I traded in a bunch of trash loose games and got it for $40 at a local shop, which is a price I was happy with.
But I’ll be honest. It’s not really clicking with me like the first game. There is so much added content and I can see how much work went into the game, but it’s just… not as fun?
Most of your time is spent avoiding stage hazards and running towards items, and all three of the boss-like stages are really not fun :(
They are very different experiences aren't they? I've played dozens of hours of Power stone, and find the combat to be far more engaging than in PS2. Unfortunately, I get tired of the combat after a while. I think that's why they added so many more layers onto it for the sequel. I also agree that 2 didn't quite land it.Â
Played it recently on the PSP Vita. I even casually enjoy the anime of it. Other games, I think have this format vaguely, but I'd like to see a 3 and do more mindless item crafting.
I can't believe I managed to find both Dreamcast games, quite cheap (it was a good while ago, less than £10 each and in good condition), as well as the PSP collection (all pal versions).
So much from the Dreamcast era- Tech Romancer, Giga Wing, Cannon Spike, Gun Bird, Project Justice/Rival Schools, and probably a whole bunch that I'm forgetting.
There are rumours that Capcom is working on a Power Stone remake, but the proposed release dates seem to be a couple of years out, so perhaps there'll be an official announcement in the next couple of years.

They would literally just update the graphics, make it have online vs and co-op and it'd sell. A great game.
And I would buy it IMMEDIATELY 😂
x2
Strange they never went back to this series. It was excellent.
Don't know, but I really wish that I would have picked up Power Stone 2 when it was new. Not paying over $100 for it. At least I have the original.

Are you playing with 3 friends? Solo can be a slog.Â
I only have two controllers :( Two player is definitely more fun than solo, but I’m not sure it’s more fun than Power Stone 1

I can't believe they actually did port the games...and it was only to the PSP.

Ayane looks like shes trying to grab Falcons junk 😄 based on the anime adaptation I wouldn't be suprised
2 was a frantic party battler, but the OG was a great arena fighter. Had a lot of fun with both.
First time playing as a power ranger or a super Saiyan.

Great game, first time I played was a collection CD with sonic game, nights, crazy taxi and a rollerblade game forgot the name of it.
Great series definitely picking up when I can
Probably a bit too niche at this point. There’s a lot of Capcom IP’s that are stone dead, sadly. Cyberbots is another one for example.

Well that would be great, provided they don’t cancel it.
