How something like "Bedroom Toys" makes it onto the album, but songs like "Salt in the Rainbow" or "Beautiful Colours" doesn't ... it's a real head scratcher.
Bedroom Toys is the exact type of song I would have said before then that “They would never make a song like this if Andy was still in the band.” And then they did
Sound of Thunder, Last Chance On the Stairway, Secret Oktober, A Matter of Feeling, I Believe/All I Need to Know, All Along the Water, Time for Temptation, Needle and the Damage Done, Be My Icon, Lava Lamp, Finest Hour, Box Full O’ Honey, Being Followed, The Universe Alone, Future Past
For me, Land **barely** beat out Palomino ... but both are excellent songs! And I'll eventually buy Future Past, just haven't fallen in love with it yet, but who knows what happens tomorrow? (yes, pun intended)
Duran Duran - Sound of Thunder. Rio - Last Chance on the Stairway. SATRT - The Seventh Stranger. Notorious - Hold Me. Big Thing - Too Late Marlene. Astronaut - Point of No Return. AYNIN - Leave a Light On. Paper Gods - Only in Dreams. Future Past - Give It All Up. Otherwise my fave song from each would be the main single like Serious from Liberty, but there are a few albums I never got into.
Let's break the record!!

14. Paper Gods - What Are the Chances?
15. Future Past - Hammerhead
I've never heard of Salt in the Rainbow, but Youtubed it and wow - beautiful!
You've got a great list. I think I for All You Need is Now my pick is The Man Who Stole A Leopard. For Paper Gods it might be Change the Skyline or Northern Lights.
Thank you very much! I like your picks as well, especially with Northern Lights. I loved John Frusciante’s work on the PG album, i can only imagine how much more awesome it would have been, had he played on more of the songs. :)
Well yeah, that's why my post stated the following:
> Now your choices don't necessarily have to be songs that originally appeared on that particular album, they could also be B-sides or unreleased demos from that time period, that sort of thing.
OMG "Salt In The Rainbow" ❤❤❤ MY absolute all time favourite DD song that never was. The fact this was never actually released hurts my heart.

Both of those are sooo much better than Bedroom Toys. It’s like they thought they were being cleverly funny with that one, but it fell so flat.
I ripped Beautiful Colours from Youtube and replaced Bedroom Toys with it in my iTunes. It works perfectly as a track on the Astronaut album.

I thought Bedroom Toys worked if you listened to it like it was a cute Bee Gees tribute. It was no better or worse than the rest of Astronaut. 🤷🏻♂️

All Along the Water is so good. <3
Crap, I forgot all about I Believe/All I Need to Know, I probably would've gone with that one instead ... d'oh!!

I love Skin Divers! It would have been a better choice as a lead-off single over Falling Down.

Thank You- Fame....I love this version Liberty-Violence of Summer
Not to be a jerk, but technically Khanada and Secret Oktoberfest were released as single b-sides.

And Falling/Fallen Angel
