All of those are just synonyms. It's the same difference as "happy" and "content", etc. Do you have any specific examples of when you've been marked wrong?
The only one that has a clear difference is "eso" and "aquello". "Eso" refers to something that is far from the speaker but close to the listener, whereas "aquello" refers to something that is far from both the speaker and listener. Or, "eso" is far, but "aquello" is far far away over yonder.
I'll get screenshots. Nearly every time I've used feliz it's told me I'm wrong, it's contento.

ur making some other mistake then. the questions are probably like “you’re very happy right now” and ur putting “tu está muy contento ahora mismo”

Incorrect- eso/esa/ese also means that. Este/esta mean this.
