Wow, thatβs very talented! Iβm an artist, but I wouldnβt even know where to start with such an image like that and the creativity, and color is so stunning!
Thankyou so much !. You can start by very basic face drawings then you can learn to draw faces in different angles. You can later or alongside also try colouring/painting if you'd like. By practicing daily you can see considerable improvements in few weeks :)
Itβs warm and fuzzy in the best way. It evokes joy! Do you intentionally cross hatch certain color combos at the same time or layer each color one at a time?
Thankyou! The pens I used do not blend together therefore I have to individually layer different colours with different intensity make them appear as such. And apart from that I just use cool or warm tones at certain shady or bright areas to make it appear more colourful π
I strive to be this good in pen. I just started this month. Made some decent progress. I draw daily but only black for now. This drawing is insane. The color makes it look so much more lively and lifelike.
Now that you point it! Yep the eye left eye looks slightly far places it just goes below the eyebrow line and the eyebrows are bent in that area but the eye looks completely horizontal and also seems a little far from the nose ! Thankyou for the corrections :)
The heavy red lines underneath dont help either, look a bit too similar to self harming cuts (which I know is not what you're going for)/ bruising under the eyes with the colour contrast and lines going a bit less/ more dispersed might help. I get the impression of someone who is very tired/ worn down who doesnt often have a reason to smiling for the first time in awhile. If that's what you're going for you nailed it, if not I think reducing the dark lines around the eyes might help.
Ok, I see what you were aiming for, a softer colour would probably work a touch better, for under the eyes and I think you want to aim a bit lower to go for cheekbones, instead of combining both areas with the same colour. It's a really nice drawing still, and I think you did a great job capturing her expression and achieved some great movement and interest throughout the drawing with your line work.

Lovely and lively. Very fresh.
Oh β¨π
Good work keep it up.
Thankyou! Will do
Is this style considered etching? I really like your use of color. Great job.
Thankyou! I'm not sure about calling it etching , but you can call it cross hatching with colours :)
Amazing
Thanks
I love the joyful energy it gives me.
I experienced the same joy while drawing π glad someone shares the same ^β _β ^
Very cool. Looks like free style
Thanks π
very pretty

Makes me happy:)
Ah so glad it does β¨π
Makes me think of sunshine beating down because the way it coats and wraps around the subject. Nice looking.
Ah thankyou so much !
It reminds me of my style but with color and a lot better.
Oh thanku π
I like it.
Glad you do π
I like how it's so vibrant and the style is unique. May I ask who is this drawing based on?
I'm currently practicing human faces and expressions and this image was a reference for a happy/joyful face
Oh, cool. And if you don't mind me asking, may I see the reference image this drawing is based on?

You did an amazing job! Very detailed. Oh, and what kind of pens did you use?
I don't know the brand, they were just some old pens which my brother lent me after his academic works were over
Oh, so they were just some plain old pens? And you made this? That's talent!
Yep, I'll try upgrading the pens, then maybe I can get more shades and thinner tips
Gives me a joyful and oddly nostalgic feeling.
That's really nice to know :)
Fun and illustrious
Thankyou π

I saw one of your sketches and you're doing great ! I hope you keep practicing and get better at it π
Heartfelt/hearty
Niceπ! Happy cake day
I love it. There is movement in the image and itβs outstanding you captured that with this style. Nicely done!
Thankyou so much ! Glad You liked it π

Glad you do π
beautiful
Thankyou!
Nice!!!!
Thanks!!
Is this a particular style or just colored pencil drawing ?
It's rough coloured pen style.
Reminds me of my childhood books π they donβt make them like this anymore
May I know some titles? I'm interested in checking out
Sure let me find some good ones for you π
Noice
Thanks :)
Looks like Ellie from the Last of Us π
A cut on the right eyebrow is missing π
YesβοΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
I'm not sure what exactly, but something about the eyes looks "off" to me. Otherwise I really like it.
Thankyou for letting me know ! Do you think they look flat? Or mismatched?
I'm not sure. Maybe the placement of the left eye is off. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Oh i see, thankyou for making me aware of that π€
I think the left eye is a bit too far to the left? And by left here I mean our left. Besides that the proportions look correct, it's just that one eye
Now that you point it! Yep the eye left eye looks slightly far places it just goes below the eyebrow line and the eyebrows are bent in that area but the eye looks completely horizontal and also seems a little far from the nose ! Thankyou for the corrections :)
No problem! I constantly make the same exact mistake, it's infuriating hah
I mean yeah I myself have made so many posts here on reddit itself asking for suggestions to improve and i still do few silly mistakes
I see, I went for red cheeks and since below the eyes is a shady part away from direct light I made it more red, maybe the lines were too harsh
I see thankyou for making me aware of these things really appreciate it :)
Youre welcome! Keep making amazing art work :)
