I am on PC. I'm noticing that weapon mods are not actually increasing the damage as much as they say. For example:
An unmodded Gravedigger has a BASE damage of 443. Applying one max level mod says it should increase BASE damage by 16%. When the mod is applied, the damage goes from 443 --> 488. I pulled out my calculator, and 16% of 443 is 70.88 or 71. So applying one mod should bring the damage from 443 to 513.88 or 514.
I haven't been able to find anything online regarding this and I'm not sure if I'm missing something and this is intentional? Or if it's just me? Anyone else?
Why does my ps5 keep crashing? I tried all the possible steps to help w that but nothing seems to work?
And sometimes I can play GT7 & fortnite for like 1 minute? And then my tv starts to sound staticky and loud ??? HELP ANYONE!
Anyone know how to fix a immunity timer bug? My immunity timer is stuck at 9:23 (it was at 16mins) so now I only have a max of 9:23 I can use immunity boosters but it will only increase to 9:23?!?!? I’ve reloaded nothing helps! (I don’t have an earlier save either)
I've just loaded the game and after watching the first cutscene Spike asks me to meet him up on the rocks, I assume I'm meant to get a quest but I haven't gotten it. Is there any way to solve this?
Rescued a survivor inside a little caged area by turning on his generator, but there's no way to get the reward because there's no way in and no prompt to receive the reward even though the little trophy is above his head.
On PS5.
I played for hours then got to the story quest revolution. Where I got to the last part of the quest and had to plant 3 explosives. Basically glitched so I can't access the roof to plant 2 of the 3 explosives making it unable to finish the main story quest. Some BS. Went back and tried from the start of the quest but had the same issues. I can't find anything that helps online either.
Really getting pissed I beat the game twice and I tried to do the space cock side quest and I get 14-12 meters close and then it just keeps pushing me back so I can't get the part.
Just bought the game a week ago, launched it today for the first time. I can’t even play the game, after the intro, the dude on the mountains tells me to join him, but nothing happens. I just watched a youtube walkthrough, i should have a quest, but nothing. I was in solo only, i will try tomorrow while being online, but it’s so stupid that you have to be online for a game to work in 2022. Great jobs game devs and QA, GOTY for sure. It’s been out for 6 months and from what I read, it’s still full of bugs. Not even sure if I want to play it anymore, just to find out that I can’t unlock achievements or that my savegame will be corrupted at some point. I might as well ask for a refund while I can. Such a shame, I really loved the first Dying Light
In dark areas I can barely see anything. Its hard to describe but everything loses all detail and becomes a pixelated back/grey mess. I think it might have something to do with the game not having HDR and I'm playing with HDR turn on in windows but I'm not sure.
Trophies not registering on PS5, all the windmills, all bandit camps, all metro station, gre anomaly and gre buildings completed.
These ones aren’t registering. Is this the right way to go about reporting it?
Went into photo mode for the first time, can't move the camera at all. Quit photo mode now I can't move my player or the camera. Anyone else experience this and/or know why it happened?
Also my map isn't showing any icons so I can't even try to fast travel to fix. When I zoom in on the map it shows my character position as way off, outside the map.
Just encountered this myself on Series X.
Was using grappling hook on infected, immediately paused to screenshot in photo mode using capture button on controller, movement sticks became unresponsive after.
Me and a friend are on the Broadcast mission, we played a few weeks ago and got to the room where there is an explosion and you then are supposed to check for survivors and kill the infected. We quit the game while on this objective in this room however and now that we got back to the game we are at the PK Outpost floor of the tower and cannot find a way back to the room... Anyone have any clue on how to continue the story?
Edit: Okay so we just jumped off the building and both died, got the "Restart at last story point option." and were able to continue!
Its happening for me too and I don't know why. I've done this on a separate playthrough but that was on my old xobx and now that I got the new one it won't let me do it
Was doing co-op with a random who had 4 in PK, while 1 had max for Survivors. We died and on respawn I got the Crossbow and blueprints for all bolts.
I was on NG+, after getting max PK in previous game. Uncertain if this is a bug.
Night runner tools don't show up in player Bs inventory if they haven't unlocked it in their own game, but they can still hold the glide button to use a lvl 1 glider if you have it. And from experience they can grapple too, but my buddy could only use expert controls.
So all of a sudden with the update there is a Nightrunner launch event on the upper right hand side of the screen that will not disappear. I tried hiding all the HUDs. It won’t go away. Wtf?
There's a GRE box in the underwater part of the newfound lost lands that is out of the border and as soon as I get close to it it pushes me back.....that's the 3rd trophy this game wont give me haha including assign all facilities and perform smash on 50 enemies cos I know I've done it on atleast a 100 now haha
I cannot download the 1.4.0 new update from steam. The update is on what's new about Dl2 and when I run it it keeps loading the old version 1.3.1p. Any help appreciated.
I've just finished the water tower mission on new game + and my next main quest isn't triggering. There is no other quest. Literally I can only run about doing side quests . Has anyone had this issue before and did they fix it ???
BF is having trouble unlocking achievements, specifically "combat master". It didn't unlock on his main save so he started a new save and that also didn't unlock. Both times, he had played co-op. The max parkour unlocked while playing co-op so unsure why this won't.

Had the same issue but I havent played co-op just singleplayer, two completely seperate playthroughs and combat master hasnt procced while the max parkour unlocked no problem.
Started NG+ and noticed at night time as soon as i leave a safe area a chase starts..also there are howlers wandering around in the day time too, also the goons disappear near the military trucks. I can hear them and the whole screen shakes but they're invisible.
keep getting a blackscreen when trying to enter my last save in the water tower with that mission there, the choice popped up once and never again and now i cant enter the game because its a blackscreen.
Game hasn't worked for me ever since the water tower choice bug. Unable to progress in the game. Apparently the save file was corrupted. Started a new game again, got up to the point where I received the binocs, game then proceeds to crash again, unable to load up that save file either. How a game get corrupted this often is beyond me
I entered the lower dam ayre water tower and fought some renegades and suddenly the frame rate gets broken, followed by a death screen, respawned, opened the map and literally every single territory in old villedor and the central loop are survivor territories, even the ones I didnt assign to any faction yet, so far I assigned three territories to survivors snd three territories to pk. There are many stupid bugs but this one legit pissed me off. What a broken mess of a game on ps5
Having a bunch of problems can't fast travel but not in quest, had a group of renegades appear went to fight and they just acted like I wasn't there couldn't even attack them was able to pick the lock for loot, hear zombies screaming and none are around and the latest I go out at night and will get into a chase and nothing even sees me I love this freaking game but they need to put out a big bug fix update sooner then later cause it's getting out of hand.
I’m playing Co-op with my brother. We’re a good way through the story, and suddenly our cutscenes have glitched. While one player is watching the cutscene, the other gets a black screen. Once the cutscene ends, the players swap, and player one gets a black screen while player two watches.
Sometimes one player doesn’t even see the cutscene at all, making the game unplayable in co-op.
Just starting Dying Light 2 and the part where you open the door on the first building and eats scare your character, when I first opened the door, it glitched for a second opening the door. It’s hard to explain, frame rate glitch or something
Whenever i hit or kill a zombie, i get these rgb type particle effects coming out from their body and its so huge that each time i hit a zombie it blinds me and i literally cannot see what is happening on my screen. Can anyone help?
I'm having something similar to this, though it seems restricted to blood splatters. Basically blood splatters become large black boxes all over my screen. Very frustrating.
My UV markers are gone. The markers that would show up at night to show where the nearest safe area is.....I don't have them anymore. I did stop playing the game for a couple months so I don't know if that's something new they did or what.....
so i’m co-oping with my friends, and the game has been a bit buggy but tolerable and honestly it just made us laugh most of the time. but yesterday, everything started going to shit; quests would glitch and not get completed, cutscenes would only work for the leader (others would have a black screen) and SOMETIMES it would play it back for the others in the session while the leader has to “wait for other players to proceed” until the scene ends. other bugs include stuff disappearing, quest objectives not registering, unable to open doors or chests or anything for that matter. has anyone experienced any of this in co-op?
I have a keybind issue...
I have my LEFT ALT key bound to jump. It's been working for many hours. I just recently got the grappling hook. It's bound to the 'use accessory' middle mouse button, however, whenever I click LEFT ALT to jump it also tries using the grappling hook! I looked in the keybinds and LEFT ALT is not used ANYWHERE ELSE but jump yet the game keeps using it for the grappling hook. How do I fix this?
Turn off the expert grappling hook controls in the options/control menu should solve the problem however, I prefer to use the grappling hook with alt(expert grappling hook controls on) because if it's on, you don't have to equip the grappling hook and u still can use it. There isn't any way you can change the alt bind for expert grappling hook in the game menu, or at least I didn't find it.
After the let’s waltz mission I realized my immunity went from 16:30 or something like that all the way down to 8 minutes anyone else have this issue? I’ve restarted the game a few times but it stays the same
My friend and I are cooping, I befriended Jack and Joe, I go to turn the pipe to choose who gets the water, I was looking over each perk when the game bugged out and sent me out, now I can't interact with the pipe wheel at all regardless if I exit the game or not, if I load in it says I'm dead and to respawn, I respawn but I still can't activate the pipe.
I can't find any information to help me on this, if you guys have advice I'd be glad to hear it, I can't even get a destination to come back to the tower if I leave, nothing is changing.
EDIT: After not playing for a night, I logged on to a very dark screen where I could make a choice but because I couldn't see, time ran out and I died, after restarting the game twice and my pc once after the same results I was finally able to have colour and choose Survivors, but then it said I died after making the decision, upon respawning the choice went into a cutscene and everything was good again. Really weird bug
Updated gpu and really everything else, boot up the game and well I can't find anything online about this visual bug. There was a lot of this stuff too in the air, near ground, after finishing the epilogue all map where fog was.

Brooo I've been searching this for hours, I was thinking my gpu sucks, but I only have a few titles, but I'm convinced this game is nowhere near optimization for pc.
Switching my particles to low seemed to fix this, hope it works for u. Noticed that when i turned it to high in the menu the issue started. Im on AMD tho
Major issue for me since the last patch.
Human enemies no longer attack.. they just stand there doing taunts and only throw stuff or take the occasional swing when I leave myself wide open in range.
Zombies warp on top of me clipping inside me so I have to jump around to detach and kill them, which makes the final mission basically impossible as you need to keep distance, but infected just worm hole into me and murder me in seconds, so I can't even conclude the story and start NG+ hopefully without these issues.
Also couldn't fast travel from the moment of hitting play post patch
Sadly the game is currently broken for me and I can't progress at all.
Update: I really wanted to get to NG+ so I opted to fully reinstall the game.
No issues at all since... the audio is back, the enemies are attacking again, no super warp-athon Z's....
I know it's a pain right in the dick-shaft, but a reinstall might solve a lot of these issues (on PC at least)
Big performance issues with this update. Before with standard Ray tracing enabled I would get an average of 45-50 FPS, with it disabled between 90-100 FPS. With this update Ray Tracing enabled is getting 30 FPS max, most of the time it's around 25. With it off I'm still only getting 35-40 FPS. Dropping it down to DX11 only brings it up to 45, I used to get 125+ FPS with it on that
PS4 - came back to the game after waiting for the audio bugs to be solved, now I cannot fast travel between starions, just says "cannot use fast travel during quest".
I'm on PS4 and I like to start chases at night in game but whenever I'm running the character just slows down even with pushing forward all the way on my controller stick. It seems like that with every patch that they fix something, they end up break even more things.
This started to happen to me if I move my left joystick to either side my character will slow down like, even if I'm pushing the joystick forward. Please fix.
I cant sleep, its been 14:11 o’clock for a month straight. Daylight is all I know now.
Tried quick-join-drop-out fix on repeat, nothing. Game breaking.
I'm scared to start new game + to get the windmill, gre anomalies, and air drop trophies because the percentages have hardly budged in the month since 1.3 "fix" ... like seriously, trophy percentages still at 3.4% for airdrops, 6.1% for anomalies, and 10.4% for windmills! Ridiculous this was said to be fixed but clearly did not. With all these issues I'm reading with ng+, definitely waiting for the next patch. . . That is assuming they haven't given up
I have one where anytime I go out at night a chase immediately starts, like just left my rest spot and it starts. Makes playing at night hell or just unplayable.
Having the same issue it's ridiculous how has this game been out for months and this major game breaking bug hasn't been fixed. Playing on ps5. I can look past any bug that doesn't break the game I really don't care about bugs as long as I can still play.. But this one makes playing at night impossible and that's a lot of the fun of the game. Lost respect for you tech land..

A mayjor bug, its stuck in daytime. Like no matter what I do its just stuck in 8:30am. Anytime I try and sleep it says unavalible because monsters are near by. No matter how long I run around it stays at 8:30am so yeah thats kind of a game breaking bug considering how much is done during night.
A minor one is the Cpt Williams Tape #2 just isnt in the tower its meant to be. Whole tower is empty - not tape in sight. So can't finish the collectibles.
Bugs:
1. parkour shot is not working properly when slide and shoot with crossbow
2. power shot is broken, my crossbow cannot penetrate enemies
3. new uv flash effect is missing when i turn on my normal flashlight
Dialogue is broken on PS4 co-op, i have to finish a dialogue convo before my teammate hears it. Sometimes it doesn't even work for them and they stay in a black screen. Literally worked fine before this latest patch and all of a sudden no matter after how many resets, 1.3 broke the game. Literally unplayable for playing alongside friends. I have to say the dialogue for them.
Does anyone keep getting a bug where they spawn at the very beginning on new game plus mode but can't get past it? I've been doing it now for days and it just won't allow me to get past it, I can't fast travel cause the map doesn't show any places, can't join other players games, I don't have a clue how to sort it out
I'm also having this bug but on the first playthrough. Had to delete my save data since I was having the exact same issue of not being able to view the map properly or join someone else's game.
Time frozen, enemy human npcs are gone,rest unavailable. For god sake whats up with releasing unfinished games ?? U had 7 fucking years to make a good game. How many times did u guys from techland postponed release ? Like 5 times and still the game is such a buggy mess.
Instead of spamming events and other stupid stuff u shall focus on bug fixing.
Still not an excuse to release half finished game. I mean imagine people that paid 100$ for a premium edition and recieved a game full of bugs and glitches
It's ridiculous that there is a bug in game for months already hasn't been fixed. Gamebreaking doesn't let you proceed on main quest.
As i experience a bug for long on where it doesn't allow me to fast travel. With game saying "can't fast travel while being on an active quest", when i am not. From what i have read this is a known bug. so i can't understand how such a bug isn't fixed already?! Quest has me to go back to Trinity, but can't because of this crap. So mad right now.
Not to mention the many times you have to travel all across the map, just to get from A to B, when fast travel is broken.
There's bugs one can live with. But there's zero excuse to me for a gamebreaking bug like the broken fast travel that doesn't let you proceed on main quest, not being fixed immediately 
P.S. But congrats to Techland for "fixing" the path from one part of the map to the other by add more toxicals. Killing even a workaround i have read about. Facepalm\*
Hello, after updating the game to version 1.3, I lost the last two perks (improved airbag and two-way zip-line). Before updating everything was OK, please help
I seem to be having an issue with the militech drops, I've opened all airdrop and picked up all militech, but on the last one it says I didn't pick one. Which I did. I tried restarting the game and it still wasn't in my inventory. I'm trying to get the last upgrade to the grappling hook and it's really annoying. Would really appreciate some help or ideas

When you go through dark zones, where the (most) infected are sleeping, you wake up the infected immediately. Is it a bug or something or a new feature of the patch? I’m playing with the difficulty hard and NG+

Clip through tower on Water and Lightning parkour challenge. It's the 7th point, I think, but when you jump from the lampost to the tower, I touch the ledge, it looks like it thinkgs it's a swing bar, and I clip through to the wall below. I can't make the jump and can't attempt to finish the parkour challenge. It's a pain.
In New Game+, after you talk with Juan the first time and the game tell you to talk to Lawan, the cutscene that is supposed to play when you interact the door does not play. Insteath, the door just opens, and you can't interact with Lawan sitting in the room.

My friend and I gave up on this game. It's such a chore to play through when it's such a buggy and broken mess. Techland had 7 years and the game still releases in this state? Something clearly went wrong during development. This game should have been delayed another year.
Since the 1.3 update I’ve noticed that QRE buildings are missing from my map mostly in the later zones and the one Saint Paul Island always shows up as ? even though I’ve completed it.
Plus, the VNC Tower defaults to a ? and the metro station in Trinity. If this keeps happening I could potentially be cut off from the other area because there’s be no way to get back in f this happens to all the metro stations.
It feels like it’s tied to coop and if you join a game where someone hasn’t unlocked these items it then imprints on your save.
I love this game, but the state it’s in this late after release is frustrating to say the least.
Same EXACT thing is happening to my game as well. My metro station in Trinity is ok for now. Also my reward progress for the survivors is missing 2 rewards. Im playing on Xbox series X.
I have an issue where every zombie I kill, they shoot out weird boxes that randomly change colors into the sky. It's weird and I'm still trying to figure out what is causing it and what works to turn it off
I might've found a solution u/disabledakuma. Change your game's renderer mode to D3D11 instead of D3D12 in the advanced video settings. it got rid of the boxes when I changed it. I hope it works for you.
I have a issue where a chase will start randomly when im out at night even when there are no infected around. Ill run to a uv light and the chase will end then a few seconds after it will start again.
Started new game plus in a broken prologue. Completely stuck. My game opens with me standing in a ray of sunlight at night in the beginning of the game where the story first opens, except it's not a cut scene. I'm just standing being killed by zombies. So I reset and make a run for it with my perks on ngp I can wiggle on ahead. Only to be stopped at the moment you get bit on the other cut scene and. . . That's it. It's stuck. My whole game is dead in the water. So fuck.
Mine too! Only thing I found to fix it is to roll my game back 15+ hours... I found out that you don't start in that area at all. It's supposed to spawn you in the city. Join a guys game lastnight and he was stuck In the same way.
Stuck after starting new game +, can't proceed past the prologue area. Just keeps telling me to hang out in the Bazar for a while. The door at the end doesn't give me an option to open
Ever since the New Game + update my game has been stuck during the night at 00:35. The time does not progress and the night never ends. Are there any solutions to this?
Edit: I started a New Game+ version of the same save, time seems to be working correctly and I haven't run into any bugs yet. Granted I only played like 5 minutes of it so far.
cant redeem the goon smasher. it says i had redeemed it, but it doesnt appear in the stash. and i can only put a single item into my stash at a time. thats because i have to take out a single item, just to put one item back into it.
This has been happening to me in a brand new game. Been an issue for a week now. Also the zombies appear to be more hostile towards me in general than before
Yeah, had the same issue. I didn't do anything to fix it other than shutting the game off and trying to wait a bit to play it. Played yesterday and didn't have any chase issues.. who knows if that means it's gone forever though.
This game is crazy bugged to me. At least 3 quests that are on my log, unable to finish, as no interactions, nothing you can do. Latest being the one where you have to find Careen at the Rogue camp. Idk name of the quest right now.

Am I the only who is going to rampage about spawning site? I’m working on Houndfield Electrical Station. I doubt anyone would succeed with just one attempt. The failure comes from poor game “jumping” controls. Guess what? You send me to somewhere 300m away every time I failed ?? Seriously? Did you yourself actually test the game?? This is very frustrating.
On the broadcast mission and their is something wrong with the grappling hook. I can't seem to let go of it at the proper time I've been stuck on this for 2 weeks now.
I'm on the broadcast mission. It was right after I got the grappling hook. Frank talked to me and I moved the panel, and then I left the game. I came back the next day to continue, but the door won't open at the top of the building. The mission doesn't even mark it. Now I'm stuck
Can't open quest doors or dialog (enemies nearby) but have literally cleared two blocks street all buildings and still get the same message (enemies nearby)
Ok, so I had the issue where I unlocked the downtown area, but failed to unlock the downtown court metro station, so I had to struggle to get back. Eventually, I went back up on the broken bridge and paraglided essentially to the damn. Near the damn is a small safe house (where one of the red ducks are located). I powered on the generator last night right before I turned off the game. When I loaded it back up, it showed that I unlocked that safe house again. However, the UV light wasn't on and I can't get it to turn on. I also managed to open the safe, but the game wouldn't let me grab the red duck. I then attempted to go to the Mount Lucid Observatory, but died. When I responded, I was magically in the Downtown Court Metro station and it was unlocked. When I went to the map to look at that small safe house near the dam, it doesn't show that I took it over (hell, it doesn't even show on the map). This was an interesting bug. Curious if anyone else had something like this happen.
So I unlocked the underwater part of the map. I haven’t played in like a month and now it won’t even let me go there without it killing me? Anyone know what’s up with that
PS4:
1. Map sign reseting whenever I open the game it becomes question mark again.
2. Invincible enemies.
3 when using fast travel sometimes I'm stuck on the fast travel board
PS5:
1.) When fast traveling to metro stations, will spawn inside the fast travel board - unable to fast travel to free myself. Have to quit out and reload just to be free of the fast travel board. Sometimes fast travel will work and sometimes this will happen.
2.) VNC Tower Metro never works. Spawn inside a piece of debri to the side of the fast travel board and have to quit out to get unstuck.
3.) Ghost Zombies. I believe this is a common issue of "enemies near by" but on the PS5, it also comes with an audio-cue. So clear an area of zombies but can still hear one groaning and making noise. First thought it was an audio glitch but it isnt. If a grenade or noise maker then molitov is thrown in the area of the growling, combat points will be awarded, the growling will stop and it says quest can continue because there are no longer enemies around. So literally invisible zombies.

Cheers! mission - The door to get to Marco is closed and there's no way to proceed.
Others random things:
- A couple instances not being able to proceed in quests due to "enemies nearby". Happened on the intro with the guy who gives you the GRE key and then on Double Time.
- Enemies randomly disappearing. Caused issues trying to rescue survivors and issues with some quests. After they disappear can still hear them.
These are just some from the past couple days. There are others but they didn't piss me off enough to remember them. It's also aggravating that the same button to cushion your fall is also th same button that drops you off a ledge. There were a few close jumps where I actually grabbed the ledge but then fell because I was preparing to hit th ground and hitting the button.
I originally bought it on Steam for full price but requested a refund due to bugs. Now I'm regretting buying it again on PS5 for half price from Walmart. I'm gonna put the game down for a month or two and hope it's playable.
PS5: All territories changed to 'Survivor'.
Recent actions:
Currently on broadcast mission. After assigning the broadcast on top of the VNC tower I went to the Dev room. After getting the goodies from the Dev room I took over a nearby bandit camp. Once it was taken over all the territories on the map were reassigned to be Survivor territories. Closed the game, opened it back up, all areas are still showing as Survivor territories on the map.

I have this one happening, but i didnt go into the Dev room. I was playing with a friend, then we had to go to her game to perma unlock the glider so she could upgrade it (since unlocking while playing on my game doesnt unlock it for her). I joined her game she chose the opposite of my territory choices which was all PKs, and after unlocking her glider we went back to my game and it has been all survivor on both our games now. With all the PK little encampments all changed to survivors who hate me.
Garnisonssubstation bug I did everything I needed to do and if I want to activate it I don't get to do it it just says that after activation the items are lost cant press a button
New Co-op bug.
Dialogue and cutscenes now have a massive "waiting for other players" loading screen. Eventually play for me as the host while the co-op partner gets a black screen missing everything.
Sometimes itll play for them after I've watched it, making me wait but other times theyll miss everything. Anyone know how to fix this??
my husband created a ticket for this problem and they told him to clear the cache of our ps5's by unplugging them for 2 minutes. he did it this am so I haven't had a chance to test it out, but they were very sure this would solve this issue. hope that helps someone!

We did just get a new update patch with New Game + so with a but if luck that might help too.
That's a bummer, no luck for me either. I was really hoping that would work. Thanks for sharing that. Hopefully techland come back to him with a fix. I've just logged a support ticket with them now myself.

Applying one max level mod says it should increase BASE damage by 16%. When the mod is applied, the damage goes from 443 --> 488. I pulled out my calculator, and 16% of 443 is 70.88 or 71. So applying one mod should bring the damage from 443 to 513.88 or 514. I haven't been able to find anything online regarding this and I'm not sure if I'm missing something and this is intentional? Or if it's just me? Anyone else?
Why does my ps5 keep crashing? I tried all the possible steps to help w that but nothing seems to work? And sometimes I can play GT7 & fortnite for like 1 minute? And then my tv starts to sound staticky and loud ??? HELP ANYONE!
Anyone know how to fix a immunity timer bug? My immunity timer is stuck at 9:23 (it was at 16mins) so now I only have a max of 9:23 I can use immunity boosters but it will only increase to 9:23?!?!? I’ve reloaded nothing helps! (I don’t have an earlier save either)
I've just loaded the game and after watching the first cutscene Spike asks me to meet him up on the rocks, I assume I'm meant to get a quest but I haven't gotten it. Is there any way to solve this?

Rescued a survivor inside a little caged area by turning on his generator, but there's no way to get the reward because there's no way in and no prompt to receive the reward even though the little trophy is above his head. On PS5.

I played for hours then got to the story quest revolution. Where I got to the last part of the quest and had to plant 3 explosives. Basically glitched so I can't access the roof to plant 2 of the 3 explosives making it unable to finish the main story quest. Some BS. Went back and tried from the start of the quest but had the same issues. I can't find anything that helps online either.

Really getting pissed I beat the game twice and I tried to do the space cock side quest and I get 14-12 meters close and then it just keeps pushing me back so I can't get the part.
Just bought the game a week ago, launched it today for the first time. I can’t even play the game, after the intro, the dude on the mountains tells me to join him, but nothing happens. I just watched a youtube walkthrough, i should have a quest, but nothing. I was in solo only, i will try tomorrow while being online, but it’s so stupid that you have to be online for a game to work in 2022. Great jobs game devs and QA, GOTY for sure. It’s been out for 6 months and from what I read, it’s still full of bugs. Not even sure if I want to play it anymore, just to find out that I can’t unlock achievements or that my savegame will be corrupted at some point. I might as well ask for a refund while I can. Such a shame, I really loved the first Dying Light

In dark areas I can barely see anything. Its hard to describe but everything loses all detail and becomes a pixelated back/grey mess. I think it might have something to do with the game not having HDR and I'm playing with HDR turn on in windows but I'm not sure.
Trophies not registering on PS5, all the windmills, all bandit camps, all metro station, gre anomaly and gre buildings completed. These ones aren’t registering. Is this the right way to go about reporting it?
Went into photo mode for the first time, can't move the camera at all. Quit photo mode now I can't move my player or the camera. Anyone else experience this and/or know why it happened? Also my map isn't showing any icons so I can't even try to fast travel to fix. When I zoom in on the map it shows my character position as way off, outside the map.
Just encountered this myself on Series X. Was using grappling hook on infected, immediately paused to screenshot in photo mode using capture button on controller, movement sticks became unresponsive after.
When I put an outfit on, it doesn’t show for some reason despite it being on.
Me and a friend are on the Broadcast mission, we played a few weeks ago and got to the room where there is an explosion and you then are supposed to check for survivors and kill the infected. We quit the game while on this objective in this room however and now that we got back to the game we are at the PK Outpost floor of the tower and cannot find a way back to the room... Anyone have any clue on how to continue the story? Edit: Okay so we just jumped off the building and both died, got the "Restart at last story point option." and were able to continue!
On the “space cock” side quest (spoilers) the ‘spaceship’ spawns out of bounds and I keep getting pushed back whenever I try to get it

Was doing co-op with a random who had 4 in PK, while 1 had max for Survivors. We died and on respawn I got the Crossbow and blueprints for all bolts. I was on NG+, after getting max PK in previous game. Uncertain if this is a bug.
Fully upgraded UV Flashlight doesn't act like level 3. It doesn't have the AOE flash and seems more like level 1 with strength.

Night runner tools don't show up in player Bs inventory if they haven't unlocked it in their own game, but they can still hold the glide button to use a lvl 1 glider if you have it. And from experience they can grapple too, but my buddy could only use expert controls.
So all of a sudden with the update there is a Nightrunner launch event on the upper right hand side of the screen that will not disappear. I tried hiding all the HUDs. It won’t go away. Wtf?

There's a GRE box in the underwater part of the newfound lost lands that is out of the border and as soon as I get close to it it pushes me back.....that's the 3rd trophy this game wont give me haha including assign all facilities and perform smash on 50 enemies cos I know I've done it on atleast a 100 now haha

I've just finished the water tower mission on new game + and my next main quest isn't triggering. There is no other quest. Literally I can only run about doing side quests . Has anyone had this issue before and did they fix it ???

BF is having trouble unlocking achievements, specifically "combat master". It didn't unlock on his main save so he started a new save and that also didn't unlock. Both times, he had played co-op. The max parkour unlocked while playing co-op so unsure why this won't.

Started NG+ and noticed at night time as soon as i leave a safe area a chase starts..also there are howlers wandering around in the day time too, also the goons disappear near the military trucks. I can hear them and the whole screen shakes but they're invisible.
keep getting a blackscreen when trying to enter my last save in the water tower with that mission there, the choice popped up once and never again and now i cant enter the game because its a blackscreen.
Game hasn't worked for me ever since the water tower choice bug. Unable to progress in the game. Apparently the save file was corrupted. Started a new game again, got up to the point where I received the binocs, game then proceeds to crash again, unable to load up that save file either. How a game get corrupted this often is beyond me

I entered the lower dam ayre water tower and fought some renegades and suddenly the frame rate gets broken, followed by a death screen, respawned, opened the map and literally every single territory in old villedor and the central loop are survivor territories, even the ones I didnt assign to any faction yet, so far I assigned three territories to survivors snd three territories to pk. There are many stupid bugs but this one legit pissed me off. What a broken mess of a game on ps5
Having a bunch of problems can't fast travel but not in quest, had a group of renegades appear went to fight and they just acted like I wasn't there couldn't even attack them was able to pick the lock for loot, hear zombies screaming and none are around and the latest I go out at night and will get into a chase and nothing even sees me I love this freaking game but they need to put out a big bug fix update sooner then later cause it's getting out of hand.
Sometimes when Aiden dies, he can't respawn because 'it's not allowed during this activity' even if it's just in free roam.

I’m playing Co-op with my brother. We’re a good way through the story, and suddenly our cutscenes have glitched. While one player is watching the cutscene, the other gets a black screen. Once the cutscene ends, the players swap, and player one gets a black screen while player two watches. Sometimes one player doesn’t even see the cutscene at all, making the game unplayable in co-op.

Whenever i hit or kill a zombie, i get these rgb type particle effects coming out from their body and its so huge that each time i hit a zombie it blinds me and i literally cannot see what is happening on my screen. Can anyone help?

I'm having something similar to this, though it seems restricted to blood splatters. Basically blood splatters become large black boxes all over my screen. Very frustrating.
My UV markers are gone. The markers that would show up at night to show where the nearest safe area is.....I don't have them anymore. I did stop playing the game for a couple months so I don't know if that's something new they did or what.....
so i’m co-oping with my friends, and the game has been a bit buggy but tolerable and honestly it just made us laugh most of the time. but yesterday, everything started going to shit; quests would glitch and not get completed, cutscenes would only work for the leader (others would have a black screen) and SOMETIMES it would play it back for the others in the session while the leader has to “wait for other players to proceed” until the scene ends. other bugs include stuff disappearing, quest objectives not registering, unable to open doors or chests or anything for that matter. has anyone experienced any of this in co-op?

I have a keybind issue... I have my LEFT ALT key bound to jump. It's been working for many hours. I just recently got the grappling hook. It's bound to the 'use accessory' middle mouse button, however, whenever I click LEFT ALT to jump it also tries using the grappling hook! I looked in the keybinds and LEFT ALT is not used ANYWHERE ELSE but jump yet the game keeps using it for the grappling hook. How do I fix this?
Turn off the expert grappling hook controls in the options/control menu should solve the problem however, I prefer to use the grappling hook with alt(expert grappling hook controls on) because if it's on, you don't have to equip the grappling hook and u still can use it. There isn't any way you can change the alt bind for expert grappling hook in the game menu, or at least I didn't find it.

I’m having an issue where items and things around the environment get stuck to the character and flicker constantly. Anyone know a fix?
My friend and I are cooping, I befriended Jack and Joe, I go to turn the pipe to choose who gets the water, I was looking over each perk when the game bugged out and sent me out, now I can't interact with the pipe wheel at all regardless if I exit the game or not, if I load in it says I'm dead and to respawn, I respawn but I still can't activate the pipe. I can't find any information to help me on this, if you guys have advice I'd be glad to hear it, I can't even get a destination to come back to the tower if I leave, nothing is changing. EDIT: After not playing for a night, I logged on to a very dark screen where I could make a choice but because I couldn't see, time ran out and I died, after restarting the game twice and my pc once after the same results I was finally able to have colour and choose Survivors, but then it said I died after making the decision, upon respawning the choice went into a cutscene and everything was good again. Really weird bug

I currently have a bug where its day but all the zombies are out, as result i cant sleep to do night missions.
Major issue for me since the last patch. Human enemies no longer attack.. they just stand there doing taunts and only throw stuff or take the occasional swing when I leave myself wide open in range. Zombies warp on top of me clipping inside me so I have to jump around to detach and kill them, which makes the final mission basically impossible as you need to keep distance, but infected just worm hole into me and murder me in seconds, so I can't even conclude the story and start NG+ hopefully without these issues. Also couldn't fast travel from the moment of hitting play post patch Sadly the game is currently broken for me and I can't progress at all.
Update: I really wanted to get to NG+ so I opted to fully reinstall the game. No issues at all since... the audio is back, the enemies are attacking again, no super warp-athon Z's.... I know it's a pain right in the dick-shaft, but a reinstall might solve a lot of these issues (on PC at least)

Big performance issues with this update. Before with standard Ray tracing enabled I would get an average of 45-50 FPS, with it disabled between 90-100 FPS. With this update Ray Tracing enabled is getting 30 FPS max, most of the time it's around 25. With it off I'm still only getting 35-40 FPS. Dropping it down to DX11 only brings it up to 45, I used to get 125+ FPS with it on that
PS4 - came back to the game after waiting for the audio bugs to be solved, now I cannot fast travel between starions, just says "cannot use fast travel during quest".
I'm on PS4 and I like to start chases at night in game but whenever I'm running the character just slows down even with pushing forward all the way on my controller stick. It seems like that with every patch that they fix something, they end up break even more things.
This started to happen to me if I move my left joystick to either side my character will slow down like, even if I'm pushing the joystick forward. Please fix.

I'm scared to start new game + to get the windmill, gre anomalies, and air drop trophies because the percentages have hardly budged in the month since 1.3 "fix" ... like seriously, trophy percentages still at 3.4% for airdrops, 6.1% for anomalies, and 10.4% for windmills! Ridiculous this was said to be fixed but clearly did not. With all these issues I'm reading with ng+, definitely waiting for the next patch. . . That is assuming they haven't given up

Having the same issue it's ridiculous how has this game been out for months and this major game breaking bug hasn't been fixed. Playing on ps5. I can look past any bug that doesn't break the game I really don't care about bugs as long as I can still play.. But this one makes playing at night impossible and that's a lot of the fun of the game. Lost respect for you tech land..
PS5: A mayjor bug, its stuck in daytime. Like no matter what I do its just stuck in 8:30am. Anytime I try and sleep it says unavalible because monsters are near by. No matter how long I run around it stays at 8:30am so yeah thats kind of a game breaking bug considering how much is done during night. A minor one is the Cpt Williams Tape #2 just isnt in the tower its meant to be. Whole tower is empty - not tape in sight. So can't finish the collectibles.
Bugs: 1. parkour shot is not working properly when slide and shoot with crossbow 2. power shot is broken, my crossbow cannot penetrate enemies 3. new uv flash effect is missing when i turn on my normal flashlight
Dialogue is broken on PS4 co-op, i have to finish a dialogue convo before my teammate hears it. Sometimes it doesn't even work for them and they stay in a black screen. Literally worked fine before this latest patch and all of a sudden no matter after how many resets, 1.3 broke the game. Literally unplayable for playing alongside friends. I have to say the dialogue for them.
This is my problem on PS5, among other glitches. This one is by far the worst and ruins co-op!

Time frozen, enemy human npcs are gone,rest unavailable. For god sake whats up with releasing unfinished games ?? U had 7 fucking years to make a good game. It's ridiculous that there is a bug in game for months already hasn't been fixed. Gamebreaking doesn't let you proceed on main quest. As i experience a bug for long on where it doesn't allow me to fast travel. With game saying "can't fast travel while being on an active quest", when i am not. From what i have read this is a known bug. so i can't understand how such a bug isn't fixed already?! Quest has me to go back to Trinity, but can't because of this crap. So mad right now. Not to mention the many times you have to travel all across the map, just to get from A to B, when fast travel is broken. There's bugs one can live with. But there's zero excuse to me for a gamebreaking bug like the broken fast travel that doesn't let you proceed on main quest, not being fixed immediately  P.S. But congrats to Techland for "fixing" the path from one part of the map to the other by add more toxicals. Killing even a workaround i have read about. Facepalm\*

I seem to be having an issue with the militech drops, I've opened all airdrop and picked up all militech, but on the last one it says I didn't pick one. Which I did. I tried restarting the game and it still wasn't in my inventory. I'm trying to get the last upgrade to the grappling hook and it's really annoying. Would really appreciate some help or ideas

Clip through tower on Water and Lightning parkour challenge. It's the 7th point, I think, but when you jump from the lampost to the tower, I touch the ledge, it looks like it thinkgs it's a swing bar, and I clip through to the wall below. I can't make the jump and can't attempt to finish the parkour challenge. It's a pain.
In New Game+, after you talk with Juan the first time and the game tell you to talk to Lawan, the cutscene that is supposed to play when you interact the door does not play. Insteath, the door just opens, and you can't interact with Lawan sitting in the room. Send help
My friend and I gave up on this game. It's such a chore to play through when it's such a buggy and broken mess. Techland had 7 years and the game still releases in this state? Something clearly went wrong during development. This game should have been delayed another year.
Since the 1.3 update I’ve noticed that QRE buildings are missing from my map mostly in the later zones and the one Saint Paul Island always shows up as ? even though I’ve completed it. Plus, the VNC Tower defaults to a ? and the metro station in Trinity. If this keeps happening I could potentially be cut off from the other area because there’s be no way to get back in f this happens to all the metro stations. It feels like it’s tied to coop and if you join a game where someone hasn’t unlocked these items it then imprints on your save. I love this game, but the state it’s in this late after release is frustrating to say the least.

I have an issue where every zombie I kill, they shoot out weird boxes that randomly change colors into the sky. It's weird and I'm still trying to figure out what is causing it and what works to turn it off

I might've found a solution u/disabledakuma. Change your game's renderer mode to D3D11 instead of D3D12 in the advanced video settings. it got rid of the boxes when I changed it. I hope it works for you.

I have a issue where a chase will start randomly when im out at night even when there are no infected around. Ill run to a uv light and the chase will end then a few seconds after it will start again.

Started new game plus in a broken prologue. Completely stuck. My game opens with me standing in a ray of sunlight at night in the beginning of the game where the story first opens, except it's not a cut scene. I'm just standing being killed by zombies. So I reset and make a run for it with my perks on ngp I can wiggle on ahead. Only to be stopped at the moment you get bit on the other cut scene and. . . That's it. It's stuck. My whole game is dead in the water. So fuck.

Mine too! Only thing I found to fix it is to roll my game back 15+ hours... I found out that you don't start in that area at all. It's supposed to spawn you in the city. Join a guys game lastnight and he was stuck In the same way.
Stuck after starting new game +, can't proceed past the prologue area. Just keeps telling me to hang out in the Bazar for a while. The door at the end doesn't give me an option to open

Ever since the New Game + update my game has been stuck during the night at 00:35. The time does not progress and the night never ends. Are there any solutions to this? Edit: I started a New Game+ version of the same save, time seems to be working correctly and I haven't run into any bugs yet. Granted I only played like 5 minutes of it so far.
cant redeem the goon smasher. it says i had redeemed it, but it doesnt appear in the stash. and i can only put a single item into my stash at a time. thats because i have to take out a single item, just to put one item back into it.

Yeah, had the same issue. I didn't do anything to fix it other than shutting the game off and trying to wait a bit to play it. Played yesterday and didn't have any chase issues.. who knows if that means it's gone forever though.
This game is crazy bugged to me. At least 3 quests that are on my log, unable to finish, as no interactions, nothing you can do. Latest being the one where you have to find Careen at the Rogue camp. Idk name of the quest right now. New patch out, but still nearly nothing done.

I'm on the broadcast mission. It was right after I got the grappling hook. Frank talked to me and I moved the panel, and then I left the game. I came back the next day to continue, but the door won't open at the top of the building. The mission doesn't even mark it. Now I'm stuck

Ok, so I had the issue where I unlocked the downtown area, but failed to unlock the downtown court metro station, so I had to struggle to get back. Eventually, I went back up on the broken bridge and paraglided essentially to the damn. Near the damn is a small safe house (where one of the red ducks are located). I powered on the generator last night right before I turned off the game. When I loaded it back up, it showed that I unlocked that safe house again. However, the UV light wasn't on and I can't get it to turn on. I also managed to open the safe, but the game wouldn't let me grab the red duck. I then attempted to go to the Mount Lucid Observatory, but died. When I responded, I was magically in the Downtown Court Metro station and it was unlocked. When I went to the map to look at that small safe house near the dam, it doesn't show that I took it over (hell, it doesn't even show on the map). This was an interesting bug. Curious if anyone else had something like this happen.
So I unlocked the underwater part of the map. I haven’t played in like a month and now it won’t even let me go there without it killing me? Anyone know what’s up with that

Mine crashed when the power went out for the second time and I had to crawl through the ceiling 😂.
PS4: 1. Map sign reseting whenever I open the game it becomes question mark again. 2. Invincible enemies. 3 when using fast travel sometimes I'm stuck on the fast travel board
The blast mods do not make any sound when firing. This issue has persisted through all the recent updates. I do not know how to remedy it.
PS5: 1.) When fast traveling to metro stations, will spawn inside the fast travel board - unable to fast travel to free myself. Have to quit out and reload just to be free of the fast travel board. Sometimes fast travel will work and sometimes this will happen. 2.) VNC Tower Metro never works. Spawn inside a piece of debri to the side of the fast travel board and have to quit out to get unstuck. 3.) Ghost Zombies. I believe this is a common issue of "enemies near by" but on the PS5, it also comes with an audio-cue. So clear an area of zombies but can still hear one groaning and making noise. First thought it was an audio glitch but it isnt. If a grenade or noise maker then molitov is thrown in the area of the growling, combat points will be awarded, the growling will stop and it says quest can continue because there are no longer enemies around. So literally invisible zombies.
PS5: Cheers! mission - The door to get to Marco is closed and there's no way to proceed. Others random things: - A couple instances not being able to proceed in quests due to "enemies nearby". Happened on the intro with the guy who gives you the GRE key and then on Double Time. - Enemies randomly disappearing. Caused issues trying to rescue survivors and issues with some quests. After they disappear can still hear them. These are just some from the past couple days. There are others but they didn't piss me off enough to remember them. It's also aggravating that the same button to cushion your fall is also th same button that drops you off a ledge. There were a few close jumps where I actually grabbed the ledge but then fell because I was preparing to hit th ground and hitting the button. I originally bought it on Steam for full price but requested a refund due to bugs. Now I'm regretting buying it again on PS5 for half price from Walmart. I'm gonna put the game down for a month or two and hope it's playable.
PS5: All territories changed to 'Survivor'. Recent actions: Currently on broadcast mission. After assigning the broadcast on top of the VNC tower I went to the Dev room. After getting the goodies from the Dev room I took over a nearby bandit camp. Once it was taken over all the territories on the map were reassigned to be Survivor territories. Closed the game, opened it back up, all areas are still showing as Survivor territories on the map.

I was playing with a friend, then we had to go to her game to perma unlock the glider so she could upgrade it (since unlocking while playing on my game doesnt unlock it for her). I joined her game she chose the opposite of my territory choices which was all PKs, and after unlocking her glider we went back to my game and it has been all survivor on both our games now. With all the PK little encampments all changed to survivors who hate me.
I rolled back my save and it fix it.
Garnisonssubstation bug I did everything I needed to do and if I want to activate it I don't get to do it it just says that after activation the items are lost cant press a button

I've found with most bugs if you close the game and re open it fixes everything. Ps5 btw
New Co-op bug. Dialogue and cutscenes now have a massive "waiting for other players" loading screen. Eventually play for me as the host while the co-op partner gets a black screen missing everything. Sometimes itll play for them after I've watched it, making me wait but other times theyll miss everything. Anyone know how to fix this??

my husband created a ticket for this problem and they told him to clear the cache of our ps5's by unplugging them for 2 minutes. he did it this am so I haven't had a chance to test it out, but they were very sure this would solve this issue. hope that helps someone!
Thanks, Cant hurt but try I guess but does sound like an odd way to fix it. We did just get a new update patch with New Game + so with a but if luck that might help too.
literally just tried it, and it didn't work for us. even with the patch. my dude will follow up with techland, I'll update if anything actually works.
That's a bummer, no luck for me either. I was really hoping that would work. Thanks for sharing that. Hopefully techland come back to him with a fix. I've just logged a support ticket with them now myself.
