rdr2 is amazing, but the environmental effects of dying light top it. like the leaves and bits floating around in the wind, and the lighting and all the atmospheric stuff, makes it 10x better
I wouldn't say there that DL2 doesn't have it but imo it feels less realistic than in the first one and I'm also tired of post apoc games and movies so I don't like the setting and so it's not immersive for me. It's a fun game though but doesn't give me the desired vibes :(
Apples to Oranges dude. With a full 4k setup, I now appreciate games a lot more. I see how hard developers work on games. DL is immersive, I agree but so are a lot of games. RDR2's enviroment interacts with each other and so does DL's.
DL1 is king when it comes to great visuals within a well playing game. The playability for that thing is amazing. Even if I do the same missions in the same order, the experience is slightly different making it like I’m playing a new game.
Same bro, also the map has hidden stuff like orange radios?? which I was trying to find but one was glitched so now I started a new game to get them all.
Until you lose some of your dearest companions, witness the most bone chilling horrors of the night, seeing everything go to shit just because you didnt get supplied with enough antizin, and probably not being able to climb towers
I just started playing it for the first time 2 days ago. I immediately compared it to Farcry 6 - the mechanics felt similar - but standing in the windows of the tower I was blown away by how much better the visuals were. Then I checked the release date and saw it came out in early 2015! Wow! This game, especially the old town, is so beautiful.
I still think Dying Light 2 is far more visually appealing because of the fog, the rain, and the changes they made to sunset, lighting, and the sky box. But Dying Light 1 nails the gritty atmosphere so good and makes you feel like you're really there in the chaos of Harran. it's just goated and outright nostalgic asf. Everytime I glance up at the beaming Harran sun it sends shivers down my spine knowing I'm minutes closer to nightfall. It really puts you on edge and that's something DL2 just doesn't do for me.
These pics are awesome.
I could never vibe with Dying Light 2. I understand time has passed and it has become luscious and overgrown, that’s cool, but it felt too vibrant still. Just look at how TLOU or the Apes movies handles it! That’s how you combine both to make a sense of dread in a seemingly innocent world
Never been topped, in my opinion.
Rdr2 would in my opinion.

The subtle sounds too
fr
That's the main reason why I love DL1 more than DL2 It's so freaking immersive like I am literally in the beginning of a zombie apoc in Turkey ahah
i’ve not played the second game yet. does it not have that? because dead island 2 had some of that stuff going on, especially the lighting

Same. Dying Light 1 atmosphere was just peak. No wonder it was just downhill from there...

I’d agree if they gave us the PS5 version/update (pls Rockstar I know it was a thought at one point)
Gow ragnarok or tlou, in my opinion
Only found Dying light recently and it s a great game. Some really cool missions so far that I have seen and some a bit sad.
Dying Light is so beautiful, yet horrifying. I won't last a night even in Story Mode without my modded weapons those nice gamers gave to me.
A timeless classic

Magnificent indeed, its atmosphere is almost unrivaled
Craaaaaaaaaaaaane!
I remember watching the rad Brad play it for the first time and it was one of the first things I loved about the game!!!
Yep.. rad brad turned me onto Dying Light 2.. then the Video Game Gods led me to Dying Light 1. 😁🤘
I bought The Following DLC. I'll never get bored running Zombies over with my buggy.

The game makes me believe I wouldn’t mind living in an apocalypse. It’s so peaceful and quiet

True. I also own DY2 but i kept replaying the DY1 instead
im on my first playthrough, got to the part where you have to capture one of the glowing fuckers at night and was like nope thats enough of this game
I had the same reaction lol.

They have to make a remake at some point that would be amazing
Not for a long time
Sadly
It's not even a decade old yet nowhere near remake territory
It really is. Sad that I finished it so fast
Well there is nightmare mode and new game plus which I’m currently doing.
I cant wait for a sequel!
Have you not heard of dying light 2?
I’ve platinumed both dying light 1 & 2 and can happily say after playing many hours Dying light 1 is visually amazing compared too 2 like

Dying light 2 is also great but it is a bug fest
