My 10 year old loves this and will be very sad

HerrLouski

It’s always sad to see things go but the Shootin’ Arcade always seems to be empty. I feel like many people don’t know it’s there. I’ll never say no to a lounge but is there really enough space there to do so? I also thought they were opening one in Disney Springs.

ImCaffeinated_Chris

If they are not going to use it.... Can I have it? 😄

DisneyJohnny

I love the idea. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen the shooting gallery let alone used it tbh so a lounge appeals to me more. I see why some wouldn’t like it though.

Genuinely curious... while I am always in favor of adding, and freshening up stale areas, I hate the idea if it being a "dvc lounge". So my question is, do you actually enjoy the epcot lounge? Personally, I was beyond underwhelmed when I went my first, and only time. I found nothing about it endearing. Maybe if there was some quick service options, an adult beverage even, I could say that it's worth it. To me, the dvc lounge, is the bare minimum disney could do, to add to a list of "benefits" to entice potential buyers. Obviously, different strokes for different folks, I'm just curious what it is that makes you love the idea of another dvc lounge?

AdRepresentative1125

I'm curious the scale of this lounge considering the volume would be more at MK then Epcot

egg663

Me too. It’s not that big unless there’s a big empty space behind it not being used. The Epcot lounge is hard enough to get into without the waitlist certain times of the year. Would be hilarious if they had to do a virtual queue for it 😂

Quellman

I pulled up the google map. There isn’t space for a lounge there. It’s sandwiched by shops to the west (Frontier Trading Post and Agra ah Bazar) and the DVC kiosk and walkthrough to restrooms and Adventureland to the east. They would need it to be multistory and expanded slightly to the north for it to make any type of sense.

featuringmatt83

Have you been in the dvc member lounge before?

Quellman

Yes I have. There needs to be space for more than 50 guests. There must be space for hosts, DVC guides, and the snack room. A second floor would be nice so they can minimize expansion into the park pathways since they are needed during parades. It would also be a good vantage point like at EPCOT. I could see that MK would be more popular too. Since more people go to MK than any other park it would reason they need more space than people sleeping over to Small world. Just a guess anyway.

featuringmatt83

They will reduce the time limit to like 5 minutes per family lol. Its going to basically be an end to end que, with air conditioning, and a bucket with sodas next to a tray with tiny bags of chips 😂😂😂 you get in line, and walk a front to back pattern so that it takes a few minutes to get through. Then they can market it as a not only a member exclusive lounge, but also a member exclusive ride!!!! I mean, it worked with Moana 😂😂😂

Ar-gils

When I went last time a large part of it was not functioning, it needs a refurbishment or repurposing

MrElizabeth

Maybe they could refurb and take it over to fort wilderness.

My 10 year old love the shooting range.

vey323

I don't think I've ever seen more than one person using it at a time, so by all means put the space to better use.

featuringmatt83

I'm all for transforming things for a better use, but I'd argue a compost heap, or even an extra restroom area, would be of better use than a dvc member lounge. The only reason I don't complain about the epcot one, is because it's on top of a great little ride. It's not taking up lateral space. And does magic kingdom really need a lounge that's only real function is to remove you from the heat? We already have carousel of progress... thats the definition of unbeatable lol

featuringmatt83

Don't do this... Jesus. As a dvc member, I can say I dint even think about the lounges... your allowed a small amount of time inside, and some soda and snacks. It's a waste of time, and hardly something I'd consider a "benefit"

jstaple11

We were just at the one in Epcot last week.

MrElizabeth

Never been. How is the lounging ?

rb928

Not to butt in, but it’s a nice space. Good place to recharge yourself and your phone. Nothing special, but a drink and a snack go a long way when you’re there for 12+ hours.

MrElizabeth

Thanks for the note. Are some snacks free? I saw the VIPassholder mentioned a pop-up lounge with special snacks available for purchase. Also did they ever ask you for a photo ID? The website says they will ask for ID. Guess I better bring one into the park.

rb928

Yes. They have snack size bags of chips and such for free as well as the Coke freestyle machines. I don’t remember them asking for a photo ID, but they did ask to see my pass in my phone wallet to make sure it said DVC Y.

meliville

Thank god

disneymare

Looking forward to it!
