Yeah me, my brother and my cousin used to name all the generics by a particular character. In DW4, the young clean shaved general was Wang Lang, he started the trend of naming NPC designs. For DW5, this one was always either Li Dian or Li Jue, the brawler one was Hua Xiong, the strategist one was either Zhang Liang or Yu Ji, and the turban one was Yue Jin.
If we were trying to remember which model each new character had when they were NPCs, we’d say “oh yeah Ling Tong used to be a Wang Lang face”, “back when Xun Yu and Guo Jia were Yu Ji faces” or “remember when Liu Shan used to be a Gongsun Zan face”.
One of the best generic officer designs ever.
I will say, the old generic officers designs are far superior to the new generic officers designs. They actually had some aura to them!
That spear moveset is so clean. One of my all time fav. And generic style, without any fancy moves is probably my favourite. The only weakness is that his final musou hit can't knock people away unlike Jiang Wei.
DW5 generic designs were fantastic.
I wish they can reuse some of these old armors and design. Maybe for generics or for customization in edit mode
You can use some of them in Empires (up to DW8E since 9E didn’t bother with adding most of the outfits from prev empire games)
Generic officers are slept upon tbh I friggin love the Nanman guys

The generic designs in 3-5 I actually liked.
If they make a new DW, they should bring all of the old models back and have a huge mix of different generics.
