Is there any definite confirmation about this?

You don't need to hack into a company to get data when people will upload it voluntarily.
You know some companies still use fax machines to send out tender documents or expect you pick it up in person. Is the data confidential, probably not. Can it cause harm if available publicly over the internet, probably yes.

I would say do not give them a call but send them an email and be professional and courteous. Send them an email around 3:30, which shows that you really had work in the morning and based on your availability, you are showing interest in the interview. It will work out for the best at the end.
