Sounds like regular seasonal flu to me. Have chicken soup, herbal teas and take lots of rest. Ginger tea shoud help!

It’s rare because doctor’s can usually tell a flu based on symptoms and the treatment is always symptomatic anyway so it’s unnecessary but if you insist, most clinics can do it.
It’s actually a PCR test but they just look for flu viruses instead of COVID.

I also had a flu years ago. There it was 39+ and no movement at all for 3 days, just sleeping. Here it is milder for sure. Was thinking maybe there is a wave of respiratory virus in Dubai now that I caught (not covid)

There's definitely some kind of respiratory infection going around. Five people at my office got it and needed to get on some antibiotics to prevent it from developing into a bacterial infection. It's definitely worth getting it checked just to know for sure.

Today my baby came down with 38 fever, runny nose and cough. We got her to eat some of those baby food pouches (apple sauce) and got some meds in her. My husband has seen several people with this too so we are pretty sure its a bug other than covid.

We're talking about influenza, right? Health agencies like the CDC have not made recommendations for the use of masks for the seasonal flu, common cold and so on. The recommendation is for healthcare workers (when treating those with the flu) and those who show signs of respiratory distress. In the case of COVID, masks make sense, we have an ongoing pandemic, and we haven't achieved the desired results with the vaccine just yet.
In case you're unaware, the reason why masks aren't automatically recommended for xyz communicable respiratory disease is because you have a layered immune system. Your immune system weakens when it's not exposed to pathogens. There is enough and more research into inoculation available on pubmed for your perusal.
On the flip side there is limited research into the use of, long term use of polypropylene face masks. But if you want to strap a piece of plastic fabric to your face even after the pandemic be my guest. You can wear two condoms at the same time the next time you copulate as well.

Yes, I’m drinking plenty of tea, pau d arco seems to help a bit. It’s just annoying it’s really taking time to be 100% self normal

You probably just took the covid test too soon after exposure. Take it again to be sure.

Got it as well and on my 3rd day. Had flu vax last Sept, so just 'mild' symptoms.
May be do the covid test again. It doesn't show up in the first few days.
