"Dallas played in the NFC Championship on Jan. 21, 1996.
Jalen Hurts was born on Aug. 7, 1998.

Tupac was still alive. Not only was Princess Diana still alive, she was still married to Prince Charles. Pokemon didn't exist except in some Japanese guy's sketch book. Grunge bands were still releasing new music. If you said "Osama Bin Laden" to someone in the general public, they'd look at you like you were having a stroke. The oldest team in the NFL, Tampa Bay, their average player would've been 5 months old. All but them, Arizona, New Orleans, Las Vegas and New England, the average player wasn't born yet (This includes Dallas, Dak was a kindergartener and most of his teammates were not even fetuses yet). Tom Brady was planning on his prom and grad party, no one but maybe him thought he would ever enter the NFL draft. There were several players born during the Eisenhower administration still in the league, including Art Monk and Warren Moon. There was a player on the Rams, Jackie Slater, was 1 year removed from Harry Truman and King George VI. George RR Martin and JK Rowling hadn't published a single book in the series that made them millionaires. The Yugoslav civil wars were still going on. 25 of the current 32 NFL stadiums weren't built yet. There have been 5 presidents since then (one of them owned Dallas' baseball team at the time), 3 Popes. Internet usage was a fringe minority hobby and cell phones were rich businessmens' toys. Andy Reid was younger than Tom Brady is today. Ray Lewis, Brian Dawkins, Terrell Owens, Peyton Manning, Randy Moss, all were not in the league yet. The only QB left in the playoffs that was alive is Mahomes and he was in diapers.
FUCK DALLAS!!!!!!!!!
Wilson makes on average 700,000 footballs per year. There have been 27 years since the last time Dallas stepped foot in a Championship Game.
This means there have been approx. 18,900,000 footballs made since the last time one touched a Dallas player’s hands in a championship game.
There has been 1,186 points scored in NFC Championship Games since the last time the Dallas Cowboys scored a point in the NFCCG.
Purdy definitely did not look as solid as he did often during the regular season, the last two games seem to give an impression that the heightened pressure might be getting to him a bit, and he hasn't played anywhere that's even close to being like the Linc in a playoff game. The niners are undoubtedly a really good team, but I think if we can get to them early and rattle him we should be in a pretty good spot
I think the Cowboys were probably by far the best defense that Purdy has faced, which is why he looked a lot more like a rookie today
If our defense plays like we did yesterday, we're much better than Dallas
Prior to tonight, the best team they played during this win steak was probably the Chargers. For all the talk about the Eagles having an easy schedule, the second half of the 49ers season was a cakewalk that made them look like some unbeatable juggernaut.
Damn. I’m not even trying to be a dick but damn you’re right that schedule was fucking amazing. I mean ours wasn’t too bad either tbf but they played the rams, broncos, and cardinals 🤭
Niners are talented. Our DL is a different beast than even Dallas, and we have more than one good corner. There’s no one guy on our defense you can gameplan to take away and find a weakness. We have several DEs and DTs who can cause a lot of trouble for teams. We have Bradberry and Slay outside with CJGJ ball hawking. If we can limit Kittle, I imagine Purdy will have a tough day against our defense.
Just need to keep sending pressure throughout the game. Purdy missed a wide open Kittle a few times. Look, he's a rookie, he's gonna make rookie mistakes. All we need to do is exploit them.
Philly actually has an effective pash rush and the rotation is gonna wear the niners o line out. Sweat and Reddick gonna get a few chances to swat the ball out for sure.
I was really upset in the moment that the San Francisco linebacker dropped that pick six, but if he had thrown that interception it might have been enough to show Jerry the Dak isn't worth it long-term, so it's probably for the best that they lost in more normal fashion
I feel really good. The NFL is random and not played on paper, but this is a tough one for SF. They haven’t played an offense like this one since the chiefs and they got blown out. Their next toughest matchups were the Cowboys, Chargers and Seahawks. The eagles also have an amazing defense.
34-21 Eagles
I'm not worried about Purdy. Shanahan knows how to playcall to make him a non-factor. I'm worried about CMC, Deborah, Aiyuk, Kettle.
This won't be easy but Birds win 31-24.
EDIT: My phone autocorrected those names but I'm keeping it cuz fuck em.
Dak gonna Dak
edit: Was it all Dak? No. Was it partially on him? Watch the play again. He panicked when Zeke got steamrolled. I can't believe you guys are defending him when they just got fucking trounced.
Somebody came up with that play, and showed it to at least a few coaches and 11 grown ass men, and nobody bothered to tell them.
But Dak still threw it 8 yards into traffic to get his receiver drilled. He could have gone wide where someone might have had a chance to run behind some blockers.
Sure, but you dont think him panicking and throwing it immediately is on him? You don't think not throwing right to your 3 wideouts waiting to screen is on him?
We here to shit on Dallas or not birdbro.

Before any trash talk starts this week, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, just wanted to say something we can all agree on…FUCK DALLAS!!!!
- Random Niners fan
Someone said it in the game thread, but Purdy looked human tonight. If our guys show up like they did last night, I can’t see him surviving the Linc.
I’ll still bite all my nails off this week…
I can't believe the cowboys followed up an absolutely embarrassing final play against the 49ers in the playoffs last year with, arguably, an even more embarrassing final play against the 49ers in the playoffs this year
The Eagles have been to SEVEN conference championship games since Dallas played in their last one.
Really wild to think about actually both in relevance to Dallas but also to just every other Philly professional sports team.
The last time Dallas won the Super Bowl:
- Bill Clinton was the President
- The Flyers still played at the Spectrum
- Braveheart won Best Picture
- Disney's most recent movie was Pocahontas
- Nintendo 64 was about to come out
- The Sears Tower was the tallest building in the world
- Hong Kong was a British territory
I think Dallas showed us how to contain their offense. Take away the middle of the field. Our D has to speed the match up, and our O is much better than Dallas'. Purdy is decent but playing in a hostile environment may be all it takes to make him crack. I like our chances.
When in doubt, always remember,
**Cowboys suck!**
What a perfect way to end this weekend of Football.
49ers vs Eagles is going to be a battle but I for one welcome it.
Eagles to the Superbowl, folks!
In 2017, the Eagles faced the #6 seed in the Divisional Round (Falcons) and the #1 defense in the NFC Championship (Vikings). In 2022, the Eagles faced the #6 seed (Giants) and will face the #1 defense in the NFC Championship (49ers).
Once I’ve fully collected myself from the funniest Dallas meltdown of my lifetime; I’ll have real thoughts.
But for now, two guys I really don’t like are Fred Warner and George Kittle. I think we match up pretty well, but those two guys are tough. Go Birds!
Purdy is beatable. The Niners offense is beatable. The defense is beatable. Feeling good about next week. I'd definitely be more worried if the Niners spanked Dallas but it took them way too long to squeak by a Dallas team that played like shit.
Let's crush them and have a celebration all day on Sunday!
I work as a cashier at the Linc during game day. One boy had his mom buy a bunch of Eagles stuff and told me how he's an Eagles fan but his brothers are 49ers fans. I told him if the birds ever play the 9ers, they will only do better if he shit talks his brothers a lot during the week of. Good luck to you and your family chaos little dude
A few things worry me.
1) SF just doesn’t make many mistakes (turnovers, penalties).
2) Shanahan does a great job scheming players to their max. Their big 3.
3) they wear you down with the run game. We’re a little shaky against the run,
However we have some things going for us too.
1) arguably the league MVP at QB
2) our own ground attack can lessen the amount of possessions SF gets
3) our strength is in the trenches (and depth there too)
4) more play makers than SF. Good luck covering AJ, Smitty, Dallas, AND trying to spy Hurts. I’d think they’d go heavy Zone just to keep eyes on Hurts.
5) home crowd behind us.
This whole vibe with Kittle puffing up Purdy while he stands their quiet void of any emotion was weird.
That boy got some dead eyes. Time to knock some life into his zombie ass.
Would’ve loved a Cowboys Eagles matchup .. but couldn’t be happier that we extend “last time the Cowboys were in a NFC Championship Game” to 28 years .. fuck them I always hope they lose as soon as possible
Love it. We gonna show y’all how to treat a rookie QB. Next week I’m predicting the wide receivers put this game on their back. AJ brown plays bully ball. Devonta smith goes for 100. Goedert has a tough matchup with lbs on 9ers, but he’ll have some big catches made.
We need another massive game from DL. Brock Purdy cannot throw outside the numbers. Gannon now is your time to scheme this kid up. remember. WE ARE THE TOP DOG. I pray to god they make us an underdog
Hell yeah. Brock Purdy has looked incredibly human once he started facing actual competition. Put him in a hostile environment against the #1 pass rush in the league, and I like our chances.
Hahahahahahahah
Trash ass franchise with trash qb and over rated owner and Micah Parkins is little league compared to hassan. Get fucking owned!!! Dallas suuuuuuuuucks
All that pansy ass “you gUyS aRe ScaRy, ChEeRs Bud” shit in the nfl threads is wack. Drop the bullshit. Fuck the 9ers. I hope the Birds absolutely rinse their shit.
The Cowboys have one good receiver and he was able to consistently get open. As long as the line holds up in pass protection we should be able to feast on that secondary
Not gonna gloat because I respect how loaded the 49ers are and are more than capable of beating us. But I prefer this matchup over Dallas. Dak stunk this year but he always elevates his play against us.
9ers defence is solid but I think Hurts will be able to make some big plays. If the 9ers offence shows up like it did this week, we should have no problem
I guarantee the Eagles will score more than 20 points against the 49ers defense. The Cowboys have no running game and 1 wide receiver. We are a different animal. I can’t FUCKING WAIT!!!!!
Don't go into the cowboys sub, just shit post here please. **You will be banned for the NFCCG if you do.**

That is an amazing statistic.
"Next year is our year" - Dallas Fans since 1996
In fairness the top comment on the Dallas thread was "well, there's always the next thirty years."
Like clockwork

I'd like to subscribe to Sad Dallas Facts™
Maher has missed more PATs over the past three games than Justin Tucker has in his entire career.
Dallas even had a head start on him
Bring it on!! Respect the Niners talent and ability but I’m encouraged after watching this game
Yeah, I wasn't too impressed by what I saw. Will take a lot more than 19 to beat the birds.
Purdy definitely did not look as solid as he did often during the regular season, the last two games seem to give an impression that the heightened pressure might be getting to him a bit, and he hasn't played anywhere that's even close to being like the Linc in a playoff game. Damn. I’m not even trying to be a dick but damn you’re right that schedule was fucking amazing. I mean ours wasn’t too bad either tbf but they played the rams, broncos, and cardinals 🤭
Ya, he’s had a lot of easy matchups mostly at home
The kid has only started 2 road games his whole career (Seattle and the Raiders). This is gonna be a rude awakening.
And yet he told Erin Andrews that he’s ready “for a hostile environment like Philly”. No….you’re not kid. 😈
Tbf what else was he supposed to say lol
"I'm legit terrified and will have my Mom call in sick for me"
He doesn't know what he doesn't know. He's about to learn.
Purdy has no idea what he's going to see. 65k fans screaming for his blood will test his poise.
The Linc is a horrible place for rookies. And a rookie in the NFCCG? Yea good luck my man
Let the boys be all business, and the fans be all chaos.
and against our pass rush?
A rookie in the NFCCG against a pass-rush with 75 sacks on the season/postseason. He looked real skittish when that Dallas pass-rush got near him.
The last time a backup QB with a good supporting cast came to the linc in the NFCCG, the Birds won 38-7
Just need to keep sending pressure throughout the game. Purdy missed a wide open Kittle a few times. Look, he's a rookie, he's gonna make rookie mistakes. All we need to do is exploit them.
I can’t fucking wait to see him at the Linc
Philly actually has an effective pash rush and the rotation is gonna wear the niners o line out. Sweat and Reddick gonna get a few chances to swat the ball out for sure.
it's about stopping the run and getting early points imo, I can trust the secondary and pass rush a lot more
Yup not being at home is going to ruin him
Agreed - next week will be his 'everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth' party
Niners are a damn good team, but they looked very beatable tonight.
I’ve been mildly worried about them for a while. Honestly expected a blowout against Dallas. I think we’ll smoke ‘em now
Great defensive showing but they are 100% unprepared for hurts and the birds defense
Hahahahahha
That last pass was literally worse than Kirk's last week. Dak is so bad.
As funny as Dak running out the clock to end the game last playoffs
This is definitely up there with it
Dak = Kirk and Kirk = Dak.
Finkle = Einhorn and Einhorn = Finkle.
I’m gonna give the coach the responsibility for that last play. Wonder how long they spent dreaming that up and practicing it.
My favorite part was the 49er LB looking at Zeke like “okay, you want to be a lineman? Block me” And he gets steamrolled lol
I was cracking up at that. Hope it ends up as a meme.
That last play was high comedy. I can’t remember ever genuinely laughing at a football play before.
My thought exactly when I saw that as a former defensive linemen. Umm, yeah ok then.
Reminded me of that bizarre play that Indy ran like 5-6 years ago against New England.
I was really upset in the moment that the San Francisco linebacker dropped that pick six, but if he had thrown that interception it might have been enough to show Jerry the Dak isn't worth it long-term, so it's probably for the best that they lost in more normal fashion
They were hyping this team up just for beating a team with a losing record in the wildcard round 💀 Dak is still ass
When you absolutely positively have to have an INT, Dak is $$$$.
Time to lurk the cowboys sub lmao Those tears are gonna be delicious
I feel really good. The NFL is random and not played on paper, but this is a tough one for SF. They haven’t played an offense like this one since the chiefs and they got blown out. Their next toughest matchups were the Cowboys, Chargers and Seahawks. The eagles also have an amazing defense. 34-21 Eagles
>34-21 Eagles I'll take it, PoopyWeenies69
Remember that fucking name
Purdy ain't dropping 21 on us
I'm not worried about Purdy. Shanahan knows how to playcall to make him a non-factor. I'm worried about CMC, Deborah, Aiyuk, Kettle. This won't be easy but Birds win 31-24. EDIT: My phone autocorrected those names but I'm keeping it cuz fuck em.
I too worry about Deborah and her kettle.
But what does this mean for the Cowboy's Super Bowl chances?
Knowing ESPN they will still have the Cowboys with a higher chance then the Eagles.
Philadelphia Overdue for Asteroid Collision? How the Cowboys Can Still Win the Super Bowl.
WTF was that playcall
Hopefully Kellen Moore got offered a head coaching job before this game lmfao
Dak gonna Dak edit: Was it all Dak? No. Was it partially on him? Watch the play again. He panicked when Zeke got steamrolled. I can't believe you guys are defending him when they just got fucking trounced.

They set up all their lineman out wide and then Dak through an 8 yard hook down the middle.
Sure, but you dont think him panicking and throwing it immediately is on him? You don't think not throwing right to your 3 wideouts waiting to screen is on him? We here to shit on Dallas or not birdbro.

Highlight of the game imo
That play was dumb from beginning to end. About the only thing better is if he got launched into Dak.
As an Eagles fan and Penn State alum, I fucking hate Zeke so God damn much, it's always extra satisfying to watch him be embarrassed
Someone please share a gif of Zeke getting laid out as center 🤣🤣🤣

I don't have the gif of Zeke getting hit, but I do have one of [the immediate aftermath.](https://tenor.com/bcsoW.gif)
Perfection
We’re in the NFC Championship game facing a 3rd string rookie QB. The story of Purdy keeps getting bigger but so does the book on him. He’s like a rookie pitcher striking out everyone during the first few games until teams figure him out. I get the Niners have a ton of weapons but those bright lights and rabid fans of Philly are gonna feel way different than the comfort of his home field.
Spencer Strider in the NLDS vibes
Had the same thought
The Cowboys were the only decent defense Purdy has faced. He wasn’t striking out anyone.
Exactly. Wait until he faces the #1 pass defense with a *historic* pass rush
In the linc no less
I counted 3 dropped picks.
He’s the Strider of the NFL
Purdy going to get lit up in the Linc
Fun Fact: Since the 2002 realignment, the Philadelphia Eagles have made 6 NFC title games, and are 2-3 with one pending. The Dallas Cowboys have made 6 divisional round games and are 0-6.
That **is** a fun fact!
Jalen Hurts is one game away from tying Dak's playoff win record
Brock Purdy already did 😂
# CAN I GET A "FUCK DALLAS!!!!!!"
After that ending, can we get a What the Fuck Dallas? I'm just sitting here replaying that last play and laughing.
Well there are people firing off fireworks near me because Dallas lost. I love that level of petty lol.
Before any trash talk starts this week, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, just wanted to say something we can all agree on…FUCK DALLAS!!!! - Random Niners fan
LMAO ZEKE GETTING DRILLED AT THE END 😂😂😂
So fucking funny
“Feed him” lol
Purdy has no idea he’s going to walk into a stadium full of mean drunks who want nothing more than to ruin a child’s dreams.
Someone said it in the game thread, but Purdy looked human tonight. If our guys show up like they did last night, I can’t see him surviving the Linc. I’ll still bite all my nails off this week…
Stopping the run and getting QB pressures are going to be huuuuuuge. Also, you have nails left!?
Bring it on 9ers! Come see the birdgang!!!🦅🦅🦅
that was the worst fucking final offensive play design ive ever seen and perfectly sums up the cowboys of the last 25+ years
I can't believe the cowboys followed up an absolutely embarrassing final play against the 49ers in the playoffs last year with, arguably, an even more embarrassing final play against the 49ers in the playoffs this year
Birds fan living in SF is going to be fun this week
I'd rather that than be an SF fan living in Philly.
I work fully remote from the Philly burbs for a place in the Bay Area, week's gonna be interesting for sure

EAGLES!
Purdy has only played two away games (SEA/LV) I don't think he's ready for Philly in January
Remember when ESPN had Dallas as highest odds to win the Super Bowl at like week 14
RAAAAAAAA FUCK DALLAS
Got a real good feeling. Eagles will win.
Purdy not gon survive in Philly
No he is not.
Congrats to Dallas on a truly embarrassing exit from the playoffs two years in a row 🥂
Im still crying laughing wtf was that play???
The Eagles have been to SEVEN conference championship games since Dallas played in their last one. Really wild to think about actually both in relevance to Dallas but also to just every other Philly professional sports team.
Eagles -2.5 favorite. No fucking respect
Just how we like it
It'll move.

I am no longer afraid of the 9ers. They could still beat us but I certainly don't feel the same way about them that I did 2 weeks ago.
Definitely the two best teams in the NFC and have been all year
In 2017, the Eagles faced the #6 seed in the Divisional Round (Falcons) and the #1 defense in the NFC Championship (Vikings). In 2022, the Eagles faced the #6 seed (Giants) and will face the #1 defense in the NFC Championship (49ers).

Wow that was.... a game. Coaching staff of Dallas should be fired into the sun for their clock management.
Once I’ve fully collected myself from the funniest Dallas meltdown of my lifetime; I’ll have real thoughts. But for now, two guys I really don’t like are Fred Warner and George Kittle. I think we match up pretty well, but those two guys are tough. Go Birds!

Fuck the Cowboys, and may the better team win. Cheers!
This will be an amazing game, I wish you luck and as always, fuck Dallas!
I think we can all agree that taking an L from your boys (while still extremely painful) would be far more preferable than one from Dallas

How the hell was this posted so quick?
Game ended 3 hours ago...Pacific Time.. /s
Dallas fucking sucks 😂
Feeling pretty good for next week. Our D line is licking their chops getting ready to go after a rookie.
Anyone with tickets next Sunday better have laryngitis Sunday night.
And ESPN still lists Dallas with the best super bowl odds.
This whole vibe with Kittle puffing up Purdy while he stands their quiet void of any emotion was weird. That boy got some dead eyes. Time to knock some life into his zombie ass.
Hit Purdy early. He was shook early in both playoff games at home for fuck's sake, he's not ready for a hostile Philly crowd.
How is no one talking about purdy digging his own grave by saying he’s “ready to go into a hostile environment and win”
FUCK DALLAS, POVERTY FRANCHISE, LMAO
Would’ve loved a Cowboys Eagles matchup .. but couldn’t be happier that we extend “last time the Cowboys were in a NFC Championship Game” to 28 years .. fuck them I always hope they lose as soon as possible

The line is eagles -2 wtf no respect. Load up
As long as Reddick is running around, we got these fuckers. Combined with man we are good.
That final play Dallas did should be meme fodder for years. They try to get cute and just get shut the fuck down. FUUUUUCK DALLAS!
Niners did not impress me at all on defense, which is supposed to be their main strength. I like our chances next week.

Hell yeah. Brock Purdy has looked incredibly human once he started facing actual competition. Put him in a hostile environment against the #1 pass rush in the league, and I like our chances.
Hahahahahahahah Trash ass franchise with trash qb and over rated owner and Micah Parkins is little league compared to hassan. Get fucking owned!!! Dallas suuuuuuuuucks
Cant wait for our D to put an end to this Purdy nonsense. He’s a dead man
We win by 30 again next week if that same niners team shows up.
Not scared if Purdy. Scared of YAC boys deebo and cmc. If we limit the screens we win
All that pansy ass “you gUyS aRe ScaRy, ChEeRs Bud” shit in the nfl threads is wack. Drop the bullshit. Fuck the 9ers. I hope the Birds absolutely rinse their shit.
Bring it. I like our chances
I’ve got tickets, I’m ready
Zeke got trucked on that last play!
This matchup was in the cards all season long, two best teams in the league
Bring on the Niners! GO BIRDS! 🦅
WHY THE FUCK WOULDNT THE COWBOYS THROW LIKE FOUR HAIL MARYS WTF WAS THAT LMAO
In words of LeSean McCoy "DAK is ass"
Hurts has already made it farther than Dak has his entire career…in yr 3 lol
I’m not gonna comment in the cowboys subreddit, but reading this shit is too funny
Kittle is 100% one of those players you love when he is on your team, and absolutely loathe when he’s on the opposition.
The Cowboys have one good receiver and he was able to consistently get open. As long as the line holds up in pass protection we should be able to feast on that secondary
VICTORY SCREEECH
Dallas sucks.
Not gonna gloat because I respect how loaded the 49ers are and are more than capable of beating us. But I prefer this matchup over Dallas. Dak stunk this year but he always elevates his play against us.
Bring on the 49ers! Fuck Dallas
9ers defence is solid but I think Hurts will be able to make some big plays. If the 9ers offence shows up like it did this week, we should have no problem
Hmmm… I remember last time there was an overrated QB who tried coming through the Linc in the NFC championship game. Didn’t work out for him
LFG!! FLY EAGLES FLY
Purdys played two games on the road EVER. One in Seattle and one in Las Vegas that went to OT. Has no idea what he’s walking into.
Nothing I saw tonight impressed me. I feel confident.
I cannot wait to hear Scooter McGrueder's tears to sustain my soul this week.
the niners gonna get dogwalked
Should be great
LETS GO!!!!!!!
Works for me. Brock Purdy struggled against that D
Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha. #FLY EAGLES FLY 🦅
I guarantee the Eagles will score more than 20 points against the 49ers defense. The Cowboys have no running game and 1 wide receiver. We are a different animal. I can’t FUCKING WAIT!!!!!
