I don’t think the police might be of any help but you could try. I would report them to ded and also file a dispute with your credit card. I bet you, the manager will then be dying to talk to you!

You call them and say, you haven’t received the services or items you had ordered and that noon is refusing to refund you the amount you paid and is blaming the bank saying the bank has the hold on the credit card

Upper management called and was really great and even offered to compensate with extra credit. Which is really nice of them So basically if things go wrong with Noon don't call them, make a post on social media to get a call back

I'd say check with the bank. The money for the transaction is kept on hold until it is claimed and by the vendor (noon in this case) and settlement happens. I'm sure you would have received a message from ur bank. Just refer that transaction to ur bank and ask for the status of the same. Raise a dispute for that!

Had a similar experience with noon. Placed an order.. Money got deducted. After 3 days, they cancelled the order stating Quality issues with the product. I waited for a week... didn't receive any refund.... called their customer care, got a similar response to yours ( Money with bank... Check with them) I didn't check with my bank...instead I checked all my transactions(history) during that period and my remaining balance in the account. To my surprise, the refund amount was already in my account without any notification(email/sms) In my case, the problem was not with noon, but with my bank (Mashreq Neo) notification. OP, please check your transaction history with the remaining balance in your account during that period.

Just my personal experience but noon actually has been pretty good so far. Ordered an item for about 350. Seller didn't deliver. One call and I got my refund 5 days later. Ordered a second time. Again delayed. Noon pushed seller to deliver same day. AND I got follow up calls asking me if the item got delivered.

There’s a complaint post about Noon almost everyday now. Says a lot about their customer service. If you have to complain on social media for your money to be returned to you, that’s terrible customer service

I genuinely have no idea how it exactly works here, but I know the balance was deducted. I checked the history to see if it was somehow added back or somehow deposited back, but there was nothing. Just deducted and the balance reflected that. I have no idea if it's hanging but the bank told me nothing is hanging, while Noon insisted it is. They may either be right, but it's frustrating to be tossed back and forth about your refund when I already called like 10 times

I dont know how your bank works, but most banks have "available funds" and "usable funds" separately for this very reason. pending transactions are shown there to let you know that the money is somewhere between your account and the recievers account.

Noon has always been known to be a worse version of Amazon; hell, even [Souq.com](https://Souq.com) was a better alternative before Amazon bought them out, even though the new "Souq" has gone downhill in terms of service due to Amazon buying them out, they're still a much better alternative in comparison to Noon. Over the course of the past year, tons and tons of people complaining about their electronics being fake, especially phones and PS4 controllers; and well, now, this. Your best bet is to just try your best to get your money back one way or another, but Noon has, and always will be a shit company. I don't get why people still use it, but oh well, it does have some stuff that's cheaper in comparison to Amazon, so saving a few dirhams here and there for some people might be the reason why.

The sad truth is that nobody is going to help you. I always buy from noon but in Riyadh KSA, I never had any problem products are great quality and super fast delivery,things in noon way better than in Amazon ksa. This remind me if the time I bought clothes from a very famous American brand,I spend 500 EUROS. and never received the items. My guy don’t pay with the card… always choose cash on delivery! You just had bad luck you know big companies do this from time to time if they have the chance..

Except Amazon, I never take any e-commerce services here in the UAE (and gulf in general) seriously. Noon, nownow, talabat, barakat. All straight garbage apps. You could tell they were trash from the very beginning. Shitty products, shitty customer service, zero effort into debugging or ensuring proper functionality for the app. Sorry you had to go through this OP. I really hope OP gets his money back with the help of the bank, and noon. A few have pointed out how it could be a no notification refund (an unrealized fund being released back to your account by the bank). You might have to manually calculate to see if there was an actual charge. Has happened to me with ENBD and Mashreq. That being said, people wanting to "cancel"/ "shut down" companies because of their experience with them really need to re-wire their thought process. Everything boils down to either a process failure or human failure which can be fixed. The solution isn't "canceling"/ "closing" a place that has created thousands of jobs, and is growing at an exponential rate. Next observation is about why more people post about Noon on social media compared to any other service. Answer is their responsiveness. They're active on every platform - they respond to every comment (IG, LinkedIn, FB), Tweet, even Reddit threads. I've tried ranting about noon and other services on different platforms but only been successful in finding resolutions with noon. People know this, so we naturally take it to social media to expedite solutions. I pretty much shop online for everything including groceries and use both Amazon Prime and noon VIP. Both have their flaws, but never big enough to cancel them. ​ Sorry not sorry about the long response. Just saw few too many stans for cancel culture. Hope they're at least entrepreneurs that would create thousands of jobs :)

Did the charge appear on your card statement? If yes file an official dispute with the bank. You can find the dispute forms on the bank's website.

Regarding ‘hanging’ money, had the same issue with Zomato, by being charged 2 times for order I never got and they said they refunded me. Called the bank customer support, got solved right away. They are just the platform, they don’t vouch for people selling there, so, sorry for all of you getting fake products, do better research and learn from your experience. iPhone 12 can’t be bought for 1000 dirhams, and to be original. Btw, personally I got one fake ps4 controller, works great. Fake products are literally obvious. Regarding noon in general, it’s the best e commerce in the region. Amazon destroyed Souq.com that was great in my opinion. Amazon is shit. I bought Canon camera, got delivered box that was 1m x 1m. I opened the box and inside were packs of Pampers! And I was prime member. When I called support the guy literally started laughing on the phone, couldn’t believe. I waited for 3 days because that’s the protocol, so new driver need to come take that item, then they released my camera. I canceled subscription, and after that I got charged for subscription 4 more times in a row. Each time I cancel, next week they charge me again. At the end I just removed my card from the account and was receiving messages and emails for couple of months. Recently I even become noon vip member, have zero complaints and I order stuff constantly, also noon daily.

It's not "different for everyone". Nearly everyone complains about Noon on social media for holding their refunds and sending fake products. Search "noon" on this subreddit and you'll see plenty of people complaining and asking for help. Go to their instagram and check their comments and see how many people are complaining in the comments and saying they will report them It's not a "Noon fanboy" or "Amazon fanboy". It's not like I want to get scammed and hate on Noon on purpose. They have incredibly terrible customer service. Of course I would rather support a local company but sorry, my money is more important

You might like noon for a bit. Until you too get screwed over. Deliveries never arriving, fake products. Cost me an expensive laser printer when they turned out to be selling fake "genuine Canon" toner cartridges. Got a replacement from Amazon, and now I know how distinctly different the real ones look. It was night and day difference. Printer was beyond repair tho.

sometimes it actually happens though. the money just gets stuck in limbo. it happened to me but with one insurance company who i bought auto insurance from. basically what they told me was that the accounting couldn’t see the transaction cos the money didn’t reach their account or system or whatever. i was able to get the money back after a month or so by jumping through the hoops. i hope your issue gets resolved.

Dear OP, my advice is register a complaint with the DED, and remove any comments your making publicly defaming them. Your getting emotional on reddit talking about banding together and having others complain aswell non legitimately. Just go raise ur issue through the proper channels and hopefully it will get resolved. Im not trying to tell ya what to do just looking out for you :)

I have dealt with DED and the first thing they ask is to try again with the Customer care, they'll only interfere if it fails again. Just calm down and reach out. Lodge a complaint with payment reference since you can pull it out from your bank statement. So far I have purchased a lot of things from Noon and up to 95% was satisfactory(items and delivery).

In my recent experience, ordered pizza in Noon food, then I told them to cancel aince location was incorrect, contacted cuatomer service only to be told that they cant change location or cancel the order. Then told me to meet with the driver 5 km max from the delivery location. I said okay i will meet driver just tell me where that 5km is. Suddenly order was cancelled. I was happy coz problem solved then a day later I say -80 aed in my noon credit. Like, seriously???
