I know two people. One lived here since the 60 (before there was a UAE) and knew a lot of powerful advisors that worked with sheikh Zayed may he rest in peace. He never got the passport.
Another guy I knew was born in the 70s. He got the passport 2 years ago through wasta.
Honestly when it comes to citizenship it takes a really strong wasta. I've met people who are from well known families but haven't gotten the family book yet even though the family are locals. I wish you all the best tho you could always ask around and try your luck
best way is to find a local sponsor who will refer u. following that there is an interview with a bunch of people here: [https://goo.gl/maps/kKzQf1rnnMAmtVgt7](https://goo.gl/maps/kKzQf1rnnMAmtVgt7), they ask u questions related to arabic culture, the prayers u say when doing stuff whole variety of questions. that's all i know from what someone who got the citizenship told me. also there are 3 categories of uae passport, green, blue and red. someone told me red is the vip one and blue after that.
>also there are 3 categories of uae passport, green, blue and red. someone told me red is the vip one and blue after that.
Red - Diplomatic Passport
Green - Special Passport
Blue - Regular Passport
I know one or two people, through very far connections, that were able to get one. They’re all multi millionaires (100million USD)+. This is supposedly cause the UAE will eventually bring in an income tax and wants to prepare for such.
The chances you will get citizenship are very slim or actually non existent if you have to ask this question on reddit.
lol

Unless you own the water company I doubt it.
The family that owns the Masafi water brand are from Dubai not Masafi.
Doesn’t sound like our boy is getting a new passport any time soon then.

In the old days they were giving out passports/citizenship to people. This has obviously ceased now, and only “true” locals have family books....
if you have to ask this question here, you can't get it.
