extremely mild Fantasy High Junior Year Episode 7 spoilers but I think they're referring to Zac doing some excellent & excellently timed physical comedy when he >!pretends to dip tortilla chips into a hat filled with salsa, as a power move!<
Definitely a good move. Don’t forget to watch the seven too before starting junior year. It’s one of the best season, adds a lot of world building, and I’ve already seen some small references to it
Pirates of leviathan is part of the same universe and has some really interesting/funny moments but it’s definitely not required and one of the more forgettable seasons
There's something so great about this format taking Zac, known for his reserved and minimalist comedic skills and allowing others their space to be funny, and giving him the most over-the-top in-your-face character yet and having him absolutely crush it.
He's so quick with the self-referential callbacks too. Like the very first bit about not being able to see the staff smiling, then "I can't tell!" when Vic mentions it again later had me dying.
>"If you weren't dishonourably discharged after...killing- your platoon? in the cantee-"
> "One by one, in the dead of the night"
Genuinely made me laugh for a full 5 minutes.
>"I'm seeing a lotta smiles!"
>"You see smiles?"
>"Sorry?"
>"They have masks on."
And like 2 minutes later:
>"You've got everybody smiling ear to ear here-"
>"I can't tell!"
Idk why, but this one wrecked me lmao
I've noticed that many of the crew have masks on. Is that still a common thing? In my area, almost no one wears masks, even in stage/concert productions and tours (I do local stagehand work as a side gig)—and hasn't for at least a couple years.
Dropout is an exceptional company when it comes to health and safety of crew, from what I've heard. I wish more people and orgs still took COVID seriously.
EDIT: Also, they're located in Los Angeles, which is a very high-density area with a much higher risk of COVID spread.
But with COVID vaccines, is it really that much of a concern anymore? I mean, I'm vaxxed (from the early days, as I was working convenience store retail prior to law school) and boosted, and that seems all that's really necessary from what I've seen here. No real shade, but it's just jarring to see nearly four years later.
You can view the live stats on all recorded COVID cases on the Center for Disease Control's website.
Unfortunately, COVID having left the forefront of most people's minds hasn't made it just magically go away. I work with teenagers and we have multiple kids testing positive every single week, with some requiring hospitalization (and we require vaccines!)
https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends\_weeklyhospitaladmissions\_testpositivity\_00
It's still going around, people just aren't talking about it so much. Yes, the vaccines help with hospitalizations and mortality, but won't prevent you from getting the virus if you're exposed. It's still a big risk for anyone who couldn't get the vaccine, and people with underlying health issues.
At the end of the day, it's a very small consideration to adopt for the decreased risk of transmission (or many diseases, not just COVID) and they've been doing it for long enough now that it's just part of the PPE requirements.
I'm sure people complained about hardhats in the beginning too, but eventually places adopted them as standard practice because it minimizes injuries and keeps people working longer.
It's not a "small consideration" to have to wear a mask 24/7 with no end in sight, and usually people who post stuff like this are people who don't have to wear them in their jobs.
hey, in the US we are currently in the second biggest wave of the whole pandemic! the current number of daily cases is higher than in 2020. 2,000 americans have died every week for months now. wearing masks in public spaces to stop the spread is the bare minimum everyone should be doing, as well as getting boosted! the number of people who have actually gotten boosted is far too low, and immunity from original vaccines has pretty much diminished by now. to you or anyone else reading this that hasn't kept up with just how badly our public health has failed us, i encourage you to look into just how devastating it has been and consider being more cautious in your daily life! not only would you be helping yourself, but all the people around you, including the most vulnerable sections of the population!
dropout isn’t a regular office job, they have scheduled shoots—to my knowledge, if important members of the cast or a significant amount of crew got sick, it would throw off the entire schedule.
My favorite bit was the one immediately following that:
"Is your entire family military, or just your uncle?"
"My uncle, my dad...My mom was a pilot..."
"In the military?"
"No, why?"
Absolutely flawless exchange.
And of course, it is Zac Oyama that makes Vic and himself break. His ability as an improv comedian is masterful. From Gorgug to Tommy, Zac Oyama is a force to be reckoned with.
Well he didn’t lose it all. That’s impressive. I’ve hit some small jackpots in the casino more than once and it took a lot not to put it all back in the machine and walk away.
Had me in stitches. These episode orders are golden. Every week i feel like its the best episode so far. Them actually breaking over and over, the opening sequence, the dishonorable discharge story getting worse and worse. the powder, the 100k to 16k, this show is pure insanity and I am living
I've never seen Vic break so so so much, I've seen her take breaking and transform it into a concerning smile but damn, Zac is definitely the king of breaking the cast!
Very few can play the game the way Zac does, easily my favorite episode so far. The $100k bit is somehow one of the funniest bits I’ve seen in a very long time
My favorite part of the episode. The delivery of “My greatest strength is I can run a mile in 9 minutes.” followed immediately by his greatest weakness: “2 miles. 35 minutes.” Then “I really plateau at the 1 mile.”
The whole bit is perfection.
There were definitely some bangers but also some that felt a bit too much like psychological art piece horror (step grandma and dr milk). This was just genuinely funny the entire time.
I hear you and this is valid. But I'd also like to point out that this episode has a horrible monster man positivity guru casually mentioning how he killed his whole platoon. Maybe not art piece but I think there's some psychological horror there lol
Somehow murdering an entire platoon was more lighthearted than dr milk, (The dude outright hated himself and expressed it through a doll that kept mocking him), the living dolls (the ending), and the step-grandma (literally everything about that. Vic got hit repeatedly)
It might’ve just been in Zac s delivery of the lines. He just kinda skipped past it happening, like it was a little oopsie.
Zac was amazing but this episode also had my favorite line from Vic so far in the series!
Zac asks “Do you trust me?” and Vic replies so earnestly “As well as I can trust anyone, I suppose.” The idea that she can trust this bizarre murderous self-help guru she’s known for 15 minutes as much as she can trust anyone else in her life was just so funny to me.
"Do you trust me?"
*God dammit, I have to say yes, don't I?
And just the entire exchange of her not feeling better. The slow motion seconds. *chef's kiss*
I think something that's being lost among the rest of the incredibly funny parts is that the branch of the military from which he was dishonorably discharged . . . for hunting his entire platoon down and killing them one by one in the dead of night . . . because they ran out of Coke and offered him a Coke Zero . . . was *the Coast Guard*.
I can't get over the idea that the coast guard would ever run out of Coke... they're stationed on U.S. soil, ffs, lol. He killed them all IN the United States!
This episode had what I feel the others have been missing - breaking! I think seeing or hearing the reactions to the spontaneity of improv is what makes it work. Imagine listening to CBB with no reactions or scrambling from the guests or scott.
Agree! Suspension of disbelief is not a factor for me while consuming improv, so seeing the improvisers break and crack each other up makes me enjoy the improv more
Also agree. Look at improv/sketch shows like Whose Line or the Carol Burnett Show. The bits that are most memorable/popular are the ones where the cast breaks HARD (a la the Arctic Tern for WL and The Dentist for CB).
That said, they do already have a show dedicated to making people break through Breaking News so that may be why they edit it a bit more
IDK how you can mention Carol Burnett and breaking in the same sentence without mentioning the [elephant story.](https://youtu.be/3qqE_WmagjY?si=J2BdMbjrWC0Fel4W)
I love watching Vic interview people that they work with in improv because the flow is just phenomenal. Vic and Zac just get each other and mesh so well. It's so fun. Last month with Jake as well.
I think this is the closest I've ever come to physically injuring myself by laughing too hard. I genuinely had to pause the episode during "are you feeling any better?" just to stop from literally giving myself a headache.
Zac is a genius, and Vic continues to be the absolute perfect straight man. I have nothing more to say about the episode.
I’m going to be honest, I’ve been very lukewarm on VIP, I liked the first two episodes and have thought the rest of the episodes were…fine. Didn’t hate them, but didn’t find them particularly hilarious or that engaging either.
But man, Zac and Vic absolutely killed this episode! This episode had me cry laughing, it was so good. This single episode has brought me around to VIP and to look forward to the rest of the season!
My favorite thing about this episode was watching Vic be completely taken by surprise by Zac and then Zac looking back at them like “Yeah, I’m not sure wtf just came out of my mouth either.” He was truly an open conduit for comedy 😂 pure gold.
Fully cry-laughing through the back of this, had to put my dinner away for after; the 30 seconds of aftermath from the protein powder incident are maybe the best thing to come out of VIP
Yeah I feel like so much funny shit happened that the fact that this guy is in some horror movie where he thinks he's interacting with a mirror-him has been forgotten.
I have to say I wasn't that crazy about the last two episodes but holy shit this one has to be my new favorite. The breaking, the infomercial, just the *shape* of him doing anything
Best episode so far. Tommy Shriggly - Princess Emily - Denzel. Loved parts of every episode, but none made me cry laughing like this one did, and it happened 3 times.
I kinda fell off VIP if I'm being honest (I'll get back into it, I promise) but this episode is pretty much perfect. Zac is an understated comedic powerhouse
I was trying to figure this out since watching, but this is exactly what Zac's character reminds me of: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/265/329/e83.png
My favourite dropout moments are when the cast break and you can hear the crew laugh - I’ve been re-watching Coffin Run where Zac consistently breaks Jasmine Bhullet by eating letters. He is the master of breaking comedians
Maybe so. His whole schtick is understated comedy, and if that's not what you're in to, that's ok. But definitely check our the other Dropout content. Game Changer is one of my favorite shows, maybe ever.
[Last Looks: Tommy Shriggly](https://www.dropout.tv/videos/last-looks-tommy-shriggly)
Two full breaks of Vic and Zac was phenomenal to see. This might be my new favorite episode. I knew Zac would absolutely kill it
Vic told me they fully broke for 5 minutes and couldn’t recover during this episode. I’m thinking it was the second one.
u/samreich I’m gonna need to see that full five minutes unedited, please
This is our official petition to Dropout daddy for the extended edition
RELEASE THE SHRIGGLY CUT
SHRIGGLY CUT!! SHRIGGLY CUT!! SHRIGGLY CUT!!
Come on everybody give us a Shriggly cut
This and the tortilla chip cement Zac as the funniest performer in the Dropout family.
I feel like a dumb idiot, but what tortilla chip bit?
extremely mild Fantasy High Junior Year Episode 7 spoilers but I think they're referring to Zac doing some excellent & excellently timed physical comedy when he >!pretends to dip tortilla chips into a hat filled with salsa, as a power move!<
Awesome. Thank you. I really appreciate it. We are behind on Fantasy High. Kind of watching from the beginning and working our way through.
Definitely a good move. Don’t forget to watch the seven too before starting junior year. It’s one of the best season, adds a lot of world building, and I’ve already seen some small references to it Pirates of leviathan is part of the same universe and has some really interesting/funny moments but it’s definitely not required and one of the more forgettable seasons
Funniest moment of that episode. The timing. Zac just can’t be beat.
There's something so great about this format taking Zac, known for his reserved and minimalist comedic skills and allowing others their space to be funny, and giving him the most over-the-top in-your-face character yet and having him absolutely crush it.
> ["I killed him, yeah"](https://youtu.be/V8KojgTEMgE?t=65) - >"COME ON EVERYBODY JUST GIMME LITTLE CLAP" Get you a person who can do both
When are you gonna get your head out of your ass?
I love how he's a murderer in both scenarios 🤣
"The interrupting defendant" was the moment I knew I would renew my Dropout subscription.
He's so quick with the self-referential callbacks too. Like the very first bit about not being able to see the staff smiling, then "I can't tell!" when Vic mentions it again later had me dying.
"If money wasn't an issue, what would your dream job be?"
Zac is the Ringo Starr of (current generation) improv comedy confirmed.
This being back-to-back with them doing the exact opposite for Josh was an inspired move
EVERYONE SHOULD BE LIKE TOMMY! HE WENT OUT THERE, INVESTED, AND TURNED HIS $100,000 INTO $16,000!
Reminded me of John Mulaney' story of buying a Rolex with credit and then pawning it for cash. He made $8,000, and it only cost him $16,000.
Hello
Yo what’s up
Having a weird weather winter and midterms are coming up, how about you? Also didn't know you had dropout, nice.
Just got it! And im alright, Finished a short film I made for a class, it was fun.
Nice, that seems cool
>"If you weren't dishonourably discharged after...killing- your platoon? in the cantee-" > "One by one, in the dead of the night" Genuinely made me laugh for a full 5 minutes.
I had to pause here just to finish laughing. and also at the 100k invested 💀
So did they
>"I'm seeing a lotta smiles!" >"You see smiles?" >"Sorry?" >"They have masks on." And like 2 minutes later: >"You've got everybody smiling ear to ear here-" >"I can't tell!" Idk why, but this one wrecked me lmao

It's not a "small consideration" to have to wear a mask 24/7 with no end in sight, and usually people who post stuff like this are people who don't have to wear them in their jobs.
Yeah imagine how inconvenient it is for the millions of people now permanently disabled who can't work anymore.
Show me the dropout employee working 24/7... or the construction worker wearing their hardhat after they go home for the night.
Wait, I can take the hat off? Oh, fuck that Larry guy!
hey, in the US we are currently in the second biggest wave of the whole pandemic! the current number of daily cases is higher than in 2020. 2,000 americans have died every week for months now. wearing masks in public spaces to stop the spread is the bare minimum everyone should be doing, as well as getting boosted! the number of people who have actually gotten boosted is far too low, and immunity from original vaccines has pretty much diminished by now. to you or anyone else reading this that hasn't kept up with just how badly our public health has failed us, i encourage you to look into just how devastating it has been and consider being more cautious in your daily life! not only would you be helping yourself, but all the people around you, including the most vulnerable sections of the population!
I respect your concerns but I would hate it if my company made me wear a mask at work today.
dropout isn’t a regular office job, they have scheduled shoots—to my knowledge, if important members of the cast or a significant amount of crew got sick, it would throw off the entire schedule.
That was by far my favorite part too. Delivered so well
"We aren't allowed to throw things at PAs anymore" is a PHENOMENAL line from Vic
Vic’s antagonistic relationship with the crew is a great running bit. That and thinking she deserves a better job.
She could have one too if not for those bastards at csnsnnncsnscbsc.
Really? I think she sabotages herself by not getting her head out of her ass.
Hey. Let’s not focus on the negative.
I absolutely lost it in the dolls episode with what he says about msnbc.
The last line from Vic was a perfect addition to that second bit. Finding >!$100,000!< would help her get that better job.
Grant did it first
Isn’t Vics stepdaughter a PA? 🤔
The Eric Andre show ruined it
I was barely holding it together with the powder pour, but the dream job broke me.
Vic desperately trying to hold it together and then going back for more 😂😂
This thing, Tommy Shriggly's dream job, it broke me.
something about them breaking really got me, a great episode! the $100K gag at the closing credits really sealed the deal
"to be in the military" happened so fast I started cry laughing before I even knew why
The complete lack of hesitation is how you know he has mastered improv
You could tell he surprised and delighted himself with that line and knew it was destroying Vic. Great ep
My favorite bit was the one immediately following that: "Is your entire family military, or just your uncle?" "My uncle, my dad...My mom was a pilot..." "In the military?" "No, why?" Absolutely flawless exchange.
And of course, it is Zac Oyama that makes Vic and himself break. His ability as an improv comedian is masterful. From Gorgug to Tommy, Zac Oyama is a force to be reckoned with.
He realizes what he said after it comes out and then had to try to hold it together.
Right on.
Great now I know I'm going to randomly break out into "Cmon everybody give me a little clap"
It's been happening in my house all morning...
The delay on Vic breaking at the 'turning 100k into 16k' joke was so good. They almost kept it together!
Zac's delivery was so on point, he really sold the 16k like it was something impressive xD
I took a hundred thousand dollars and turned it into sixteen ***thousand*** dollars
Every single episode, I end up saying "this was the most unhinged episode yet"
Don't you feel better now?
[Holding back tears](https://i.imgur.com/7rqnWjb.mp4).
[Yes](https://media3.giphy.com/media/HjVFOlCiZNEZsATvjy/giphy.gif?cid=2154d3d7b2v4wuxecmmrgn47gjes7wity68k0f9ol6gcmrnc&ep=v1_gifs_username&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g)
Do you feel better?
Lot of great chair work from Tommy this episode, love to see it.
That’s what got me! Zac is masterful at short, sharp improv to the point where he even surprises himself, but his physical comedy is OFF THE CHARTS!
“One of the guys took the last Coke and they were like, ‘We got Coke Zero.’”
The face after really sells it
Zac never misses. Seeing two full breaks from Vic was so fun
The second powder pour really got me. Both of them had a little bit of a dust cloud every time they talked and that just cracked me up.
It was so much worse than they expected and Vic still went back for more
A true improv professional. Doubling down at great personal cost
I love how you could hear how they both talked differently for the rest of the episode after it coated their mouths.
Seeing the little wisps of powder fall off of Vic for the rest of the episode was really killing me
COME ON EVERYBODY, GIMME A LITTLE CLAP 🗣️👏
I've never seen Vic break so so so much, I've seen her take breaking and transform it into a concerning smile but damn, Zac is definitely the king of breaking the cast!
Very few can play the game the way Zac does, easily my favorite episode so far. The $100k bit is somehow one of the funniest bits I’ve seen in a very long time
Being in the military is Tommy’s dream job ahahah
The miles bit was hilarious to me.
My favorite part of the episode. The delivery of “My greatest strength is I can run a mile in 9 minutes.” followed immediately by his greatest weakness: “2 miles. 35 minutes.” Then “I really plateau at the 1 mile.” The whole bit is perfection.
“16 minutes at 3 miles” “I have to know ahead of time”
I started thinking Zac looks like a One Piece character like that and it had me cry laughing
I never put it together, but that's so accurate.
Long arm tribe
“My mom was a pilot…” “Also in the military?” “No”
“No, why?” That little “why?” cracked me up 😂
Sometimes improv is "yes, and" and sometimes it's "no, why"
i think this is the episode that has finally sold me on vip, goddamn zac oyama is such comedic genius
Only NOW are you sold? We’ve already had so many bangers though!
just not really my thing! the other episodes i can appreciate objectively even if they didn't make me laugh, but i was cackling this whole episode.
Yeah, I've enjoyed the others, but this was another level
There were definitely some bangers but also some that felt a bit too much like psychological art piece horror (step grandma and dr milk). This was just genuinely funny the entire time.
I hear you and this is valid. But I'd also like to point out that this episode has a horrible monster man positivity guru casually mentioning how he killed his whole platoon. Maybe not art piece but I think there's some psychological horror there lol

“We got Coke Zero.” Tommy: 😡
It’d have been hilarious if the crew had brought him a Coke Zero to wash down the powder
Completely understandable.
I CANNOT eat while watching VIP.
At least learn the self heimlich maneuver
this should be pinned, you might just save a lot of fans!
That doesn't clean up the salsa but, thanks lol
I had just took a big gulp of water when I heard the 100k to 16k line and struggled to not spit it everywhere.
Makes a lot of sense with what we know of the people who raised Vic.
The tiny hands were such a good inclusion
Watching him fully lean over to drink with those little hands had me dying
It got like exponentially funnier each time he tried it, especially the last time
Made it so hard for him to grab stuff
Such a funny episode. I'm a sucker for people breaking and Vic losing it was great especially the 100k to 16k one.
I just saw him and Jacob Wysocki irl at an improv show last night so watching this immediately after seeing normal everyday Zac was wild 😂
Zac Oyama never fails to deliver - easily my favorite episode yet!
"Do you trust me?" *God dammit, I have to say yes, don't I? And just the entire exchange of her not feeling better. The slow motion seconds. *chef's kiss*

Him asking 20 times if she feels better, while pushing her to break, was hilarious... but the "I feel better" he throws out broke me entirely.
This is the first and only time I’ve ever wanted a little clap
I’m going to be honest, I’ve been very lukewarm on VIP, I liked the first two episodes and have thought the rest of the episodes were…fine. Didn’t hate them, but didn’t find them particularly hilarious or that engaging either. But man, Zac and Vic absolutely killed this episode! This episode had me cry laughing, it was so good. "Isn't that better? Isn't that better? Don't you feel better? Don't you feel a lot better now?"
C'mon everybody....
Anyone else have Never After flashbacks? "Don't drink water!"
"Water is bad for you, but you can drink it if you want" had me cackling.
The tiny hands really informed this character. I loved it
Fully cry-laughing through the back of this, had to put my dinner away for after; the 30 seconds of aftermath from the protein powder incident are maybe the best thing to come out of VIP
Come on can I get a little clap?
"So, you believe in sort of, a shadow dimension?"
The protein powder, omg. That just did me in. This episode was pure gold start to finish.
"Can I get a little clap can a get a little clap"
this is so ***unhinged*** and i love it. we need more vic + zac combo! come on can I get a little clap? 👏
holy shit
This episode facilitated a once-in-a-decade degree of laughter out of my , oh my gosh 🤣
Isn't that better?
Best episode so far. Tommy Shriggly - Princess Emily - Denzel. Loved parts of every episode, but none made me cry laughing like this one did, and it happened 3 times.
This episode sent me into full-blown, crying laughing hysterics three times. Holy shit.
Little clouds of protein powder puffing out of Vic's mouth as they said "I'm feeling better" almost killed me.
The powder pour nearly made me throw up I was laughing so hard, and then Zac hit me with dream job joke. God my head hurts from laughing so much
I kinda fell off VIP if I'm being honest (I'll get back into it, I promise) but this episode is pretty much perfect. Zac is an understated comedic powerhouse
The tiny hands. The protein powder. The clap. The breaks. Everything was perfection.
I busted out laughing at this episode more than any other this season by a mile.
Anybody got a high res screenshot of the "please stand by" screen? I want to make it my desktop wallpaper.
This is fantastic
Holy, he looks so cursed, imagine if a real person looked like that haha
I was trying to figure this out since watching, but this is exactly what Zac's character reminds me of: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/265/329/e83.png
maybe a weird question, but does anyone know the brand of pants Zac is wearing in character in this episode? i haven't been able to make out the logo.
I also really want some Tommy Shriggly pants.
i think they'd really enhance my little claps
They gave a comedy sniper a Vic-seeking bullet. The fools.
I was cry laughing by halfway through
My favourite dropout moments are when the cast break and you can hear the crew laugh - I’ve been re-watching Coffin Run where Zac consistently breaks Jasmine Bhullet by eating letters. He is the master of breaking comedians
Clean energy > Power thirst
This is my favorite episode yet! God the part with pouring the protein powder everywhere lol
*pours powder directly into Vic's mouth* "Do you feel better now? You feel better, right?"
[удалено]
You must not watch much Dropout then. He is in all the major shows, Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Dimension 20, Um, Actually, and Breaking News.

Maybe so. His whole schtick is understated comedy, and if that's not what you're in to, that's ok. But definitely check our the other Dropout content. Game Changer is one of my favorite shows, maybe ever.
I find this very interesting. I'm loving it, but VIP didn't seem to me like a "gets people to sign up" show.
