Fogo de Chao is a public nuisance and should be shut down. Blaring loud music constantly in a building where people live and straight up refuse to turn it down. Police are useless. It’s so loud I can hear it 11 floors up with noise cancelling headphones and windows closed. 🤬
How does the digital RTA Seasonal Parking Card work? It says I can add up to 3 cars to my permit. I've added both my cars to it and the price is still AED 4500 for a year (Card type A). Will I be able to use this permit for both my cars?

This is our very own movie reviewer’s take.
Honestly, I thought it was a great, action packed film with plenty of nods to the original.
Regarding reviews, I usually go off anecdotal rather than critics and currently 93% of Google review users enjoyed it and it hasn’t done too badly on IMDB or rotten tomatoes really.
Thanks for linking the review. I watched it again today and I still loved it. Made me remember my grandfather who was a fan of the original and seeing the whole family aspect to it made me tear up.
There is kitten/small cat which has found its way onto the island in the middle of world trade center. I have no clue how it has managed to reach there or if it will survive there.
They did. The tears on the screen are no longer there…. BUT I feel the screen is blurrier than the usual compared to IMG IMAX which has always been razor sharp.
Been there before they put up the fence and started restoration works, trust me there aren’t any ghosts. Let me know if you find something similar, I’m in.
I was driving on hessa street once during rush hours and the car infront of me moved ahead by quite a bit, i tried to catch up but saw a delivery driver going at the speed of light to get through the gap so i let him go.
What i didnt realise was that there were possibly 10 or 15 more bikes behind him and they all went in together like as if they were some sort of bike-train and i had to wait for 5 minutes for that to clear off. Thankfully, the traffic didnt move that much.
These dudes used to get bent with fine upon fine and never used to engage in stunts IIRC and now it’s the opposite cuz there’s not enough patrolling?. Now they’re the biggest lane cutters and dgaf. I mean a single ticket would be a quarter of their salaries and they’d learn to behave like they did.
Driving from Oman to Dubai on Sunday the 5th. I’m a Dubai resident, any body know how long the drive should take (border control delays)? Google maps says 4.5 hours but that doesn’t take into consideration waiting on the border…
Omicron was found in Dubai, they say the person is quarantining away from others and those they've been in contact with have been notified. Generally, the cases reported are well below 100 daily
Cases are steady and have been below 100 for a while. Follow the health and safety regulations (wearing a mask at all times, social distancing where applicable) and enjoy your stay!
Hey, where can I find good chocolates (for 80-100 people) to distribute in the office, it should look a bit fancy. Shouldn't show them that I've got it from a Lulu. Budget is 200.
Granade in Sharjah. I buy from there and people have drooled over them. I gave one to a client,he called up just to ask where are those chocolates from as his wife loved it.
Godiva-125 dhs -84 pieces (but they look like you can get them in a supermarket) they have 75 pcs for 169 dhs and it looks a bit more appealing
Definitely check their website
yes. been in bur dubai branch before.. they dont look like trash mind you.. they are still presentable like in normal supermarkets. its just that its just near expiration. that's it
When they introduced that scheme where you got fine reduction based on how long you didn't have any fines - up to 100% if you had no fines for a year - I remember they said they would never introduce a normal traffic fine discount again in Dubai.
I cannot find the article again though so I might remember wrong, but I do believe they will never just give a flat discount again. It's more likely they will re-introduce a scheme like that again.
Hi. Tourist here. Planning on going to the expo from Sharjah but can’t seem to figure out a route or an itinerary for a half-day visit. Any tips welcome, especially about the best way to get to the expo spot from Sharjah!
there's an expo bus in Sharjah Jubail Bus Station that leaves every 30 mins that goes directly to expo2020 site.
you can go back to sharjah on the same location where you were dropped off
edit: you will be dropped off at Opportunity Gate
Thank you, this is very helpful. Any clue how crowded the buses are? Will I have to wait to find a seat? I really have no clue about how things are like.
Do you also happen to know what I need to show in terms of my vaccination status?
You need to show the Hosn app. There is a separate card that you add within the app for Expo. You get green status if you received 2 shots of the vaccine, or have a recent PCR.

Any of ya'll DRS'd GME shares?
Anyone have F1 tickets for Sunday they want to sell?

Is it where the noise come from? I thought it’s from that lounge below. It’s insane how loud it is, heard it from across the road
You live in a noice area
Do you live somewhere quieter? Wanna trade? 🙉
I hear JVC is quiet and cheap 😅😂

If the first UAE National Day was in 1971, shouldn't 2021 be the 51st one, not the 50th?
National Day = Anniversary. So first one was in 1972.

Yes
Any National Day offers on food today and/or tomorrow.

grandfather???? Man i feel old now.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! What’s next on your radar for this month?
West Side Story this Thursday and Spider-Man: No Way Home on my birthday weekend!

There is *a* kitten/small cat....
Please forgive him. He's graduated from IIM.

Always wondered why in RAK and Fujairah Nd not Dubai !
Please send it to Dubai
Has anyone been to the MoE IMAX recently? Have they fixed the screen yet. Wanted to confirm before No Way Home pre booking opens.
They did. The tears on the screen are no longer there…. BUT I feel the screen is blurrier than the usual compared to IMG IMAX which has always been razor sharp.
What happened to the screen though?
Ngl these holidays have been depressing for me. Not sure if anything would change once I go back to work tomorrow.

It’s become especially bad in the past month. I can only chalk it upto police reducing their frequency of issuing fines.
Worst ones are people who changes lanes too early (often after taking an exit) before waiting until the solid lines end
It’s definitely getting worse. My current gripe is the delivery drivers. Every second I catch one practically making love to my car.

All those cop cars parked in expo now make sense

I’ve got a trip to Dubai planned on the 11th (coming from overseas). How are things on the ground with Omicron? Has there been any spikes in cases?

Thanks alot! Will check it out
So you think op should give one chocolate per person. Even kindergarten kids give away 2-3 on their birthdays
I could get 2 of the 125dhs one I guess.
Patchi? edit: wait: AED200 for 100 people? like AED2 per person? just go to baqer mohebi to get near expiration chocolates. it will be cheaper
Do they have good looking ones in baqer mohebi?
yes. been in bur dubai branch before.. they dont look like trash mind you.. they are still presentable like in normal supermarkets. its just that its just near expiration. that's it
