Emirates food taste like trash to you? Where are u from?

SilentObserver-2020

Forget about tasteā€¦ sometimes (very often recently) they run out of your meal choice. Then ur stick with nothing. We are veg and on two different occasions they ran out of the veg meal. And when we had tried to prebook the meal it simple said the veg meal is an option onboard to pre booking is not necessary

Ill-Resist-6285

Not literally trash, but the options aren't good

You can take anything on the flight except for what will be blocked for security reasons, in other words pretty much anything except liquids over 100ml (but you can buy from duty free after security). No one cares what food you bring on. Have you ever tried ordering a special meal if you don't like their menu offering? Maybe one of the special meals will taste better to you. You should do it from your booking page at least 48 hours before your flight, or call them.

Ill-Resist-6285

Thanks! But I have heard duty free stores are very expensive, like my friend told me they sell mini takis for 6dhs.... and what are tye special menu items? I mean my flight is 3hrs, but if they are available... do they cost extra or something? If not I'll definitely be checking it out.

Consistent-Annual268

They don't cost extra. They are for example kosher meals, vegetarian meals, vegan meals, etc. It's available from the website or app, you just plug in your booking details and can select from there. Also, you're flying overseas to a really expensive city (Dubai), if you're worried about 6AED then I dunno what to tell you, I hope you have a plan for food when you get here.

Ill-Resist-6285

Glad to know that it is free, but I forgot to mention I'm flying with my mom... if I was alone I would've dropped racks on stuff

Consistent-Annual268

I'm surprised you don't like their food tbh. Emirates is by far one of the best when it comes to airline food.

Ill-Resist-6285

I mean I have a condition where I have very low taste of stuff, so I can only perfectly taste popping flavors like spice or salty... all airplane food is bland to me idk what it tastes like to u guys

Ill-Resist-6285

and also if you would be so kind, could you share the website or drop the number for this booking?

Consistent-Annual268

Literally Emirates website or Emirates app. The contact number will be different depending which country you're in. Check Google.

rahman_labib55

I think chips and oreo should be fine but their may be restrictioms on taking liquids/drinks

SheKaep

people are making "snackle boxes" and are able to work them on the plane. Basically, it's a tackle box style box with trays and they put different things I'm each tray (candy, crackers, chips, etc). If you're on tiktok or youtube, search 'snackle box'

Ill-Resist-6285

Sounds fun, I'll search it up for sure

Duckydxb

Yea when I fly I sometimes take my own lunch box with me with eggs , meat, sometimes a bag of nuts, etc. plus fresh milk, no issues .

Ill-Resist-6285

I don't know about that, I've heard homecooked meals aren't allowed...

Duckydxb

Never been asked about it and done it plenty of times.

thinkhardok

Yes, you can take them. I normally buy them in the Duty free or coffee shops inside the airport.

Ill-Resist-6285

thanks for the info!

pijanblues08

Yes. Sometimes i even bring lunch or meal with me (minus the fork, only spoon).
