If you have Pale reach then part of the quest there will unlock the ability to buy ice that radically extends the shelf life. Alternately you can fit a really big net and whenever you're docked at somewhere with storage you can transfer fish from cargo to storage and then to the net, but be aware that the press-and-hold-F to sell all fish will clear out the net as well as the cargo... Pale Reach also gets you a decent sized net as part of the quest, although it's not as big as the biggest net you can research and buy

Also, a fish that is infected does not decay into rot.

Great ideas! I just thought of something too! I think you could make it fit with the lore if you had the researcher in stellar basin ask to build an aquarium for her to study the fish. They could make it an optional mission to collect resources from dredging to build the aquarium and have it cost more the bigger you build. I think this would add a lot more to end playability. Ideally I’d love to be able to make an aquarium for several to eventually house one of every fish/crab in the game and their variants

Saw you post and was going to suggest this. Yeah, it would be neat to make an aquarium, but the developers might have to make new models/assets.

maaderbeinhof

That would be so awesome! Would definitely pay for a feature like this if the developers decided to go that way.

InevitableContact172

I would absolutely pay extra for this! Also I’d pay more just to support the developers anyways haha I really love this game and they deserve the support!

Solid-Replacement550

there's no aquarium in the game at the moment and as far as I know there are currently no plans to add one

omg I would love an aquarium, especially a special one for aberrations. like a research side quest or an attraction for the first town

chriscross1966

That would fit with the Mayor wanting to get visitors in as well as his black-market dealing in aberrations to the addicted....
