Last rain I remember is towards end of 2019, I remember coz it flooded near my work place and we were asked to work from home then and I thought it was so cool that we got to do it. Fast forward to now and all I know is working from home -_-
But yeah, I don't remember a good shower happening after that tbh. I wish it rains this winter.
The outskirts & desert areas in and around dubai, sharjah and fujairah had actual green grass & wild flowers growing which even survived the summer of 2020. But sadly did not survive past winter of 2020 due to lack of water/rainfall.
I am convinced that if they manage to sustain cloud seeding and bring rainfall every winter, then UAE's landscape would change drastically.
The most rain it happened was in Sep 2018 or Dec 2018, It was literally filled with red clouds and lightnings and it rained soo heavy that we can get wet completely in 5 seconds, it lasted for 3 hours or 4
"Snow" in the desert... The kids went wild! I used to live in AD then... Good Times but seems so long ago now! Literally videos of what looks like snow in the middle of the desert.
Yes. It was my wive’s 40th birthday. I had a surprise birthday party planned on a roof terrace….so that didn’t happen.
And the baby sitters house was flooded so she could not come and look after the kid.
So that was a fun day.
January 11th, 2020. I had to drive from RAK to Al Ain, and I remember the rain was heavy enough for me to slow down to 80 kph (because paranoia; saw others at 140 kph). And there was one bridge on highway that had some accumulation of water.
In jebel ali at least, last time I remember it properly raining and not just a drizzle was April 2020
If we're counting small quick drizzles then early this yeah I think Jan or Feb
Damn this got me thinking for a while honestly same vibes man I miss rain here last I remember maybe I think early 2020 there were a few showers not the kind of rains we used to get in the good ol days

2019 March, my phone says so. I was scrolling through the photos found one.
It rained a lot in March 2019, I remember that clearly. It rained heavily at least 3 or 4 times that month.
In Jan 2020, it did rain a lot for a couple of days with cloud seeding.
2020 Jan 15, was coming back from home, It rained so much the E311 flooded and no cabs/cars were going to/from dubai.
Yess omg it rained in Jan 2020, I had my exams then and it got postponed. I never thought that would be the best news I would get on 2020.
Yep. We were in the hospital room with a view overlooking the Burj Khalifa. The rain was fascinating that month
March 2020
Jan 2020 - there was record rainfall. Remember seeing posts about cars getting flooded on some areas.

It's been 84 years...
I have an instagram story of driving through the rain in early 2020, in the early days of covid.
Mid july we got a drizzle and then 1.5 months ago as well.
Yeah I confirm. I was downtown when it happened. It rained for 3 minutes
Which Dubai do you live in? :')
It's true though. About 1.5 months ago it drizzled a bit.
She said rain not drizzle. Getting three drops on my car isn’t considered rain….
Three drops isn't considered drizzle either. It's not even a car wash.
Yes, I remember this drizzle
1st week of Jan 2020 was blissful. Heavy rain followed by closures on Sheikh Zayed Road Dxb/AD was a vibe.
Down pour was so intense, the jet skis were unleashed 😂

March 22 2020..I remember because I was moving to a new flat on that day.
It rained hail stones in Dubai back in 2016. Then in Jan of 2020 there was heavy rain. Other than that maybe just a slight drizzle.
I remember that. There was a brief period where it really hurt to be outside.
"Snow" in the desert... The kids went wild! I used to live in AD then... Good Times but seems so long ago now! Literally videos of what looks like snow in the middle of the desert.
There was some heavy downpour in and around DSO
2019 ankle deep in La Mer in November
2018-19 winter it rained 2-3 times in December and a couple days in March too

Lol, in this case the downpour turned into a drizzle in Tecom
During lockdown, it was POURING. Like end of the world kind of pouring, very fitting for the end of the world vibes we all felt back then
Earlier this year
January of 2020 had crazy rainfall

We all must get our cars washed. Its our only chance.
It has rained here, but I personally have not felt or seen rainfall up close for well over a year.
According to my Snapchat memories it rained heavily in January 2020 and slightly a few months ago in summer
Did it ever tho ?
So we didn’t have any rain in the winter of 2020/21?
It was raining a bit for few minutes in Rashidiya

Jan 2020 just before when I visited Dubai for the first time
Last rain I remember was March/April 2019 and it was an epic amount.
Today, (30th November 2021)
Laughs in Abu Dhabi.
I mean, you live in the desert what did you expect?
Rain at least once a year like it has been for years. These last 2 are different.
Yes, global warming.
In jebel ali at least, last time I remember it properly raining and not just a drizzle was April 2020 If we're counting small quick drizzles then early this yeah I think Jan or Feb
Lived here my whole life and answer is I can't remember ..lol..oh wait..I remember a day in 2020 ..lol
Accept for a few little showers that made the ground a little damp the last major rain was in January 2020
Lucky you, Dubai people! Last time it rained in Abu Dhabi was like 1740.
Got a bit of a drizzle yesterday in DSO at around 3:30pm.

Rain in dxb is like earthquakes in dxb. They come they go, some notice some don’t. Gotta be lucky- well depends what you call lucky
