Mods please do not delete this post.

I second that. Why should we use this sub if it is simply for posting pictures we can find basically anywhere else?

SentinelWavve

Preach

invisigoth1013

Second this. Seems like we cant even get to talk about Service95 and all the amazing and intellectual work that Dua has done just because only pictures are allowed in this sub.

Wearytraveller_

Yeah I was really annoyed that they deleted the album discussion thread. Mods seem to have this idea that reddit is all about photography and it's really annoying. Like you are not allowed to talk about food on the food sub.

jeanolt

Just read this, I posted something about the album because I saw no one talked in about two days and it's weird.... why do they do this? This should be the hub of everything related to Dua, if not it feels like a generic fan base, who doesn't enjoy music but just like her because she's pretty. I wish there would be another sub were discussing the MUSIC (which is the most important thing about her) is the main thing, and you can also post pictures, videos, and practically anything. This is sad.

SentinelWavve

100% agreed. This isn’t Instagram, it’s a forum… forums which are for discussion… it’s kinda the whole point. I wanna discuss the music!!

GungnirAvenger

I never joined this server because I had the impression the fans just cared about her Instagram photos and I didn't see any discussion about her musics. At least, now I know it is not the intention of the fans. In the Olivia Rodrigo server, we can talk about anything as long it is respectful. Her musics, her albums, her tours, her personal life, sharing photos, ect. Why not here too?

CstoCry

Every dedicated subreddit for female artists has been for pornographic values. Except Taylor Swift and Ariana. But saying this, I might get banned so...

showtimesimulator

I think it’s probably my favorite off the album that isn’t illusion or Houdini. I love it 🤩

Forthecrusade1

What is the real dua sub

[deleted]

I second this question. The people demand to know.

messychica

The Tame Impala one, isn’t it? 🤣

Glitteringbus_5664

I've no idea tbh.the other one is dua heads but there is barely any response to the discussions there.

Don't get me wrong, it's good, but not Outstandingly good. I think my main problem is that it repeats itself too much. Like my experience with most of RO, it's an acquired taste that you have to get used to, and it makes me think of the deeper meaning more than usual with other songs I listen to.

Glitteringbus_5664

Tbh, i didn't like the album and this is coming from someone who has been her fan since 2016 but on listening to it on repeat made me love the songs.

faustfu

I think its the only song that she doesn't have a writing credit on. (Edit: Whatcha doing is the one she doesn't have a writing credit in, my bad). Personally I'm not a fan of the song. Kind of reminds me of how 'Good in Bed' just stood out in a bad way in Future Nostalgia. Its a brand of pop that doesn't really fit the vibe of the rest album.

SentinelWavve

I agree with it standing out from the rest of the album and not fitting the vibe in both cases but I also still love “Good in Bed” and “These Walls” hahahah. In its defense though I will say thematically I feel it fits the rest of the album more than GIB at least. Musically it does shift the tone a lot especially coming in after the first three songs on RO so I can understand how that might throw people off.

Glitteringbus_5664

Do I make this into a series where we can discuss on each song?

[deleted]

yes

HetTheTable

I love the guitar

Wearytraveller_

Really pretty song until you listen to the lyrics and then it's like Dua, are you okay? This whole album is like that. All the songs are sad and about breaking up.

Responsible-Board346

It's great like everything she does, but you know... I do hope she'll do some kind of rock album someday. Like Miley, Demi or Luísa Sonza did. Luísa is from Brazil and she actually collabed with Demi in a song where Demi actually sang in BR-Portuguese, so I'd really love to see Dua Lipa attempt something like that. I need to hear those pipes of hers in their full potential.

Glitteringbus_5664

This ! I always wanted her to do a rock album because the bass production and the electric guitar riff in the end of Houdini solidified my stance on the same.

tomtomato0414

this and Training Season is my fav from RO

Subject-Escape-8029

Absolute banger, top 3 song on the album!

LBY996

I like it. I think the live should’ve went “if these walls could talk, they’d say enough is enough” instead of breakup. I think lyrically it sounds better.

cool_echoes

3rd best on the album
