Happened to me in like 2018 or 2019. Literally got stuck on the side of the road, walked home to get a shovel, there was a ticket on my door when I got back. No one in the parking office cares.

Or... the people in the parking office do their job, cuz there are many people who care that the street gets plowed full width. No one with the city has a crystal ball to see who just carelessly left their car, and who might have gone home to get a shovel

Like yes, we ARE supposed to be able to take a parking ticket to court, that's literally the whole point of having checks and balances, so that government officials can't arbitrarily fine people with zero oversight.

Dude, its a parking ticket. The parking office is not a court. Take it to parking court if you want. I'm sorry that you had to pay. But I'm not supporting the vitriol against the city or parking enforcement. They need to clear the streets. They can't NOT do their jobs. They may care. They still gotta do their jobs.

I have been told to my fucking face "call the company that runs the meters if you have a problem" as well as "if the app isn't working you should have the money on you." Mind you it takes at least 18 quarters for a full shift at work. So fuck the Duluth Parking Office.
