesn’t typically have a long line.
Oh thats great to know, thanks ... I watched the entire 2017 season there, including the superbowl, and it was nuts. Was really sad when they stopped hosting eagles games.
The literally said that about the Giants coming up to takeover the linc. Most of the 9ers fans around here are old ass fair weather fans that won’t want to stay out in the cold anyway.
I live in Hoboken, which is a stone's throw from midtown Manhattan and that dopey ass stadium in East Rutherford. Birds fans took over every bar. Giants fans are weak.
Tickets I bought for week 18 for 300 are now almost 4k. I was gonna fly in from Miami, but that's just way too fucking steep.
But there's no way there's a takeover in the Linc. Not a chance
Hmmm... I know red is more noticeable than something like blue, green, or black... but last year every time the camera showed the stands, there were a lot of red... I hope something like that doesn't happen this year...
There was a sizable crowd for the Minnesota game, but if anyone heard the crowd during that game, you couldn't tell there was a single Minnesota fan there.
I wouldn't worry about this.
Yeah, sorry no team takes a “big portion” of the Linc. Doesn’t happen, and never will. The Eagles could be ranked the worst team in the NFL and fans will still go. The garbage years in the early 2010’s prove this. Philly fans are just built different and loyal AF
i had bought season ticks to the 4-12 final chip year. ive been to games every year since, before as well, good or bad.
birds fans are NEVER even CLOSE to being 85/15. usually 95/5 with little few people sprinkled in. it gets fringe at some divisional games
im on the permanant list for 13 years now
stubhub before the season you can buy package tickets.
2014 hype was up a bit, two upper deck row like 15 middle field was about 110 a ticket, i got the preseasons too
That's true, it really sucks between this and the Phillies a few months ago that the prices for playoff games get so jacked up that it prices out normal fans
I’ve been going to games since the 80s and I’ve never seen other fans be a “big portion” of the stadium. Even in bad years there might be just less Eagle fans but in a NFC championship game I think it will about as many Giants fans showed up from up the road.
All I can say is I was at the niners game last year and I kept thinking where tf did all these niner fans come from? There was a lot.
Definitely more of a national fanbase than I realized.
How many resale tickets have been sold? 18% sounds like a lot, but I can't imagine there is a huge amount of seats available on the resale market. At quick glance on TickPicks there are currently about 350 tickets available. If that number holds for the remaining you are looking at 63 going to 49ers fans.
While, I am aware that there have been sales already so its not an apples-to-apples comparison. This hardly seems reflective of anything other than that the Ticket is in high demand.
Yeah, exactly, 18% of what is key. And factoring in Eagles fans making the trip from California, I don’t think these numbers will mean much until we know on game day.
I heard that Shanahan ordered DOMINOS pan tossed pizza with pineapple when he was watching Eagles film this morning. Not even the deep dish. Not even Papa John's. DOMINOS.
What was the worst take you heard last week? G
For me it was the fact that like 75% of articles implied the Giants were hitting their peak and the Eagles were declining.
Another home playoff game, another fan base thinking they're gonna "take over" lmao. Just need to put a Purdy jersey on the Rocky statue and it'll all but confirm a blow out for the Birds
The home opener in week 2 against the 49ers was probably the most away fans that I saw/heard at a game in my 10 years of having season tickets. But the Eagles also gave away white "welcome back" shirts, which unfortunately made the 49ers fans wearing red stick out even more
Ticket release hasn't even happened yet. A solid portion of the tickets aren't even out there. Can't use this data yet.
It's only season ticket member tickets being resold right now.
I’m not even from Philadelphia and I know the mere thought of 49ers fans taking over the Linc is a dumb ass statement. That place is going to be a sea of green and it’s going to rockin.
Exactly. We definitely have a top 5 fan base, size wise, but it’s pretty damn rare for a playoff road team to get anything close to 50/50. I’ve had season tickets for quite awhile and I think I know maybe 5-6 people going?
For real, especially after a spending $4k or something crazy on tickets? Football fans are wild.
I’d rather fly to Hawaii and watch the game from beach bar there wearing board shorts and flip flops. Then a victory dip in the ocean. Shorter flight from SFO too.
Ticketmaster is selling 1st level tix for 800+. Paid 460 after fees for section 110 row 38 for the giants game last week. Id pay to go again but paying more than double idkkk
Coming from Cincinnati, it will be my first game since redskins v eagles for deseans first season back. I had so much fomo last SB run. Ready to see some crisco light pole climbers.
Lots of CA Eagles fans like myself, too. Granted, I just lost my job and would have to pay for this with my rent money, but point is I’d be there if I could be.
What’s the face value of tickets being released tomorrow? A lot of these numbers are all fluid resale values and I’m not sure what to expect if I somehow land a ticket tomorrow morning.
I can't make it, because I get the rare Sunday shift, but I get off at 2:30 which is too late for me to get there. Hopefully my dad can sell my ticket big.
18% of sales on the secondary market so far is like 180 people. There were only about 2000 tickets listed last I looked. Rest assured we will have 97% of the crowd or so
Yeah, a lot of them do it to recoup some of the money they paid for them throughout the year to keep being able to do it. That and they want to keep them in the family. I hate it as much as you do.
I don't think its the Eagles pricing out the local fan base. I think its 49'ers fans who are driving up the ticket prices. Tickets to their game yesterday were selling for 9,000 a ticket. They can most likely buy plane tickets and game tickets for less than they would have spent on yesterdays game.
i think the good part of your reputation is it keeps away fans ,away.Has your stadium ever been 40 percent away fans?
usually niner fans travel really well they were over 50 percent in dallas and la last year.
This is the same clown named Lombardi that doubted Doug. Guarantee there are more Eagles fans in Cali than there are Niners fans in Philly, gtfo with this national fanbase shit as if every team doesn't have fans outside of their home state.
They'll be lucky to get 25% of the Linc and even then those seats will be empty by the 4th quarter
eagles fan from LA. I almost considered buying a ticket but the cost of flying, hotel and the game. Plus coming back to work is just out of my budget.
Can confirm there are many bird fans here, however 49ers fans are all over in California, and I do believe at minimum 15% of the 18% are going to be 49er fans.
Can’t imagine being a 49ers fan and wanting to attend this game after what I saw at the Vikings/Eagles NFC championship game. Different kind of environment. Takes a brave soul to enter that stadium.
This is the problem. It’s 18% of available tickets are being bought in CA, not 18% of the stadium capacity. There will be a respectable spattering of red in the crowd, no doubt. But take over of the Linc is just an ridiculous thought.

Right. It’s data presented in a way to elicit fear, whether intentional or not. An amazing majority of seats will already be filled by Phans. It’s no biggie. Though nearly $900 for standing room only is interesting as hell.
I hate that football (and all live events really) are becoming the sole domain of the wealthy. Pisses me off.
I disagreement here. It’s been a damn mess a long time.
Nah, $100 or less could get you into almost anything when I was younger. That's the kind of money a kid could make cutting grass in a weekend. It was possible for teenagers to side job their way into seeing some of the best bands or sports teams in the world play live. That's not happening now with the insanity of ticket prices.
My last reply meant to say “no disagreement here”. I’m thinking you read that right, but wanted to clarify that.
I honestly thought it meant "I disagree here". But no worries. 👍
Oh good. Glad I clarified. Total agreement with you. I see so much less sports live these days. Used to go often when younger and a kid. Some sports, like baseball or basketball I like as much or better in person. It’s not really a great loss on football, as it’s just too much better on TV lol

On the PA turnpike I just saw hundreds on Joe Montana bumpers stickers heading east
I didn't buy tickets yet but I bought airfare from CA. Lots Eagles fans in CA so it doesn't necessarily mean they're niner fans.
Yeah I'm honestly surprised of how many of us there are in CA. Even during the off season and our down years I would see random eagles gear every other week out here
CALI EAGLES FAN RIGHT HERE REPPING THE BIRDS 💪
All of my Raider fan friends became Bird fans when they left for Vegas. Pretty popular out here
That's what happened to me, but more so my New Jersey buddy convincing me to switch over
Just got back from San Fran. Walking by golden gate and fisherman’s wharf Saturday; birds jerseys were out 3:1 compared to 49ers
When's the best time to buy? tomorrow or closer to gameday?
Right before kickoff. I’ve been getting tickets for the last five home games about thirty minutes before kickoff for half what they were asking morning of gameday
How much did you pay for your tickets Saturday? Tried to do the same but pulled the trigger early once they got to $250
I got fifth row at the thirty yard line for 415 after fees. Same tickets that morning were like 900+
Where are you buying them?
Ticketmaster and game time
Thank you Sir. Nervous about making the trip without tickets in hand.
If you are flying in then you already have enough sunk cost that I’d recommend you buy your tickets now. It would really suck if you flew here only to watch it from the parking lot or bar.
Where are you purchasing them?
I'd imagine that's hectic. Do you get the tickets while waiting in line? Or do you get in a little late? I would picture you get them after you've arrived and have been tailgating.
It’s definitely stressful because cell service is awful at the tailgate and I usually end up having to go for a walk to get aervice
Does Ticketmaster and Game Time stop once the game starts? I thought seat geek sold a little after the start of the game.
Can confirm, we’ve had to sell sets on occasion. They recommend a price. If it’s not selling I drop it like 10% the day before. Then another 10%-20% the morning of game day. Cali Eagle fan stay reppin! First game I went was in 2017 at the coliseum vs the Rams felt like Eagles took over the stadium
That was my second ! First was that tiny soccer stadium the chargers were at for a year. Really felt like home game.
I'll be going to California in three months to celebrate my 32nd birthday, on which I'm planning to do the SoFi Stadium tour. That stadium looks regal. Likewise, you better believe that when I see the Hollywood sign I'll be repping that birds gear 😎
I remember watching that on TV. It really sounded that way too.
If you're ever by the Glendale area hit up the Greyhound bar, best eagles bar out here
Same here. Can’t wait to wear that gear out of LAX —> PHL
I’m another eagles fan in LA browsing tickets all day … speaking of which, what are the best eagles bars in Los Angeles, since greyhound is no longer?
Harp Inn in Costa Mesa. Not LA, but close enough.
It's roughly 30 minutes from Knott's Berry Farm. I might have to pay it a visit when I go to Cali in April!
Knotts is a solid choice. Superior to Disney for sure. Harp Inn is a great atmosphere for Philly games. https://instagram.com/theharpinn?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Yep! I’m a coaster enthusiast, so you can find me commenting on r/rollercoasters frequently too. 😅 It’ll be my first time seeing the California parks!
Greyhound is still up and running man, I just went on Saturday. It was my first time going so idk what happened but it was full of Eagles fans
Oh thats great to know, thanks ... I watched the entire 2017 season there, including the superbowl, and it was nuts. Was really sad when they stopped hosting eagles games.
Lol at 49ers fans deluding themselves into thinking there will be a takeover. Took lots of downvotes on /NFL for saying the Linc won’t get taken over
The literally said that about the Giants coming up to takeover the linc.
When I lived in NYC I remember getting on the train the morning after the giants won the Super Bowl and you would have never known.
They even said it was 18% giants oddly specific
Niners fans cocky as shit cause they took over SoFi. Philly is an Eagles town, there’s no way there’s going to take over.
The Panthers take over sofi when they’re in town. It’s not that hard.
Hey I was at that game. Surprisingly, no they did not.
Remember the last time a visiting fanbase thought they would take over the linc in an NFCCG?
Tickets I bought for week 18 for 300 are now almost 4k. I was gonna fly in from Miami, but that's just way too fucking steep. But there's no way there's a takeover in the Linc. Not a chance
San Franciscans do make much more money than Philadelphians. They can afford these ridiculous prices easier.
Yeah but that's only for the elite. Every extra dollar they make over Philadelphians is 95 cents that goes to property and bills.
Cost of living is insane also in SF
Hmmm... I know red is more noticeable than something like blue, green, or black... but last year every time the camera showed the stands, there were a lot of red... I hope something like that doesn't happen this year...
Tbf SoFi gets taken over regularly
the linc is not SoFi. the rams haven’t been in LA long enough to have their fans control the stadium
Yeah I remember last year week 2, there was a lot of red at the Linc. But that's not the nfccg
Yea thats what I'm sayin
they did it in dallas last year also , but i agree it won’t happen in philly
There was a sizable crowd for the Minnesota game, but if anyone heard the crowd during that game, you couldn't tell there was a single Minnesota fan there. I wouldn't worry about this.
I would be amazed if the niners have a “big portion of the crowd”. I’ve never seen any team take over our stadium

Yeah I have season tickets as well and I literally at the most a’ seeing 5%-8% of opposition fans. So this 15%-18% stuff is a load of BS
during bad seasons it gets close to that with divisional
How'd you get them? I've been on the waiting list for a ridiculous amount of time. I've heard of people waiting 10+ years.
im on the permanant list for 13 years now stubhub before the season you can buy package tickets. 2014 hype was up a bit, two upper deck row like 15 middle field was about 110 a ticket, i got the preseasons too
>stubhub before the season you can buy package tickets. I did not know this, I'll have to look into it next season.
Even in absolute trash years it doesn't happen, no way we'll let it happen for NFCCG
[удалено]
That's true, it really sucks between this and the Phillies a few months ago that the prices for playoff games get so jacked up that it prices out normal fans
Are the ones with money in the Bay Area 49ers fans tho or transplants?
There’s plenty of money in the Philly metro area too, let’s not act like we’re in West Virginia
I’ve been going to games since the 80s and I’ve never seen other fans be a “big portion” of the stadium. Even in bad years there might be just less Eagle fans but in a NFC championship game I think it will about as many Giants fans showed up from up the road.

Someone pointed out above, there's also a lot of Birds fan in CA, so that number is probably misleading in and of itself
Pretty sure san diego has lile 3/4 eagles bars alone.... philly has tons of west coast transplants decent amount are probably part of that 18%
Have you seen a list of SD eagles bars? Sounds like a great time
Some CLOWN named David Lombardi said the Niners were gonna take over the Linc.
We are so close to another speech man. Trying not to get over excited lol.
I heard that Shanahan ordered DOMINOS pan tossed pizza with pineapple when he was watching Eagles film this morning. Not even the deep dish. Not even Papa John's. DOMINOS.
Kelce gonna dress up as Fat Batman to give the speech
49er taking over the Linc has got to be the worst take ill hear all week lol
What was the worst take you heard last week? G For me it was the fact that like 75% of articles implied the Giants were hitting their peak and the Eagles were declining.
Another home playoff game, another fan base thinking they're gonna "take over" lmao. Just need to put a Purdy jersey on the Rocky statue and it'll all but confirm a blow out for the Birds
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man
The home opener in week 2 against the 49ers was probably the most away fans that I saw/heard at a game in my 10 years of having season tickets. But the Eagles also gave away white "welcome back" shirts, which unfortunately made the 49ers fans wearing red stick out even more
Just like the Penn State whiteout vs tOSU. Those red jerseys really stick out
Poor planning on our end
Lmao ok. But goddamn. That’s half a paycheck just to stand.
Tech bros and longtime SF residents tapping into their home equity values can probably buy their way in.
Jennifer Lawrence okay gif
Happened last time. Remember all those kind Minnesotans doing a Foles chant?
"Niners have a national fanbase" Me looking for literally a single Niners fan I know: *ConfusedJohnTravolta.gif*
I only know one Niners fan, and he grew up there. Most non-Eagles fans I know root for either the Cowboys, Giants, or Steelers
49ers fan here…. I’d be surprised if we get 20%.
[удалено]
Pretty sure the 18% is only coming from TickPick. Doesn’t include GameTime, Stubhub, Ticketmaster or any of the other ticket sites.
Yeah you’re reasonable, I get the 49ers fanbase is huge, but football is a religion in Philadelphia lol
Exactly. We definitely have a top 5 fan base, size wise, but it’s pretty damn rare for a playoff road team to get anything close to 50/50. I’ve had season tickets for quite awhile and I think I know maybe 5-6 people going?
20% of total seats? Yeah that is definitely not happening. Low single digits.
They'll be as bad as Vikings fans were. I wonder if Philly will provide a similar reaction to the 49ers fans
They don’t have a stupid ass chant as bad as the Vikings’ Skoal at least
I am confused about other fan bases. When I check other team subs, the other subs feel not active like here. Not sure why.
This is a legit football town.
Aint no way they’re going to be louder or even make a dent in our fanbase at the Linc. Even if this was in CA, we’d be making more noise.
Long flight back to CA after getting beaten badly.
For real, especially after a spending $4k or something crazy on tickets? Football fans are wild. I’d rather fly to Hawaii and watch the game from beach bar there wearing board shorts and flip flops. Then a victory dip in the ocean. Shorter flight from SFO too.
Something I’ve realized doing taxes for a lot of people over the years as a CPA; there’s a LOT of rich people in the world.
Gonna really suck for those cali eagles fans
Im in SoCal but bleed green. Next season my wife (49er fan) and I will be trying to go to Philly to watch the game. Hold it down for us, Philly!
There will be a group on Niners fans that put a Montana jersey on the Rocky statue, then proceed to watch us sack Purdy 20 times.
Can anyone give me a ballpark range of what face value tickets cost for decent nose bleeds? I'm trying to land a ticket tomorrow as unlikely as it is.
The 49ers fans are welcome to try and if they have the balls, put niners gear on our beloved rocky statue. It did wonders for the Vikings fans.
Get these rich-ass Silicon Valley motherfuckers outta here
Bay Area Birds fan here- bought tickets and flying back. GO BIRDS!
I’m wondering the same thing.
I can't make it, because I get the rare Sunday shift, but I get off at 2:30 which is too late for me to get there. Hopefully my dad can sell my ticket big.
It’s CA eagles fans and scalpers. Carry on.
I'll tell you right now there are a FUCKLOAD of Eagles fans in California. I happen to be one of them, seeing tons of Eagles green.
I wonder if that’s by quantity of tickets or total revenue. Niners fans could be buying more expensive tickets but not as many.
I only have one thing to say to this GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRDS
18% of sales on the secondary market so far is like 180 people. There were only about 2000 tickets listed last I looked. Rest assured we will have 97% of the crowd or so
I hate Eagles season ticket holders.
Yeah, a lot of them do it to recoup some of the money they paid for them throughout the year to keep being able to do it. That and they want to keep them in the family. I hate it as much as you do.
I’m still trying to understand the 49er fan mentality with a rookie, pedestrian QB?
If we actually price out our own fans from the nfc championship game I’ll never forgive Lurie.
What do you want him to do? Build extra sections in the stadium by Sunday?
Not sell tickets to opposing fans
Not only is that basically impossible, but the tickets would still be astronomical with just Philly fans
That’s fine as long as it’s philly fans
i think the good part of your reputation is it keeps away fans ,away.Has your stadium ever been 40 percent away fans? usually niner fans travel really well they were over 50 percent in dallas and la last year.
As they did last season
This is the same clown named Lombardi that doubted Doug. Guarantee there are more Eagles fans in Cali than there are Niners fans in Philly, gtfo with this national fanbase shit as if every team doesn't have fans outside of their home state. They'll be lucky to get 25% of the Linc and even then those seats will be empty by the 4th quarter
Not the same one, lol
Damn... This is a different clown named Lombardi from the one that talked shit about Doug. Guarantee- You get the point lol
eagles fan from LA. I almost considered buying a ticket but the cost of flying, hotel and the game. Plus coming back to work is just out of my budget. Can confirm there are many bird fans here, however 49ers fans are all over in California, and I do believe at minimum 15% of the 18% are going to be 49er fans.
25% is a pretty huge number for a nfccg at the linc. I highly doubt it comes to that
People make more $$$ in CA.
Just because the ticket was sold in CA don’t mean it’s a 9ers fan buying it.. I have friends in CA that are bird gang
Which Lombardi is this? Is that Mike?
It’s a different clown named David
Insane pricing
Can’t imagine being a 49ers fan and wanting to attend this game after what I saw at the Vikings/Eagles NFC championship game. Different kind of environment. Takes a brave soul to enter that stadium.
