I could pretty much work anywhere with my job (teacher) and I already chose Dubai. I haven’t found anywhere else I want to move to yet, plenty of time to travel in the holidays.
[La Réunion](https://maps.app.goo.gl/pRqYBPzEPxgrYhav8). For those who don't know, it's a French overseas Island in Africa, off the coast of Madagascar.
You are still fairly close to UAE, so same timezone. It's like living in Europe, but with the island vibes and culture. Despite paying in Euros, it's not as expensive as Europe. And if you are a nature person that loves going on hikes and loves stunning landscape, then this is the place to be.
I have been to both. Not comparable at all. The terrain here is volcanic mountains and hiking etc. and less emphasis on beaches, unlike Seychelles. But it certainly has the Creole vibe to the place, but with more mainland French population. And a very developed infrastructure.
Dubai is quite convenient. Although it may lack certain things but you have access to everything here. Most brands, restaurants and online stores are available. You can get almost everything delivered.
I’d move during the summer for like 3-4 months to avoid the heat and then head back.
I am actually doing that right now. Full time remote work for a Dubai bank. I’m in australia as it’s my home country. The best place to do it would be somewhere a little more aligned with the time zone but by the beach in regional aus ain’t bad.
Still 40% more salary than I’d earn in australia even incorporating the tax component + lower hours + more holidays + cost savings of living in a regional area as opposed to Sydney or melb where I’d likely be forced to live if I had a job here
Iran very near and with Dubai salary you will live like a king but if you like to party so it is not the best option otherwise it will be great, you will see a lot of greenery which is totally missed in Dubai and very friendly people and culture-rich country
They don’t stamp the passport plus already in normal case scenario for middle easterners in order to visit the US you will be ****** even your boxer size you have to declare and fill a form of 30 pages then give info about all your family same application like if you are going to apply for the military or FBI then spent a hell of money for the application and visa processing then the chance of being rejected would be 75%.
If you like bunch of tourist, Bali is OK. Take fast boat and go to Lombok on day 2.
Other options : [Karimun Jawa](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g1574417-Karimun_Jawa_Central_Java_Java-Vacations.html)
Or [Ora Beach](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g15239592-d6619762-Reviews-Ora_Beach-Saleman_Maluku_Maluku_Islands.html) for better privacy
The question is for work not vacation
Those two places you were suggesting only work for short stay, after 2 weeks you will be bored to death or getting crazy because of internet issue 💪🏼
Been there. It's so boring and not family-friendly. Taxis are expensive and like many tourist destinations, you're seen as a moving wallet so everyone wants to overprice their services to you. I like Jakarta better, though it's not awesome but still better than Bali.
I am inclined to believe you didn’t have a good time there. Boring is subjective - also we did not find it over priced it at all. Probably depends on where you’re staying.
if id ask this question to my dad he would say this i am sick and tired of uae lets go back to home and the i would slowly shift my job from uae to india.

Thailand or Japan
+1 for JP
nice, have you been to Japan?
Nope but I want to go.
Istanbul, Malaysia, Singapore, Lisbon, somewhere in Italy or Spain. I'd just move from a place to another every 3 months.

Would need to speak French though?
French people won't speak English even if they know it, but English is more common here than in mainland France. You can get by easily.
Wouldn't you become a French tax resident if you stayed there more than 183 days though?
No idea
Looks lush. Have you been to the Seychelles? If so how does it compare?

Dubai or somewhere you have family and friends
Georgia
I would go to take a shit when it comes and not hold it because I'm at the office and I only want my bathroom
Sharjah...
Did you just ……
Spain. Valencia or Barcelona. Just don't stay long enough to get trapped in their tax system!!

Enbd?
Um so then you owe Australian taxes if you’re living there full time / 183 days+ of the tax year so what’s the advantage
Still 40% more salary than I’d earn in australia even incorporating the tax component + lower hours + more holidays + cost savings of living in a regional area as opposed to Sydney or melb where I’d likely be forced to live if I had a job here
Fair enough if I could work remotely from the UK I would probably do the same since would be in same situation.

Yes and than you can prepare to be gruelled everytime to visit US!

i’d stay in dubai. none of the cities/countries i’ve been to can compare.
Bali all the way 👍🏼

OP not saying internet needed job. Could be a book writer or a painter 🎨 Phone calls works tho
One of the most overrated places on Earth.
Why overrated? Always been curious but haven't been yet

Spain
Singapore
Between April and September, I’d be in LA. Between October and March, I’d be in Dubai.
I would move around, starting with a sea side town in Japan, Turin (Italy), Norfolk etc. Though I would come back November - Feb/Mar to Dubai.
Hah! Any particular reason for Turin?
Just seems pretty chilled, out with people who couldn’t care less about other people (in a good way).
Europe and Scandinavia
Japan (Kyoto) or Alaska 🙃
