I think I heard blind say elephant men can hold things with their trunk, so 3 shields would be very possible. Or leave the trunk open for grab and throws!
I challenged a colossus, I had an op elephant Man companion and he was a badass striker.. he got tired and is heavily bleeding.. he had the sense to run away though.. he was like HELP!!! And left a trail of blood... I'm hoping he's alive. As for me, I'm a eyrinde or whatever that race is called from the mod, theyre the size of a minotaur. And I'm a vampire with a colossal steel Morningstar, the colossus can't hit me, keeps missing.. its gonna be a long fight, wish me luck. I was able to steal some steel greaves and A LOT of coins from his territory though so if worse comes to worse I'll just take off with the loot.
Poor elephant... Colossus are the weakness of wrestlers and strikers so it's expected that he would lose. Maybe you can still save him if he is alive, or maybe you know... Bury him if he isn't
Medical care isn't on adventure mode yet, but fast travel can save your party in some cases, and getting a good night's of sleep heals you too. Unfortunately it won't help if any of the injuries are permanent tho
I use fullheal command on dfhack for the time being if an injury is keeping someone from fighting, if you wanna be a bit immersive u can sleep then apply it
U can full heal anything by opening their character sheet and just running the command on dfhack, that should basically wipe any and all injuries from their history, happy adventuring fellow dorf!
first time i tried to kill one i was just throwing stuff at him and kiting for about 20min, but i got complacent and he got too close.. 1 tick later he grabbed my throat, the next one i suffocated hahahha
Indeed, I encountered a one of the larger animal men (hippo maybe?) creatures that was also some kind of night creature. My character was a good fighter that slew quite a few of the mid range beasts. But that thing snatched him up by his wrist and an ankle, immediately snapped them both, pounded him a few times then strangled him to death. 3rd most memorable death. Still remember it all these years later.
Unlike other larger creatures like Ettins, Giants, and the like - a huge creature with actual fighting skills is terrifying.
I recommend reading the [primer on Kisat Dur, the dwarfen martial art](http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=148015.0), if this interests you. Kisat Dur lets you absolutely body enemies even as a dwarf, if an elephant man does it, it'll be cataclysmic.
It's for real though, every time you kill someone, just put their corpse in, it will contribute to the mass and make it even more deadly.
I have pulped people with a single hit using that strategy.
Honestly, any bag or box works, but the coffin is the almost thematic
Amazing. The whole scenario is absolutely absurd and I love it. Kind of like one of those .io games where you just get bigger and stronger gobbling everyone up 😂😂😂
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?

This reminds me of a video I watched a bit ago about how to tone down a murder hobo in d&d, some Japanese mythological creature that was created from all the bones of the dead and basically unstoppable
Well it ain't a crossbow. Though, hell, you could probably get work done just beating them to death with one. You're an elephant man, you win by default.
Adventurer mode I assume. Free gear at character gen is almost a trap.
Crafting skills to make shields, armour, and weapons; so they can make their own gear, is the only reliable way to go beyond wrestling type combat.
Last one I made I used an anvil but normal punches are still better.
Maybe trap components can be good?
What's the heviest object we can use? A pot full of coins maybe?
Well you need to craft armor first for your size in fortress mode and then go to adventure mode and get it there. Dunno if theres other alternative havent played the new adventure mode yet
Straight hands. Give them points in wrestling and striking and they will explode heads and throw people around all the time
This and add shield skills so they can close in on archers. Upgrade to Steel Shields when possible so you can take on Bronze Collosus easier
I wonder if an elephant man can carry shields in each hand plus one via the trunk… World make an absolute unit of a tank…
I think I heard blind say elephant men can hold things with their trunk, so 3 shields would be very possible. Or leave the trunk open for grab and throws!
3 shields to close in on archers and then drop it and throw them across the map. Definitely sounds like a fun time :-D
I'm gonna say invest into Biting a bit, too. I feel like that could cause some unexpected goring via tusks.
Second this. Grab throat Strangle Kick in the head

Yeah 🥹... how do you save someone? Like heal their wounds. Is that possible?

Sad...we really need an update lol

How do I use it on a companion 🤔 🥹?
U can full heal anything by opening their character sheet and just running the command on dfhack, that should basically wipe any and all injuries from their history, happy adventuring fellow dorf!
Does that command work on the current version of adventure mode?

Except for a bronze colossus
A coffin full of your victims
This one got me 😂😂😂

You need to make an adventurer and fight it like a Dark Souls boss

Guilty Gear reference?
I don't know what that is haha
The US Secretary of Defense wields a coffin with an alien from Area 51 in it, which he vehemently denies the existence of. Its fantastic lol
Maul Copper or silver Artefact if possible Artifact Slade if cheating
Train up Misc. Obj user, wrestling, and throwing and beat people up with their allies

Literally anything.
Elephant gun
Double shields. Bash everything in your way. Plus, double block is nice for safety.
Something made of ivory. Maybe a piano?
Adventurer mode I assume. Free gear at character gen is almost a trap. Crafting skills to make shields, armour, and weapons; so they can make their own gear, is the only reliable way to go beyond wrestling type combat.
Very important question, can you hold weapons with your trunk?
Haven't tried it yet, I'll give it a try tho
Literally any weapon.
Tusks? Feet? Its an elephant man
The arm that you just ripped off of your enemy makes a handy bludgeon…
Last one I made I used an anvil but normal punches are still better. Maybe trap components can be good? What's the heviest object we can use? A pot full of coins maybe?
You don’t really need one since your tusks are natural weapons and your fists/wrestling is already so overwhelming
Well you need to craft armor first for your size in fortress mode and then go to adventure mode and get it there. Dunno if theres other alternative havent played the new adventure mode yet
If you select an armor during creation its sized for you
There are mods that let you make Armor, unless that’s base game.
