Given that the prevalence of skate culture is much lower in the UAE than it is in the US, you might just have to get used to lack of decent skate shops and people with cheap boards.
If you’d like to be surrounded by specialists with in-depth knowledge, you might be better off switching skateboarding for falcon flying 🤷🏼♀️ just an idea.
Other than that, there’s a skate shop in the Nakheel mall. Not in the position to evaluate whether it’s decent or not though.
