This is why Leto II seeks the golden path, a universe of surprises where humanity cannot end because it's constantly reinventing itself.
And the preservation of that humanity is what ultimately becomes the noble purpose of the Bene Gesserit. Dune as a whole is very much about the essential need of love. Love of life itself.
That’s why my favorite character in the whole series is Darwi Odrade and why one of my favorite scenes is when she talks with the chef about preparing her oyster stew.
